Hello, I currently have 2 15" q series dual 2 ohm with the b/p option .I'm running these subs in a sealed enclosure and would like to try them in a ported enclosure of 4 cft tuned to 30 hz .However, the FI Audio site doesn't tell you about port length only port area. I was hoping i might be able to receive some help here.

i read the guide on here for the ssd's, and its a pretty wide range of sizes. I have plenty of room, and was thinking tuning to 32hz and about 16-17 cubes gross. Will be subs up and port back in expedition running off 1 saz1500d. Any suggestions, or does that sound like good place to start? thanks

I have a pair of 10" BL's. I'm running these with an MA Audio HK4000D, I've been running it at 2 ohms so they'd get about 1900 watts each. I'm planning to drop the ohm load to .5 and send them more power, at least 2500 watts each. What would the recommended enclosure size be for this increased power? I'll figure out the ports and such after but I want to know what size enclosure would be right for that amount of power.

I am going to build (or have built) a 1.88 cu.ft. enclosure tuned to 32hz for a 12" Fi BL. I want to put a round port in the box or multiple round ports or even a triangle port. Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the port? I know there are tons of calculators out there but i don't know how to take in account port noise and all that fun stuff. I don't know whether to put one port or multiple or anything. Thanks in advance!

I was wondering if 6.75ft3 net volume at 32hz is good for 4 FI BL 12's in a ported enclosure with about 6,000 watts of power?? 6.75ft3 net volume, 32hz tuning.

i have been searching the forums and technical advise.... but i dont see anything about FI speakers in a sealed application. i want to run 2-15's or 2-18's in the backseat (fiberglassed in) of my caprice, however i dont really like running ported enclosures. is sealed not an option with FI speakers?

What sort of rules apply when constructing a ported enclosure. I know the basics like tuning and port dimensions. But do subs need to be spaced a certain distance appart to be effective...? Things like that! Cheers

in my first thread i stated that i had a mtx tc4001 that i wanted to use. but it woouldnt handle the 1 ohm load that the dual2 would have or it would have a 4ohm load if i ran it in series. if i get a D1 and run it in series wont that show a 2ohm load to the amp?

I traded everything i had about 6 months ago, well, guy gave me good deal on getting all back and some new stuff he just bought. Anyway its 2 BL 18s, and 2 sundown 1500ds strapped. I had subs up, port back, 20 cubes before port and subs tuned to 33hz. It sounded great and definitely had the lows. box before was this: then i had new design done for wall behind front seats, same tuning, and specs, both boxes with 200+ square inches of port, wall box: Both boxes designed by chris at fishercustoms. I never use backseat anyway, but not sure if will make big difference as in louder if i go with a wall. any suggestions? or just go back how it was?

ill be ordering the 12" ssd's soon and temporarily they will be going in a prefab (i hate prefab) dual twelve box with the port in the middle. 2cuft per woofer. when i put my other woofers in there they were loud as f**k but when i played a song like bass mechanik moonstone that has a 20hz bassline they bottomed out and almost broke the voice coil. heres my dilemma i have been seing a lot of people use the boxes that are similar to the box i have exept the port isnt in the middle of the woofers its on the side.ex: http://subwoofertools.com/forum/ported-box...mp;Fs=&CE=0 all of the vids ive seen they either burp the woofers or they play some crap from jeezy, never any…
