i have been searching the forums and technical advise.... but i dont see anything about FI speakers in a sealed application. i want to run 2-15's or 2-18's in the backseat (fiberglassed in) of my caprice, however i dont really like running ported enclosures. is sealed not an option with FI speakers?

I have read from many 04/05 XXX users that the tinsel sometimes break. My friends 12" just broke last week and we're trying to get some tinsel wires and there so hard to find. Forum members have told me to talk to scott or nick at Fi car audio to get some. Seems they might be busy since i didn't get a reply. Hoping they see this and respond back. thanks

I have a toyota ex cab truck and I was wanting to know what is the biggest sub set up I can fit in the back? The space in the back is 19'' deep X 22'' tall X and 53'' wide. I want to do a ported box with either 2 Q18's or 2 Q15's. Given this amount of space what do you think I could fit back there? -Alex

12" BL D2 Daily Flatwind Cooling @ ~1200RMS. 2.25cuft @ 32Hz. Just wondering what the subsonic filter is recommended to be set at. Right now it hits all the lows with ease when set at ~25Hz. (Soundstream TRX1500D)

i read the guide on here for the ssd's, and its a pretty wide range of sizes. I have plenty of room, and was thinking tuning to 32hz and about 16-17 cubes gross. Will be subs up and port back in expedition running off 1 saz1500d. Any suggestions, or does that sound like good place to start? thanks

i just purshased 2 18" btls.i have 4 cf for each 8 cf gross for both.i want to tune the box to 36hz .can some one tell me how many square inches of port opening and the depth ofthe port that i need.thanks

hey, im ordering 2 BLs, i kinda have a design for a box, but need some help since this will be my first attempt at making one here is my plan i got a question on the length to the second port, i used the re enclosure so it game the the first, but does the second port wood need to be directly or close to the center of the subwoofer? and to separate the 2 woofers, do i need 2 pieces of wood or jsut 1? thanx

I am going to build (or have built) a 1.88 cu.ft. enclosure tuned to 32hz for a 12" Fi BL. I want to put a round port in the box or multiple round ports or even a triangle port. Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the port? I know there are tons of calculators out there but i don't know how to take in account port noise and all that fun stuff. I don't know whether to put one port or multiple or anything. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I currently have 2 15" q series dual 2 ohm with the b/p option .I'm running these subs in a sealed enclosure and would like to try them in a ported enclosure of 4 cft tuned to 30 hz .However, the FI Audio site doesn't tell you about port length only port area. I was hoping i might be able to receive some help here.

Well I have been looking for a new set of 12's for my truck. I just purchased a dodge mega cab that needs some serious audio loving. I have (2) 15 eclipse ti subs that will not fit. I am trying to put (2) 12's behind the rear mega cab seats. I have been thinking seriously about buying a pair of Fi BL or BTL subs but I am worried about space for the BTL's. I have 60 inches of width 23 inch height but the depth is only 7.5 inches at the top and around 11 at the bottom. Is there a way I could build a ported enclosure with those dimensions that could effectively push 2 BTL's or BL's. I would be using 2 DEI Viper D1200.1 amps. I believe I will be running this amp at 1ohm to my dual 2 ohm sub. Will this sub handle what is said to be 1500w RMS from the SAZ (which I have heard is under rated)? I am not planning to pin the gain or anything, I just do not want to blow the sub.

I traded everything i had about 6 months ago, well, guy gave me good deal on getting all back and some new stuff he just bought. Anyway its 2 BL 18s, and 2 sundown 1500ds strapped. I had subs up, port back, 20 cubes before port and subs tuned to 33hz. It sounded great and definitely had the lows. box before was this: then i had new design done for wall behind front seats, same tuning, and specs, both boxes with 200+ square inches of port, wall box: Both boxes designed by chris at fishercustoms. I never use backseat anyway, but not sure if will make big difference as in louder if i go with a wall. any suggestions? or just go back how it was?

I already have 1 BL 12 with a sundown 1500d on it now, i was going to sale it and just get some 18s or whatever. Now if I go ahead and just get another BL 12 with same options I have now which are D2, cooling, and flatwind, and run them to a pair of strapped 1500d's they should be fine with that power? I figured they would be ok, since already have 1500 watts on 1. thanks.

hello, If anyone can tell me the port length for a 15inch fully loaded BTL that would be great. they took down the specs for the new woofer i guess, making it unable for me to read it. So if anyone can tell me all the port information for a 15inch btl i would really appreciate it. Thank you

I wanted to know if the RE SX recones that fi have on the site will fit and work in the HC motor as well. I tried to get a hold of Nick at FI through several emails to find out but no reply , so after a couple of weeks I went ahead an ordered the RE SX 15 d2 as there was no recones for the HC on the site . any help would be appreciated Thanks in advance.

I am having problems with my btl's. It just started recently, when i listen to music the subs start to make loud popping sounds, Instead of a flow of bass they pop. But if i play just a tone then they seem to be fine.

Ok so i dont have much room in my car (well is a van lol) i have like 17" form my very back seat to the back window. Is that enough room for 2 15"s? I can move the seat forward like 7-8 inches if not more then i would have to take out the middle seat i would do that if its nessacery. So i will take pictures soon and post them so you guys can help me out tell me what to do. Im kinda new at this stuff so be nice. Lol

Okay so the Fi Q15 recommends a Ported box: 2.8-4 cuft @ 28-33Hz.... Using the Measurements below will i successfully build a box 4FT^3 tuned to 33Hz ? Or is the Websire giving me False Info ? whats up i was wondering if someone could tell me if a 5.573 CF. after port and sub displacement enclosure with a port thats 12.5"s tall 5"s wide 20"s long tuned at 34.73 hz. sub up port back would be a good box for a 18" fi bl or would i be better off going with a 15" bl let me know thanks.

What would be good for getting the most volume out of my 10" Fi Q. I want it to go ported for some more output, and it'll be running off of a MD1D at 1 ohm (1200 rms). Thanks a bunch

Hey Guys, Could anyone help me with a box design, I built some sealed ones, but I just am not sure how to calculate the ports and tuning with ported ones. Even with the Box calculator's. I am looking for a box to hold 2 15 BL's and a box for 1 15 BL. Tuned from 28-32 Hz, Not sure on what would sound better. 30"depth 42"width 20" heigth these are the specs I wanna work with, I can fit more but, this is really what I wanna stay around Anyway, Thankx to anyone that can help me with this.
