Would a DD 9518 on a RF T15001-bd be ok as a daily driver? Don't care much about SQ, just wondering if this sub can take hours of daily pounding. And also, off topic but is port area separate from internal box volume?

  2. super small budget build... sub is 99 bucks on woofersetc so i figured what the hell, there's a guy over on ca doing ported boxes for 30+ shipping so 130-150 for box and sub isn't too shabby.... * Peak Power Handling: 1400 Watts * RMS Power Handling: 700 Watts * Frequency Response: 16 300 * Subwoofer Size: 15" * Impedance: dual 2 ohms * Dual Voice Coils * Basket: Cast alloy basket * Recommended Box 1 (Vb): 1.50 cu. ft. sealed * Sensitivity: 1,6dB * Cone Material: Treated paper diaphragm / Poly parabolic dustcap * Former: Kapton * Terminals: Gold binding posts * Mounting Depth: 6 3/4" says 1.50 sealed, so i figure about …

  4. Anybody ever hear of this company? All they make is extremely high priced speakers and a single 10, 12 and 15. They claim to build very high efficient spl subs but the cost is ridiculous. For instance, they have a 10" sub that only uses a 2" coil, rated at 400wrms but goes for $1,000 new, $800 on ebay or $500 if you are sponsored. Here is their site- www.acshockwave.com

alright, so i currently have an 18" nightshade that im getting reconed...i kinda wanna go with a 15 instead to shed some wait off of my car...its slow as shit as it is lol, so im wanting to go a bit smaller. how much output would i lose if i went to a 15. as long as the box is still just as good it shouldn't be a noticable difference right? any help would be great guys. thanx.

i know this isn't really the sight for marine audio, but i got sooooo much help from the forums here about car audio. i recently put a 18" fi btl sub in my jeep. I have a brand new mb sports wakeboarding boat, and the stock system it has is weak! i want to replace the stock speakers, head unit, and put tower speakers, and at least 1 12" sub in the boat. i don't know anything about marine audio though, i need to know good brands out there, install tips, and pretty much everything there is to know about installing boat systems. so if any of you know a thing or two, or could point me in the right direction, it would be AWESOME!!! thanks! ok so im helping a buddy of mine build a sub box for his truck its a regular cab F-150 the sub is a 12" TE model treo sub it has for ported specs from their website: 1.6 cu ft net ,16sq in vent, 18.5 in long, F3=31HZ so i design a wedge box with the dimensions of : Height = 13.5" , width= 40.25" , upper depth = 7" , lower depth = 8.5" he wants it tune to 31Hz so i came up with these dimension for the ports: two 2" ports on each end about 5 in long know i really not sure if this is right or not was wondering if someone could give me there opinion. i dont have a box building program so i did this all my hand just some math work. thanks for your time!

After looking through diycable.com, I came across the Exodus Maelstrom line subwoofers. I am getting the Ex-Anarchys and when I saw the 21" monster I did some investigating. I have seen that it is apparently a beast of a home theater sub so I thought I would run an idea by you guys. How about two of these in a 20 ft.^3 box tuned to somewhere in the neighborhood of 24Hz? I was thinking maybe a couple of sundowns, 2500ds or 3500ds, or something like that to run them. I would be looking for absurd low end response, and I know it's not a SPL sub by any means, but what kind of output would that yield? This is just an idea and I am not even sure about going through with a …

I have 2 Fi ssd 12's that gave up on me finally. I was wondering what would be the best way to get them reconed? I have a Memphit The Mojo MC200D Amp it is 2000X1 at 2 ohm rms. Would I want to get the dual 2ohm or the dual 1ohm to run to this amp?

I'm looking for the best overall SQ and SPL, a good balance. I'm only getting one sub cus I don't really have the space for 2. But I'm getting a custom box built around 2.0 cu ft. Tuned around 33hz. I have a Rockford 1000bd-1 (birthsheet 1373rms at 14.4v) . Wired to 1 ohm. Don't say Fi Bl just because your a Fi fan, I need to know which sub is better. THanks

Anyone have any experience with is sub? I know that TC just start back up recently but was hoping to get some info on it. What size ported box would be optimum for this driver? Will it be able to handle an AQ2000 am or will that be over-kill? How does this driver compare to other drivers you have used. Is it more SQ or SPL geard? Is it durable in terms of extreme daily uses. How accurate is it? Am wanting to know anything about the sub that is out there right now. I tried accessing the site but got nothing. Thanks

  19. Yeah, I'm so happy right now, NOT! Anyway, I'm in my car with the beats going pretty good and all of a sudden the bass cuts out. I pop the trunk and run back to see WTF. My amp is on, it's not in protect, voltage is good, I'm f**kin clueless. Then as I'm about to stab the f**ckin sub it turns back on. Again, WTF. Then it doesn't exactly cut out but it plays at like 25% volume for a little while then comes back on then goes back to 25% vol. I go to the head unit, turn the volume down and after a while it seems to play normal. I wait and eventually turn the volume up again and presto! The mindf**ck starts all over again. Can a sub blow with no signs of it getting …

  21. I have a down fire for 2 12s, sealed box under the seat of my silverado. When I turn the volume up to 13 everything sounds fine when playing a song with big bass. But when I hit 14+ it almost sounds like its bottoming out. But heres the thing, when I put my hand over the bump on the top of the box and press down, that farting, blurping, vibrating (whatever you want to call it) sound goes away. Its only happening on one side Is my box coming undone? Or is it probably my sub? If it could be a box issue, what can I do and how do I find out where the issue is?

  23. I currently have an RE SX15D4 in a 4 cu ft net box tuned to 31 hertz running off an SAZ-1500D. I want cleaner bass with equivalent output or more. So I was thinking about just buying an XCON 15 Dual 2 and putting it in my current box. Then while i was looking at the classifieds forum i found 2 XCON dual 1 15's for sale for just over $500. Basically $100 more than buying 1 new XCON. If i bought them i'd put them in a sealled box 6 cu ft net. So i guess i'm asking what would you do? And i'm also wondering about power. I don't want to get a bigger amp than i have now. So if you don't think the 1500 will be up to the task of 2 15" XCON's @1 ohm sealed let me know. I'm not lo…

my budget for sub(s) is $400, I've been looking at either getting two sa-12s, two dcon 12"s, or a single xcon 12" My goal is to get loud, (don't want it for burps and competition tho) enclosure will be ported, I have plenty of room (3-6.5cubes) I'm assuming two sa-12"s would be louder than the dcons and louder then a single xcon. But then again I could be full of s***. I'll be powering it with an sae-1200d (1200watts). What would you do? I know the xcon is an amazing sub, but I also figure there is no replacement for displacement AND i'll only be running 1200watts so it won't be at its full potential. P.S: the only subs I have heard besides mine (10" type-r...) is two r…
