Subwoofers / Speakers

I have narrowed down to 1 12" ported, 2 10" ported or 2 12" sealed for bass racing! The ported box will be tuned to 32hz.

I'm Currently doing a rebuild for 2015 and I'm looking into upgrading my front stage to a 3 Way component set and just wondering if anyone would have any recommendations around the $500-700 maybe a little more if its well worth it so far my 2 choices are the CDT Audio HD-642 and the Hertz HSK 163 Hi Energy Line. I currently have an RE SX15D4 in a 4 cu ft net box tuned to 31 hertz running off an SAZ-1500D. I want cleaner bass with equivalent output or more. So I was thinking about just buying an XCON 15 Dual 2 and putting it in my current box. Then while i was looking at the classifieds forum i found 2 XCON dual 1 15's for sale for just over $500. Basically $100 more than buying 1 new XCON. If i bought them i'd put them in a sealled box 6 cu ft net. So i guess i'm asking what would you do? And i'm also wondering about power. I don't want to get a bigger amp than i have now. So if you don't think the 1500 will be up to the task of 2 15" XCON's @1 ohm sealed let me know. I'm not lo…

Want to get some opinions. Will you get a 15" or 18" sub? Let's go with the Xcon. And, why you would choose one over the other?

Ok guys, I am going to do my best to describe my setup and goals for my next system. Please help if you have had experience with any of these subs! Right now I am running: 2007 Chrysler 300C 1- Fi Q15 4 cubes tuned to 30 hz. Cadence iA7 Optima Battery Big 3 I really like my Q but I want something LOUDER. I am willing to sacrifice some SQ for SPL. I miss my head splitting bass!!! However I DO NOT want to rid of the low end output that i love so much. Hey everyone i'd like to hear some opinions on what i want for my sub stage. I want to get rockford fosgate. here are the options im thinking.. 2 12" P3's sealed or ported? 1 15" T1 ported 2 10" T0's ported 1 10" T2 ported Will be getting 1000rms to them. I've asked all my friends and their opinions are scattered lol. What do you guys think I should get? I want good sound quality and loudness as well.. id go for more sound quality than loudness but if i can get loudness too that would be great. I have about 1200 watts to work with and 1.1 cu.ft. of airspace per woofer. I'm looking for 2 12's that will do great with minimum airspace. My box is 2.2cu.ft. tuned to 32hz and i am not going to go with a one sub setup simply because of the cone area and i was wondering what you guys suggest.

Well i am fixing to give you guys a try out. I will be walling off a 93 Geo Prizm with 2 lvl 5 18's and 2 sundown 3000's. thought id post this here as i will have the car at the builders house maybe next week. Any advice on the LVL 5's. i plan to tune between 32-35hz!

what can i put on the crack to help it hold together for the time being, its a sligh crack, and its not really getting any bigger, but it probably will with time, i bought it for the mini cooper, and im gonna use it until i need a recone. it doesnt have any affect on performance so at the moment a recone doesnt concern me. but im wondering if theyres anything i can put on the crack to help hold it together (hopefully something that wont be too ugly either) but ill have to live with it. So tonight I installed some under-the-dash neons for a friend of mine who will be getting a Mag 12 with two of Sundown Audio's amplifiers and Boston comp's up front. Anyone have any expierence with this subwoofer? I've got the T4's but I got this for a temporary setup. Single 12" MOJO on a Sundown 1500d at 1/4 gain and 0/4 bass boost. Played it bout half volume for about 20 minutes and then it started to have a small tapping noise, like a I blew a tinsel lead and it's slapping against the cone. I have yet to inspect it, out of the box, but I will do that later today. Anyone maybe remotely have an idea? I wasn't pushing it but 1/4 gain, lol... It sounds pretty good for a single 12". So far I'm not impressed though, with the tapping noise, but I am impressed with the loudness of it. It gets loud with almost no gain, and no bass boost. …

I will soon be running Two SA-12s on a saz 1500d and i want to get new speakers. The ones i have in my car now are terrible, 1 is blown and the others are on the way out as well. They are 6 1/2 all around and im looking for opinions on reasonably good speakers i could pick up at best buy or something of that nature. I have seen some speakers that go for $200+ a pair and have heard of others that are half that that and do just as much.

I need a componet set to finish off my highs and mids for the front. Just want some ideas on which set gives you the biggest bang for the buck? I need either a 6.5 or a 6 3/4 to put in my front doors either will fit. Looking for something that will blow my mind with sound quality. Also does anyone know if a company makes a 3 way componet set I could have swore JL had a set that had a 6.5 a 6x9 and a tweeter with a 3 way crossover this was some time ago, maybe back in 2000. My gf just bought a car and I'm helping her set up a system in it. I have an enclosure for a 15 that is 3.5 cubes tuned to 34hz. Would that be ok for a Level 2 15 being powered by about 500 - 600 watts?
