I have the 8 speaker Boston Audio "premium" system in my 300C and have recently upgraded the (3) 3.5" speakers in the dash to Infinity Kappas. A very bright sounding speaker. I am looking to replace the 6X9's in the rear deck and front doors, but in order to get the most out of the factory Boston amp, I would like to find 2-ohm speakers similar to the infinity dash speakers that I have already replaced. However the Inifinity 6X9's take quite a bit of power (and will not be adding another amp), are there other brands that make 2-ohm coaxials??

I have a Rockford T500-1db and a Rockford P3SD410 in a ported box .75cft. I am unsure of the sound, I would like it a little tighter and deeper! I had it built buy a great shop around here, but I am looking for more, I don't mind spending some more money to get the sound I want! Maybe I should look into other shallow subs? or do you think two of these 10's sealed would be better? I already have the new Rockford T21652 components front and rear powered buy a T600-4 and a Alpine INAW-900headunit. Any advise would be greatly appreciated! I have read the internet to death trying to find a solution, in the space that I have, which is under the back seat! I am 43 years old I st…

Looking to go with a 12" sub hopefully but the box specs are the same if it was a 10 or 12 inch sub. Specs are: 1 ft 3 sealed. 5.75 mounting depth Going to be a stealth box custom made by someone other than jl... I was thinking sundown sd12? Anything out there that i could fit in a box like that and get some decent output?

The main objective here is probably going to be LSQ. I'd like to have it look "normal" when this is all said and done. The sub...that will be interesting. We'll see. This is partly a show-car (you know, with graphics all over it and such), so obviously it needs to look presentable. In terms of both speaker and sub, quality is the main concern here. I was thinking Zapco or McIntosh for amplification...that's about all I'm pretty sure about. Thanks for help..

With a budget of $600 what individual comps would you order from Madisound to fill out your system. Your size choices are limited to 7inches for the woofer, 4 inch mid and 1 inch for the tweeter.

  12. Posted this on Ca.com but wasn't getting to much helpful attention My right tweeter made an early exit. I replaced it with an Ifinity Reference I had laying around. Needless to say, the whole fronstage stinks. Looking to replace the tweeters with somewhat of an upgrade (if possible). Id say $50-$60 max would be the highest id like to spend on a pair of tweets that would pair well with the existing speakers. Someone mentioned the Blaupunkt Vc100's but I cannot find them anywhere. Thanks for the help

hey guys, the 15" mag will be coming before i know it and i haven't got anything to power it with. i dont mind running it at 1 or 4 ohm, i'm just looking for the best means of driving it for STRICTLY daily driving. money IS a concern but doesn't have to be a very big issue. i was originally looking at either the hifonics BX1500d or BX1000d, but have now realized that for a hundred bucks more, there is better. also, The JBL 1200.1 crossed my mind but was ruled out. I am running the stock alt and am going to do the BIG 3 fairly soon. now im looking into Phoenix Gold. The tantrum T1200.1 looks nice... but its so hard to decide. i want to get a 2 channel amp for my component…

So yeah, even with better amp grounding causing less voltage drop on my voltmeter, and enabling my other 1/0g power line, I was no better then before. No matter if I was revving the crap out of the engine, or if the battery charger was connected. Simply, the subs don't get any louder past a certain wattage, which I'm guesstimating to be in the 600 watt range, while my amp can put out about 1000 watts per sub. And just for jokes, I played some music with the drivers side windows down, loudest was AM Kidd's - Bay Wid it, pushing 146.1db. It sounds LOUD as heck inside the car, and now it's confirmed that it's loud outside the car too Interesting, I only got 142.5db with the…

I currently have 2 05' s12L7's running on a bx1605d in a 4cuft box tuned to 35hz. The box has the subs and port facing up. I have been looking at alot of different subs and decided to ask your opinion. I have about 5cuft for an enclosure after subs displacement and port area. What two 12"s or 15"s could I get that would sound better and get just as loud or louder preferably with the amount of space I have and my bx1605d? They will be in an 04 Toyota Tacoma Ext. cab. Thanx 4 any help.

I've had my Dcon 10 d4 for about 3 years and I love it. First was a ported box at 33hz. Very impressive, sounded like 2 12's but I wanted more sq so I built a sealed box. Still impressive volume, much better sq for my type of music (pop) but I kinda want more... If course lol. I would love to find a used sub to match this one, the older version. My amp is 1 ohm stable. I would just need to build a new box and I'd have the volume I want without sacrificing sq. I have looked but not had any luck yet. But is there another option with a ported box? Maybe tuned to a different frequency that would get more volume but better sq than before at 33hz? All t…
