Subwoofers / Speakers

Ok i dont have a lot of room in my doors and can only put a 5.5 in it maybe 6 with some mod. I was thinking of going active off a sundown sax 100.4 with Seas CA15RLY and not sure what tweet so what would go good with that. Or would it just be better to get a component set.

I am looking at these Treo SSx series components and am wanting to know if anyone has heard them or knows anything about them? I am curious as to how that dual tweeter design sounds and what the price of these things are. Any help is greatly appreciated.

so i have 2 15" mags powered by my Incriminator 20.1 @ 0.5 ohms. And it gets loud and sounds great but i would love to go ported but just can't fit a 7^3@30 htz box in my trunk. So what would be the smallest ported enclosure you would use for 2 15"s? i can fit 5 cf@30 no problem but much more than that and i'm hurtin'

Please give me your reasons. Will be running 2 12's of a 3000D the Bl will be loaded...not sure on the nightshades options though

So I currently have a 12" SSA Icon on a sundown sae 1200 in 2 cu ft enclosure tuned to 32 hz. I'm wanting to try something new and came up with the idea to recone it to an 18 and run it in a 4.5-5 cu ft sealed enclosure. I know it will have a flatter response but am I going to see a nice increase in output? I would assume because of the large cone area difference. I thought about trying a different sub but I like my icon and have always wanted to try a 18; and it'll be cheaper than purchasing a different sub. Will I be disappointed? Can anyone point out differences like pros and con's, lol. Any help is appreciated

ever since installing my comps. The sub's performance has taken a drastic turn for the worse. I set the gains correctly (w/ dmm) givin it around 600w, increased the bass volume a lil on the HU. When everything was all said and done, the subwoofer did not get as loud (my ears dint get used to the sub my rear view mirror did not shake at all like it used to) , and the sub did not play as low as it used to before installing my components. i played daz dillenger's "my system" and on the reallly low parts, my sub didnt play anything!! Anyone have experience with RE's SR/SRX lineup? Ready to order sub(s), but have come to a fork in the road: Multiple good subs vs one stronger sub of equal build quality. From what I've researched I could probably feed the SRX's 500w (<600w) a piece just fine; though they're 300rms rated. My thoughts: Wanted to stay under/around the $300 mark for the sub(s) and ~1kw of pow-a. Budget-"ish" build. Could have more cone area and better cooling w/ two subs on equal wattage. A single Q 18 seems loud and clear enough on it's own, from what I gather. I have no 150db targets or some ~ish not competing just knocking music. A few months ago I replaced all speakers in my car. I have 4" pioneer TS-A1072r speakers in the front doors and 6.5" Pioneer TS-A1673r on the rear deck. The rear speakers are fantastic but the front ones are extremely quite in comparison. The front speakers are also a lot quieter than the crappy stock speakers. At normal listening levels the majority of sound is coming from the back speakers. The front speakers only reach a reasonable level after turning the volume up more than halfway. Since my headunit only has one output (which i'm using from my sub amp) I cant adjust the fader without it affecting the sub. This was my first time installing speakers. On the rear speake…

he bought it used off ebay and on the cone it has the logo that says "RE", not the other logo. it pretty much looks just like this: so i'm THINKING it might be an SX but i'm not sure...is there any way to find out without having to send it in to RE and ask them?

I am getting very irritated with my PG Tantrum. I have not had it in long at all. And this thing is suppose to put out 1507 watts (by BS). Well my PPI PC2150 does alot better on my Magnum than the PG. I do not get it. I put my Mag in a 2 cube sealed box and still does not help it. I had the Tantrum turned about 3/4 the way up, the ssf on about 30, the crossover on about 80hz, and the bass boost barely up at all and my PPI out does this amp. what type of amp should i run to these speakers ?

just sold my 2 type r's(way too tired if seeing them EVERYWHERE). i need a new setup. I have a pg rsd1200.1 amp which runs a true 1200. i'm looking at a couple different subs in fi's line, but i'm totally open to new stuff. i want a setup that leans more towards spl. I listen to rap, but i dont just want sloppy loud. I drive an SUV so space is not a concern. dual 15's? dual 12's? or should i go with a single really powerful sub? (i would like to fill my trunk a lil bit. I like a nice display so i wouldnt mind even like 3 or 4 cheaper subs) Price range- 300-400 (400 being very most)

okay here is the deal I have the zcon 18" in a 7 cubic box tuned to 33hz and I am pushing this woofer with a SAZ3K. The gain is put to match the radio and I have it tuned accordingly. Every Time I turn my radio up to full tilt the MASSIVE BOOM COMES FROM THE BACK! I dont know what it is but it is pushing a ridiculous amount of AIR through out my car and is making all the cars within a 7 car radius very upset with me. But thats only where the problem starts. Hi, I had a question on whether I should have 2 FIBl 15s or one single bl15. I would be powering them with a Hifonics Bre1700. If I had a single bl It would get 1700rms. Would it be any louder with two bls but with 850rms each? The box is roughly 4 cubic feet. Any help is welcome.

What's going on. I'm looking for some advice. I have been looking at Elemental Designs 6000s comp and 9.2 amp. Does anyone have any experience with them or have any advice they want to give to me about them cause I have seen mixed feelings between forums. Thanks for the help.

What are some user reviews of the Digital Designs 2500 15"?

I have been looking on woofersetc for a couple of days now and just can't make up my mind on this. What I am planning on doing is putting some tweeters / midbrange speakers in the back of my suv. I want it to keep up with my BTL 18 when I have the back hatch open. Overall I want to spend around a thousand on everything. Everything that's needed is back there as far as power and space. I was really liking the image dynamic horns, but can't find a lot of technical info about them. I am thinking 4 - 6 midbass drivers and 4 tweeters. Picking up 2 d2 sp4 18s to put on my taramps 8000...with these having odd coils how much are we talkin the amp will put out on these things?

i read the sticky on this already, but can you use speaker wire instead? and how do you remove the push terminals and make the connection style of the pos and neg leads like the AQ or DD's?

Anyone have any expierence with this subwoofer? I've got the T4's but I got this for a temporary setup. Single 12" MOJO on a Sundown 1500d at 1/4 gain and 0/4 bass boost. Played it bout half volume for about 20 minutes and then it started to have a small tapping noise, like a I blew a tinsel lead and it's slapping against the cone. I have yet to inspect it, out of the box, but I will do that later today. Anyone maybe remotely have an idea? I wasn't pushing it but 1/4 gain, lol... It sounds pretty good for a single 12". So far I'm not impressed though, with the tapping noise, but I am impressed with the loudness of it. It gets loud with almost no gain, and no bass boost. …
