I just installed my maw-15's. And they sound great. But I know alot of you say i must break them in. How long will that take? And how would you recommend breaking em in? I usually just play at half volume, but once in a while turn it up about max then turn it down after a few seconds. I do this for about a week and then start giving the sub alot of power constantly. I get carried away sometimes and just want to give the subs max power. I have a problem lol. will giving it a good amount of power once in a while, damage the future performance of the sub? Any tips on breaking in? And is the after math after breaking them in really that dramatic? And anyone wondering if they …

Im just tryin to see how loud decibels are from 120, 130,140, and 150. I think a while ago someone told me that 130db's was like gettin hit in the chest and its very hard to breathe at 150. Is this true? Can someone give me examples of each range of decibels.

OK so i am going to put a 18" btl in the rear deck of my 96 impala ss and was wondering how many 6" aero tube would enough for one 18". And how many for two 18" btl's i plan to put both in the rear deck and trying to see if i have enough area. any help would be great

OK I made a new box (sealed) but I dont know how many cu.ft net it is? the box it the inside is 12"D 27.1/2"H 23"W with a driver displacement of 0.25 how many net cu.ft is it ????? help!?!?!

i am ordering 2 15 incriminator audio lethal injections my amp is a T1500-1BD my max box specs are 40 wide x 17 tall x 25 deep if i build a box to those specs it will be 8.11552 cubes without port or sub displacement. is that big enough and im going with slot ports probably 7 x 15.5 is that enougn port area

I have a really big van. Plenty of space for a huge ported box, so i should be able to underpower the subs a little. I'm hoping a bunch of MJs will be louder than the (4) 15" FI SSDs i have now. A pair of saz-1500 strapped were tested to do 3740 watts at 12.8 volts. A single MJ-18 is rated 600 watts rms (6) 8 ohm MJs could be wired to 1.34 ohms (8) 8 ohm MJs could be wired to 1 ohm Can I do more in a huge ported box or should i just keep my SSDs?

Ok, guys I have a ported enclosure with a 13W7, It hasn't been braced... How much more spl do you think I could gain if I braced it? I'm using 3/4" MDF and I'm driving it with a JBL GTO 14001.

Well something came to mind after looking at the SI's box recomendations. I am a SQ guy so the 1.5 cu ft box sealed sounds best to me. At 1.5 cu ft, that is almost 1/3rd of the size of the box that is currently in my car! I have a 4.4 cu ft box for a single MTX sub now. Anyway, The system I am replacing is the first single sub stereo I ever made. Needless to say, I only bought 1 SI Mag12" to replace it. However I am wondering now, should I consider a second sub? I will be running a US Amps USA-300x Rated at 900 watts at 4 Ohms at 12 Volts. Can this amp power 2 of these is some way? This dual 2 ohm voice coil stuff is kinda new to me. my buddy want's to trade me a used 08 kicker l7 15" for a hifonics 08 bruts 2000 it says it does 2000 rms on the internet. so is this true or does it max out around 2000 watts? and if it had the right install, extra batteries,HO alternator, and 0 guage!!.....had to throw that in there cause i know that would be what makes a difference.

I've got a 2000 Dodge Dakota Club Cab. I was wondering if anyone has any idea how much air space I can get under the rear seats? I don't have a problem ripping out the jack holder, storage tray, etc, but I really don't want to do any kind of modifications such as lifting the seats and such. I did find a Q-Logic enclosure for a single 8" sub that is .35 cubic feet. I know that MTX makes Thunderforms (or whatever they are called now) that hold 2 10's, but I'm having trouble finding what kind of airspace they run. These were just for references. right now i have a mag 15 in 3.7@27 hz box off 1000 rms and i'm getting a kicker zx1500.1.I was wondering if 2 15's getting 1500 rms in a sealed box(2.5 per driver) will be a lot louder? noticeably? just thinking about a new set up since i have a kicker zx1500.1 coming.But if i won't notice much difference i may just sell the kicker amp.

Hey All, Trying to figure out how I want to setup my daily driver and would like some input from some experts (as I am not 1). I have 2 12" XCON D1's and 2 Orion 2500d's. The Plan: Wire each XCON in parallel to provide a .5 ohm load The 2500d's are not strappable but they should be stable at .5 with my electrical So the thing is, I did some testing on 1 of my 2500d's and was getting approximately 2200 rms on stock electrical in my friends truck (which was probably only putting out around 12V or so). I know there is probably no definitive answer, but I wanted to know where to start. I decided on a sealed box for new Mag 15 on the way to me. I figured 2.6 cubes and 2.45 after displacement. I want to know how many pounds to start with. I am looking for about the same output as my ported 12, with a flatter response. I know the site recommends 2.3. Is my box too big? Os there a way to get a little more output from a sealed box without losing a whole lot of SQ. This is my first sealed that I have had in this car. It will be getting around 1100 watts. I listen to about everything.

Well, i recently traded my MX for a mag d2 12" and i was wondering if it could take an saz 1500d daily with no problems? I also had a question about if one mag is gonna be enough. I had two mx's and they were too powerful, but it would be nice to have sime headroom sometime. I was just wonderin what you guys think. thanks

just kidding. I am just anxious to see SI back up and running. Ever since SI was robbed I have turned alot of friends onto the Mag. They keep asking me when will more be for sale. Its amazing how people will talk crap about your sub cause its not down at the local sound shop then gauk at it after hearing it and try to buy it from you. Any recent info on how things are coming for SI? sure hope Nick and them don't abandon the SI 8" midbass. I have been holding out.

So I ordered 2 18" FI BTL's and I'm trying to figure out exactly how much power these subs can hold.They say that their rated at 2000RMS but I have heard people putting 3000 on them no problem.The subs will be fully loaded and I was thinking about putting 1 Sundown 3500 on each sub.Is that too much?
