What do you guys think I should use for a single good 4x6 in the dash I would use peerless but they don

hi im looking into getting fi subs but i dont know which one can anybody help... i am going to get 2 12s of which ever one i decide on getting im going ported @ 32hz... this system is going into a honda civic trunk.... but the subs i was looking at was the FI Q series and the FI SSD series but i dont know which to choose i am going to get the BP power to which ever one but the thng is i want 2 subs that wil hit hard and that have good sound quality so i guesss im just looking for ""SQL""..... can anybody help me on some good componets aswell im going to buy a a Hifonics mono 2000 watt amp... so i can give 1000w to each sub thanks

Well ive decided to take the TC9 and recoen it to an 18. im hopping to get the hook up and learn how to recone speakers the right way. as for the e12a coen and coil. Would it be possible for me to remove the surround and spider all surgery like and put a new on on and sell it? i know putting a new surround on a cone is easy, spiders, however, i dont know. Ideas?

I've been trying to figure out what to do with my 18 XXX. I finally decided on a 4-5 cube sealed box, depending on how large an area I can fit in my trunk, but the 4-5 cubes are the definite range. I was going to go just sealed, but love low end & was wondering if I could do passive radiators w/ the xxx. Corey don't kill me for makin this post, just figured it'd help! By the way, if any of you end up not liking me one bit, blame Corey A., he's the one who told me to come here. Anyway, thanks for any help or any insight in this idea.

Hello again. O.K. I`m a DD user who`s about to jump ship. I have 4x PowerBass XA-3000D amps. Use to compete in dB drag Street "C" Anyway. I`m fed up now cos all I can do is turn up at a show, BURP & that`s it, battery charging again. So I`m ripping out my boot install & now want to have a No-Wall install using 4x S.I. Magnum 15" in a ported box tuned to 27Hz or so. I want some STREETBASS again A few questions though. Can the Magnums take a PowerBass amp each? just like the title.. would a Fi SSD 15 get louder than the DC Lvl 2 15?..i seen the SSD specs and it says 800rms...specs on the Lvl 2 is 300rms 600 peak..just by looking at the specs im thinking the SSD would DEFF be louder than the LVL 2..but just wana make sure and get more responses from you guys and people that have had experience on FI or DC...NEVER ran FI before and thinking on trading my DC for the SSD and run FI!

right now iv got a ported box that is 2.5 cuft after all displacements tuned to 33hz that im using with my 12" fi bl. do you guys think it would work good with a 12" fi btl if i were to upgrade so i dont have to buy another box. have anyone had any experiece with a btl 12" in a 2.5 cuft box? the site shows the same cutout dimentions and the same rec cuft. So what do you guys think of this desision.

I'm trying to decide if I should go with (2) 15" BTL's or (2) 18" BTL's? Its only about $60 more to go with both 18's over the 15's but i would be using the same rms going to them. what size sub would sound better/louder being they both are getting the same amount of power/rms? i wanted to mount another set of tweeters in my door just to even out my h/u as i have my mids in the rear running off the rear outputs .... i was looking for a pair of tweeters under $100 ... they are running off the h/u so they will not be seeing over 20 rms ... i dont know if it makes a difference but all the tweeters up front are silk dome ... should the pair i am looking for be silk dome? ... also they need to not stick out so much as when i had boomer mcloud cut a hole for the door they cut it so close the the tweeter hits when the door closes ... it dosent tend to be a problem if the tweeter does not protrude to much and has some form of protective grille over it .…

OK, I just got rid of my last setup and looking to start new. I have $1000.00 to work with for subs and amp(s). It seems like I need to build a new box for the BMW cabrio install I fixed. The car currently has a shitty ported box, which fires towards the back in a "tub" formed by a cosmetic fiberglass panel. Port fires to the front, into the ski port. Sub orientation has to stay as it is now, I don't want to build that cosmetic fiberglass panel. The main goal is to have a loud'ish sounding setup when the hardtop is off, trunk open and closed and something that can put up a half-decent score with the hardtop on. It will be going into a 2000 dokota ext.cab and am running the AQ2200 in either a 2.5 cb.ft net for the 12" or 3.75 cb.ft net for the 15". I was woundering which would play the low end with more authority. The reason for my asking is for a 15" enclosure, the enclosure will take up most all of the cab space under the glass (no wall). I need a recone on a 12" Audiobahn aw1206t, and I have now idea on how to go about getting this done. From what I've heard, Audiobahn has gone out of out of business. So does anyone know what I need to do about getting this recone done? Or should I just trash it and buy a new sub?

I need some help I just bought a 1500d and would like to run it at 1ohm but I only want 1 sub. 1 12 or 15 that I can run sealed that can take 1500wrms. I still want a good sounding sub. (<- Saves me some hatch space for stuff) I did see that the DC site says 5.5 cf net for the 18's, but im not sure how to determine how much port i would need for it. My goal is for Daily with good SPL. Really i want it be loud lol. I tune at 40hz because it gives me MY perfect medium of daily and SPL(Thats just me) for the occasional comp.
