Hey I was wondering where and how can i get a recone in Australia for my IXL 12", as i blew it up a couple of days ago?? do you guys stock the IXL v.1 parts and do i have to send it to you guys to recone it, or because i actually bought it from Affordable Drivers (Distributor In Aus) can i send it to them to recone it if they have the parts?? or if they dont have the parts and you guys do, can you send the parts to them and they can recone it? or even can Digital Designs recone it for me with the right parts provided by either you guys or Affordable Drivers because Digital Designs are pretty major in Aus and they do recones here for their drivers so they'd know how to fix…

I have existing mid-bass speakers in my car's front doors and I want to reuse the space without modifying the doors. The existing speakers are 160mm units. I doubt I could modify my doors and have a result that looks acceptable. The MLI-65s will almost fit. The depth is tight but will work. The problem is that the mounting flange is too large for the door panel. If I use the MLI-65 I will need to cut 5mm off of one side of the speaker's mounting flange to provide enough clearance to mount the door panel. It looks like there is a bit more than 6mm of flange width where the mounting holes are drilled through the flange. Does anyone have any advice or experience to sha…

hi guys, i would like to ask for some options to look at. need some inputs here, what sub would be good for a .5 - .6 enclosure / 200-500rms / decent lows / good SQ, sounds good even for metal, rap, hiphop, etc. ( so something with a little SPL on it)? so far only things i see are PG RSDc 10", RE SR 10", and RE REx 10" do i have any other options on this? good price would be around $200 and highs on $300 for a pair. so $100 - $150 each...

I am looking to buy a new component set for my Jeep. I have a Sundown Audio 125.2 amp and i want to do a passive crossover setup. I want them to be loud but sound good as well, I am also selling my new set of CDT speakers, if anyone wants more info on the set I'm selling let me know. I am basically looking to spend $150-$250, if anyone has any recommendations please let me know. Someone told me to buy these: http://www.woofersetc.com/p2571/MM6--Polk-Audio-65"-Momo-Competition-Component-Set.htm I'm wondering if anyone has used them or has a review on these

which of these two woofers will provide the best sq and the best spl? i want something that gets loud yet retains nice sq in a ported enclosure. i have an 03 civic and was going to have it front facing and have the seats down quite a bit but i dont know if that would be better than rear facing. i listen to mostly rap but occasionally rock. im going to power either one with an audioque 2200d. the rd will probably have the flat wind option so it will be able to handle the power. all opinions are welcome, thanks

I just installed a set of image dynamics x69. I am running them full range right now with the high pass set at 60hz. The 3sixty.2 hasn't even been tuned yet. I am not even bridging the sax 50.4 yet. For some reason I am getting a scratching noise on some of the mid-high frequencies (ex:someone singing a higher octave). I was not playing these loud at all. In fact we were just testing them to make sure sound came out. Is this because the speaker was not meant to play higher frequencies? When I integrate my horn tweeters should I be fine or is there a possibility that something is wrong with either the install or the product itself? Any input would be great. Thanks!

Hi, I'm building a box for a 15" BTL. My concern isn't neccesarily the box, but more technical things rather. For example I would like to know how much wattage/rms I can pull from having only one of the 15's. What would be the best way to eliminate distortion when running the speaker? I plan on running a xover so besides that I need help. I'm selling most of my old handmedown stuff and starting fresh. So, Since I don't have anything put together yet, I would like to have some suggestions on the best setup for having only one of these. It's going into the back of my Jeep Cherokee 92'. I have a few box designs up and if I can xfer them to my computer I will post them as soo…

OK, I just got rid of my last setup and looking to start new. I have $1000.00 to work with for subs and amp(s). I already have an upgraded electrical system (Stock Battery, Kinetik HC 2000, 230 amp HO alt. and the Big 3 done with 0 gauge). Now, am looking at 4 different subs and still up in the air on amps. I have 8 cb.ft to work b4 any displacement. So am thinking of running two 12" ported or 2 15" ported that doesn't need a lot of space to operate. For subs, am wanting a LOW END MONSTER with ok high end. Am currently looking at the DC lvl 4 or XL (Depending on price and amp), IA Death Row, FI BL, or the AQ HDC3 subs, but am still open to suggestions. As for amps, i w…

okay, i have gotten myself confused here, need some help fellars. oh, and only moderate flamming of the equipment here, it is not mine! lol American Legacy LA-2278 amplifier, 2 ohm stable @ 450 watts....... Three(3) Kicker CompVR 12"s , I believe they are 2 ohm DVC., 400 W.RMS...... If they are indeed 2 ohm. DVC., I will wire them parallel / series, so a 3 ohm. load on the amp..... if for some reason we find that they are 4 ohm. DVC., then the wiring will be series / parallel , which is a 2.67 ohm. load. ........ the question is, how many watts will the subs be seeing? I am assuming that there is a good chance that the amp will not do it's true rated power, but for all g…

  16. Posted this on Ca.com but wasn't getting to much helpful attention My right tweeter made an early exit. I replaced it with an Ifinity Reference I had laying around. Needless to say, the whole fronstage stinks. Looking to replace the tweeters with somewhat of an upgrade (if possible). Id say $50-$60 max would be the highest id like to spend on a pair of tweets that would pair well with the existing speakers. Someone mentioned the Blaupunkt Vc100's but I cannot find them anywhere. Thanks for the help

So I have a 2007 crew cab silverado which is limited to what I can put under the seat Would you guys go with 3 8" SA-8s or 1 12" Fi BL with all upgrades in a ported box? I listen to rock, country and some alternative. I like hard hitting bass with the ability to get a deep rumble I see the SA-8s have a pretty good xmax compared to most 8s so will this allow it to hit deeper than most other 8s? Need to know today because of the sale going on on the SA-8s

Ok what's the deal with separate chambers for running more than one sub? How crucial is it really? I really want to end up with 2 15's in my Toyota Yaris sedan. Biggest box I can get in there is 32w x 16h x 26d (outside dim.). If the subs are exactly the same and amps are gain matched it shouldn't be that bad right? I know it's not ideal, but I really want the 2 15's.

After doing a little reaserch and a unexpected blow to my savings, I think that I am going to go with a set of Alpine type-R components in my mercury sable. a store i went to was askin 250 for the set not including install or anything, I found them online for about 150, and i can do the install myself. my question is,"are these speakers good enough to run a front stage setup?" I would rather not have any rear speakers in the back deck, alowing my subs to breath into the cabin, but im not sure if the alpine components,(powered about 60 watts RMS into each,) can hold thier own... any thoughts?
