What would you guys recommend for a Beefy 10 inch woofer? Its gunna be run in a standard/regular cab truck and run by a sae-1000. I was thinking a BL 10 or an icon 10 but im not sure. I just want loud, shaking, low bass. Any suggestions?

Hey guys, so my girlfriends brother has a trans am and is trying to find a sub to go in it. the problem is he doesn't want to lose the t-top space in the back which means no box for a sub. In his car there is a board that seals off the hole where the sub is sitting. When the trunk is shut, it's sealed off. Anyways my question is what's a good sub to use for a set up like this? (10in under $200) (not his trunk, just pic for reference) Thank you.

Hey everyone, I should be getting my 12" D2 soon and I wanted to ask a couple questions about boxes and powering it. I'm looking for more SQ than SPL, clean loud low-end thump is what im looking for Now as far as power is concerned I can push it with either a JBL1200.1 or a Orion 2500. I was thinking 2^3 sealed pumping it with the Orion OR 3^3 ported tuned to ~25hz pushed by the JBL. Anyone have any opinions on the subject? I have a feeling I'm gonna need to buy another D2 to get what I'm looking for. TIA

After trying to work out a place to fit my Mpyre 65Ms in my Tercel wagon, I realized it wasn't going to happen. I sold them and bought a new pair of Hertz Space 6 mids. The Hertz are 2" shallower 2" than the Mpyres, which will allow me to build some kick pods for them. Is anybody here running the Space 6 in kicks? How do they sound? The only constant in my system over the last year are my DLS R4 comps. I bought them last year for a steal. The 4"s are mounted in the stock under dash locations in the Toyota, with the tweeters in the outboard AC vents. So I am pretty set on putting 4-12s in my malibu. I have been looking into the AQ HDC3 12s and they look beast as well as the AA Havoc 12s. What I'm looking for with this thread is what sub do you guys think I should go with? I can put each sub in a box about 2-2.5 cubes each, and I will be running a Sundown 2000d on each pair so roughly 1000-1250 watts each sub. The thing with the 4-12 setup is the space, I have 42w, 34 length, and 12-15 Height. At first I was thinking subs up port back would be the best bcz I don't know how I could fit subs back port back with only 42 inches of room? SO yea any ideas on subs and a box design would be great

Hey whats going on. had a question since fi audio came out with there new version n2. is there a need for a double 1" mdf baffle like there spec cut-sheets say. since the n2 is less weight?

alright, the system in my fiances car is just a RF punch P2 in a ported box ( I built it a while ago, I think its something in the neighborhood of 2.5 ft^3 tuned to ~30HZ???) and it is powered by a RF 300.1 amp. the sub is a 4 ohm sub though, and the system is decent, but I am thinking of selling the P2 on ebay or something and get a different sub for around 60-70 bucks that delivers a 2 ohm load to get the most out of the amp. heres the 5 I am looking at now, and the prices. Hello, I'm in the process of redoing/upgrading my subwoofer setup, and I need some help pertaining to the amount of subs and box type. I have a Sundown SAZ-1500d amplifier, 0 gauge wiring to it, and the big 3 upgraded. I am being limited by space - I'm working with an area approximately 30" wide x 18" deep x 14.5" tall. So, the way I see it I have two options - #1 - sealed box with (2) Fi SSD 12's w/ copper coils, or #2- a ported box ~2.25 cubes, tuned at 32hz, with a Fi Q 12. If it were possible, I would build a ported box to suit the (2) Fi SSD 12's, but I just don't think I have adequate room right now. My questions are: 1.) which setup will sound better overall? 2.…

I have narrowed my selection down to the dayton rss woofers and either the Fi x10 or dcon 10. I would just like to know what the differances between the Fi and x would be? I know the Fi is rated a little higher power handling but that is really not important to me. I have heard the dcon is a pretty good SQ driver, is the X also? I'm not concerned with which will be louder, because I think these two 10's would be pretty close. Also would like to know if they would play up to around 80hz or so without rolling off real quickly. Anyone with any insight to these two woofers your comments would be appreciated. Tony Nelson

i was checkin out these subs and saw that the 10" DC lv.3. Whats it go for? and will it work pretty good in a long wedge shaped box w/ 3/4" mdf at .78 cu. ft in a sealed box? 600/1200 seams to be wat i need. i figured i can only get one cuz im limited on space and wanted a good sized box for a good output. whats the excusion like? thanks.

My 12" icon took some damage when I had my backpack in the trunk and it punctured a hole in the dust cap. The hole is small and I can't tell any auditory differences in the subs performance so is it worth repairing?
