Incriminator Audio Death Row or Fi Q. Looking for powerful lows, solid high end. Basically an all around sub that dominates the low end. Planning on running 2 12"s ported? Thanks for the input.

Ok, so I already have two 12" Alpine Type R's. I am deciding that it is about time to finally upgrade the sound system. These are the three plans I am coming up with: 1) Buy two more Type R's and another amp, and run four twelves. 2) Sell the R's and the amp and buy two more powerful 12's and a new amp. 3) Sell the R's and the amp and buy two 15's and a new amp. This is all in a 1993 Range Rover LWB.

All of these would be powered off a Sundown SAZ-2000d in 4.5 cubes tuned to 33hz. Was just curious about this because I'd like to eventually get an SUV and would like to do one of these setups. I know this is a matter of opinion, but I'd like to see how many opinions lead more towards what out of curiousity. RE Audio MX 15 DC Level 4XL 15 SSA Xcon 15

Hi Guys, I am currently running a Crunch GP12D4 running off a Hifonics Titan TXi 6006 (budget setup in a small UK car) but I'm not sure what the ideal box would be? I'm going for an SQ setup but I do like my bass The manufacture reccomend 1cu ft in a sealed box & 1.25 cu ft in a ported box? What would you guys recommend? Also what would be the best way to wire up my sub to give the best sound? Sorry for all the noobie questions but there isnt as much online info in the UK Thank's all!

Hey, everyone. On www.sonicelectronix.com, i have found a pair of Alpine Type-X reference series component speakers that, including dynomat and baffles, will run me about 200 dollars out the door. These speakers are running 300 dollars for just the speakers on Alpine's site. The only problem is there is no shops around that have these speakers available to listen to.... What are your opinions on this speaker and would you have any other recomendations (perferably costing less money?). At the moment i am running stock 5X7's in both the doors and the rear deck so anything will be an improvement. I want something with a high quality sound and i've heard go…

I can't speak for the reliability of the AQ sub yet, as I just got one of them in. But I can say that you definitely get your moneys worth with the HDC3 series. I was surprised when there was a box at the door since I haven't even received notification that one of my subs shipped, but man was I happy and amazed when I opened the box. I ordered a pair of HDC310's for a build of mine and figured they would be a nice little subs for a small build. But now I'm considering trying these out in my SUV. This thing is HUGE. I have never liked small subs until now. BL 12 VS AQ HDC310

  13. Alright, the other day, just messing around with my subs(SWS-1023D's in a "folded horn" box), i decided to run one of them reversed with the other one regular. also in my adventures, i placed them in the far back of my trunk facing(subs and port) towards the cab. I was suprised when i cranked the music and heard not only an increase in SPl but also a better SQ . Now being the Noob that I am, im curious to why this resulted like it did. i tried searching other forums but failed to come up with any useful information. and if it is a simple explination, why wasnt it set up like this when i had installed? Thanks for any and all comments

So I'm getting a Sundown SAZ-1500D AMP from a member on here, when I stumbled upon a Sundown Nightshade 15" D2 for a really good deal, I know nothing about the sub. The car will be a daily driver and I was originally going with a RE Audio SXX 15" D2, so is the sundown a better sub? Pro's and Con's of both?

BACKGROUND: I currently drive a '93 Saturn SW2, (which I will probably need to replace soon, but more on that later), and use a single 10" sub, (Cerwin Vega VMAX: 500 watts RMS), in a ported enclosure tuned to 35ish Hz powered by a 500 watt RMS (at 2 ohms) amp, (don't ask what brand, its embarrassing). After the answers I recieved to a question I asked in another forum, I have decided to purchase a Fi BL. I want my setup to have great SQ and plenty of volume. Question #1: Is the 18 inch sub going to be amazingly louder than the 15 and what options would be best to improve the SQ and volume of eithersub? Question #2: If I am unable to upgrade my amplifier immediately, (bud…

In the new year, I plan on picking up 12" IXL's and powering them off an Earthquake PHD3 (3000rms @ 1 ohm). This will all be going into a trunk setup, which will be my 139.9 bassrace machine for next season. My question is, will the IXL's be able to take the power daily?

So to start things off I have a 2000 Silverado ext. Cab. And would like to get away from the Coaxials I have now and put in two sets of Components. My plans are to put both sets of drivers in each one of the doors, two tweeters in the dash, and two tweeters in the back columns. I Personally am a Fan of Pioneer Premiers line of products when it comes to speakers. and this is what im looking to do. Front 6 3/4 Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS 50w rms 200max Back 5 1/4 Pioneer Premier TS-C520PRS 30w rms 150max For the most part I will be fading the music to the front speakers, the reason i am getting the back is for a little bit of a rear fill, and because I often have people in t…

I have to decided to just go with a front stage in my car instead of a set of components for the front and the rear. I am thinking of a 3 way because I have my subs crossed at 60 Hz and want a little more midbass. I am going for an SQ setup and listen to everything, but I generally like heavier midbass, warm midrange, and softer highs. I have a 2004 Tahoe with an Alpine IVA-W505 up front with a Audiocontrol DQXS for when I can run active. I have eDead 120 and SS Damplifier Pro for damping and the subs are 4 ED 13Av.2s ported, tuned to 32 Hz, on an USAmps Ax3200de. The electrical is a 300 Amp Alt., 0 AWG, RF 10 Farad Cap, and 4 Deka Intimidators. I plan on using a Zap…

Hey Everyone. I bought these 8 Inch Peerless SLS speakers a year ago to put in my Neon. I bought them because I was told if I could fit an 8 inch woofer in my door, there was absolutely no reason to go with a 6.5 inch woofer. Well I recently bought a used 2005 Subaru Forester and I can’t figure out any way at all to install my 8 inch Peerless woofers. My question is, would I really loose a lot of the punchy bass that I love if I go down to a 6.5 inch woofer in my doors? My doors will be sealed and deadened. I have 4 inch peerless midranges and seas tweeters that I’m hoping to install in some custom kickpanels. They’ll be running off an alpine H701 for a 3way active w…

I've heard a few subs make a funky sound when more power is applied to them that just doesn't sound like the bass the artist put in the song. On low volumes its fine. On higher volumes It sounds like the sub is puking. I hate that sound and i turn the bass down to when its gone. I've heard it mostly on punchy bass, long drawn out bass is usually fine. What causes this, is it when a sub exceeds its xmax or is that overrated in knowing what the sub sounds like as well? That's my only guess. I haven't heard lots of different subs but all the ones i heard did it.

I'd like to start this post off by apologizing for all the crazy posts about which sub to pick and what to do with it. Even if you don't believe me (frankly, I have a hard time believing myself) I think I've decided I'll start off with 2 10" kicker cvts. If I don't like them, they're cheap enough that I could deal until I decide on an upgrade. My real question is though, if I was to do two 10's ported, at as close to 2 cu ft. after displacement, what should I tune at? I've heard people say that kickers like to be tuned to the mid 40's, but I like lows a lot. Do you think that 36-37hz would hit low enough for me? I'm not going for pipe organ lows or anything, just rap lows…
