I saw on CL with a guy with only a dented in dust cap for $75. He said that's all that's wrong. It's a first version icon. I would love to have it. Can I get a new dust cap for it?

Hey guys, New here, but looking to complete my sound system. I'm pretty set on doing Hybrid Audio Clarus components for the doors up front with 150W on them. I'm debating on the rear fill, so may just leave that alone for now. So with that said, I'm trying to match that setup up front and will be using a Pioneer 4200NEX HU. where do 2) 15inch SSA Icon 15D2 subs perform best? tuning and airspace wise.

Which pair of subs would be better choice with a sundown saz 1500d in my case... 2 12" SSA Icons or 2 Sundown SA-12's.. I see all these weird specs for a sub and I dont know what half of them mean. Is there a site that someone can link me to so I can read up on it? Specs Im talking about are below. Here is my is where i am at. I am going to get 2 JL 500/1. I am looking at 2 ebay auctions. I don't know if ii should get the 12in Image dynamics dual 4ohm or a RE audio 12in SX dual 2 ohm? I am looking for big base but still keep a good amount of SQ. Also i don't know which would be better for me 2 or 4 ohm. I have read lots of good things about RE audio on this forum ,but Image dynamics doesn't seem like a bad choice. I am going to build a sealed box if that makes a difference.

anyone know what 3 15" ID SPL's are worth? condition... function.. 2 work flawlessly, one needs reconed. when u flip it, u can hear something move internally..former, pole piece, something is dislodged. cosmetically... 1 of the working ones is in excellent shape 1 of the working ones is in decent shape, missing part of the cardboard outer gasket and there is a small tear (less then 1/2") in the surround. 1 that needs reconed is missing part of the outer carboard gasket all three stamped steel baskets, painted black. all three have double stacked magnets, the two that work have chrome topplates, the one that needs reconed has a black topplate. all are dual 2. lemme know..…

I am currently running active with a set of ID XS65 in the stock door location of my '02 Tahoe on a Zapco ST-4X. While it sounds ok, it is not loud enough for me. I have done zero deadening to the doors thus far, though I did that on purpose so I could hear the difference for myself when I follow the recommendations of Don(SDS) for doing up the doors. I find myself having to dial back the mids to balance things out anyway, which seems odd to me considering the tweeters have a higher sensitivity and are receiving the same power. Whatsup everybody... I've recently decided to upgrade from my 12" mag to a 15 Now i'm tryin to figure out the ideal box size, etc for my setup. Its goin into an '02 Eclipse Hatch powered by a Hifonics BX1500d. I'm lookin to do ported, but space is a tad limited. well i finally fixed all the things on my truck that need to be fixed (exceptfor the a/c which is being a pain) and im finally about to get off of doctors leave from my surgery and ive found a new, much better paying job, now im planning on finally installing a system! ive got boston pro60's for the front. im was thinkin, maybe a set of those 6x9 tang band "subs" for the rear, but when i eventually put in my 12" xxx, i probably wouldnt even be able to tell the tang bands are there. should i do coaxial's in the rear? whats a decent set of 6x9s if so?

I'm trying to figure out what to get for a good sound system in my Escalade. I was thinking about getting 2 12inch cv stroker's,(any opinion on these). for the doors I was thinking about a boston acoustics components 6 1/2's not sure about a deck, back door speakers, and amps for speakers and the subwoofers. Well my GF's mom is getting her tax check soon which measn im going to be planning their systems soon. Her moms system is pretty cut and dry. Either cheaper ocmponets up fron in pods and coax's in the rear or coax's all aroudn and an RL-I 8 or 10 for the sub. So I just ordered a couple IDMAX 12's. I had heard your not supposed to give them the whole 1000rms each. So my question is how much do the like? Im thinking of throwing them on a Sundown SAZ 1500 @1ohm. Im guessing about 750rms a piece. Would that be pushing it or should I be fine? Also I was wondering if anyone here has experience with these subs and how do you like them? Have you hit good term lab numbers with them? I know they are SQ subs but i know they can get loud too.

think ive finally got my system planned out should have money to buy within the next few months, here it is idctx65cs cadence fxa-4060 200.2 bridged cadence fxa-1700 700.1 which sub would give me the best blend of sq and output off of 700w?

im running two idq12"s svc 2ohm sealed(1.8 cubic) powered by one xtant 1000/1. the subs are very responsive but tend to lack low end. i listen to mainly metal-tool,korn,slayer. some of their stuff has low thump that my subs are not picking up. these subs are in the back of S-10 ext. cab-the box sealed has the subs facing up toward the roof. i dont have room to run booth subs ported-any other types of box designs or eq settings i should consider? polyfill? i used to run 2 10" mtx 8000 in a downfire box for that truck and i got more lowend and louder bass from that set-up than my current system
