I smell it but my sub is still playing fine I'm just curious if it fucked my sub up at all? I got the cooling options on the btl so I should fine if I let it cool down for a few minutes?

well i was playing some new tracks and then i opened my trunk and felt weird smell from woofer, it's playing great but there is some kind a smell, like glue is burning or something, and dust cap gets a little bit warm, am i pushing it too far ? I got 15" JBL rated 350W RMS running it @ 4ohms 500W RMS

i have a MA Audio hk15x2 and i was wondering if i am able to invert it. and if i do that i have to invert the polarity right?

I've been meaning to ask anyone on here if they can help me out with a noise problem with my speakers... It doesn't matter what speakers are hooked up to my amp, they start thumping rapidly when I have the engine off in my car and the key is in accessory. I turn up the volume from my head unit just to get some bass going and then when I reach a certain volume my speakers start thumping rapidly and it's not the music that's bumping because I'll play a slow song and then when I turn up the volume at a certain level where my speakers don't like it, they go crazy. I did some searching all over the net and here and really didn't see anything much on MB Quart stuff. I am checking out components to pair with a sundown amp in the future and MB Quart kinda caught my eye. I know they were good in the past when they werent owned by maxxonics and have heard mixed reviews since their merge. I am kinda wishy washy with what i actually wind up doing but i am looking for comps for the front to replace the ones i have no, 6.5's, my rear doors have midbass which i want to replace with a second set of comps and my rear deck is compose of 2 6x9's which i want to swap out for 2 midbass addons. Ok so i was looking for a couple of 10 inch subs that don't cost too much but still can do the job with no problems. 500w RMS each and good sound plus some good excursion. Then i find this sub. Now i know Phoenix Gold is not the best out there but these things look pretty solid. Im getting 2 12 BL subs and the saz 1500d sundown. Now i may just be getting just one sub for now cause of some money issues but wil end up getting another 12, can i hook up just one sub for now to the saz 1500d amp or no? I do not know shit about this stuff. thanks

Hello, and thanks in advance for your answers or comments! . ok. i have an older style fi btl 18 fully loaded. i blew it. i have it taken apart and the ring where the foam lip is located is completely clean. 1st question. 1. what is the best method to remove the leftovers from where the spiders were. ( about 1/4 inch of spider and alot of glue) i tried to use a dremel tool but it made bad odors that i didnt think would be good to breath in. i also tried a metal brush in my drill "was going VERY slow" and a knife didnt work well either 2. what type of glue do you use when you recone and is it something i can pick up at any hardware store? 3. is this something not to har…

alright, system consists of pioneer premier DEH-600UB, hifonics BXi1208D pushing 3 ppi PCX102's in 3.5 cubes at 35Hz (when I build the box, lol), no rear speakers I am going to get a small 2ch amp for the front speakers and disable the internal amp in the HU, but if I buy comps, the doors will not be deadened right away, and will probably only be some ~75 dollar comps like some alpine type s, phoenix gold, etc... and the amp will only be giving them anywhere from 60-100 watts per channel at 4 ohms. coax's would be mounted in doors as would the midbass and tweets would go on the door panels right by the dash. should I just get coax's and amp them right away? get comps an…

hey guys i need some ideas i was going to run an 18in solo x in about 9cub box tuned to 35hz on a daily run and ive heard storys that the solo x cant really deal with daily pounding so i need some ideas on someother subs that will put me in the same range in output as the solo x and just a little bit better SQ then what the kicker puts out any ideas??

i recently bought 2 fi ssd 10's 1ohm DVC. can i wire these to 1 ohm?? ive done some research and have seen places say yes and some say no. i decided to come to the guys who have the knowledge! Thanks Matt Cusack

my subs where working fine befor i remove them i put them all back and i got a horrid noise comeing from the back. its late to night so i really couldent look at them. but it sounds like metal radlling but not exatly do subs make that noise. it all most sounds like there blown but still pound. idk its late got my car all back to geather lets hope all is good and its just something lose right....
