curious what pair of 15" sub woofers would thrive in a box that is about 7.5 cubes and tuned real low.....about 25hz..

My subs chirp when my car is started but not when it is off but the head unit is on and i cannot figure out what it is. I checked the ground and that is good. Also, my power is good. Any ideas what it might be?

All of these would be powered off a Sundown SAZ-2000d in 4.5 cubes tuned to 33hz. Was just curious about this because I'd like to eventually get an SUV and would like to do one of these setups. Hello guys new here and I am looking to replace my JL 12W7 with a 15" Mag. I am running the 12W7 with a JL 1000/1 in a tuned enclosure(custom build to 32Hz). I am looking to increase SPL and by moving to a larger sub(Mag) using the same 1000wrms. I am pretty sure this Mag will outperform my 12w7 what do you guys think? Could you guys reccomend optimum enclosure sizes for my Dodge Magnum. I am looking to maintain SQ as the 12w7 did a good job in that sence. I am willing to give up as much room as needed in the trunk for the enclosure. I will take the reccomended specs to a pro box builder for fabrication. all input is greatly appreciated. D

i want to run my amp at 4 ohm bridge (because that is all it is capable of)... so if i were to get two 12 d2s mags would i need to get a new amp or would it be ok for me to wire the sub at 8 ohm and run it like that?

i have an Orion H2 12 inch sub its rated at 2000 wrms my amp is rated 1200 wrms i've had it for quite a while now and im starting to get some mechanical noise, sorta sounds like its bottoming out, but i know thats not the case b/c it has like a 4 inch travel, and its def. not moving that far. i took it to the shop i bought i from and the guy promised that the sub was not blown, but said there might be something wrong with the leads. he said he wont send it in to Directed without the original reciept, which after like 7 months i of course dont have. its not that huge of a deal cause i think im gonna get a Fi BL pretty soon, but do you guys have any idea what could possibly…

Hey just want some guidance and suggestions. I have type-r's which I'm really starting to get sick of. The 6.5 is in stock location and tweeter is flush mounted in the door. All I really want to do is replace it, and not change the locations. I want component set with a passive crossover which has good sound quality. My price range is around $400. But give me some suggestions in the 300-200 price range as well. I know anything will sound better then these Alpines. I need the new tweeter to fit into the hole which is there for the type-r tweeter. i have been looking around on the ssa store and am intrested in gettin 1 15inch sub in a ported box. i saw that the packages are alot cheaper than buying seperatly. which package is better for spl the xcon or sundown nightshade D2 both with a saz1500d. the xcon package is 819 and the sundown is 899.

Id like to keep the price of the subs under $500 the subs we are considering are. Ssa xcon sundown z3 Dc xl Re audio xxx Fi sp4 We are wanting it to get loud and sound good while doing it,we planned on adding a battery and a 200 amp alt soon and big 3 for electrical. hey, i got a pair of MTX coaxials, they were $30 brand new so you can't beat that. i wanted to get components but i was low on cash and this was a pretty good deal. i am pretty happy with them other than the stupid tweeters. they are way too harsh and too loud for my liking. how can i fix this? i've messed with the 7 band EQ on my head unit and still can't get em down. are there low pass filters or sumthin to filter out the higher tones? like the opposite of a bass blocker or sumthin....?

I’m looking at fitting 2 15s in my back seat. Does anyone have any experience with the hdc4 and the ssa zcon. Trying to figure which will want more or less box size. Heading towards the less side for overall fitment purposes. Can’t decide between the 2 subs. Price is close to them just not sure what to go with. I’ve only owned a sundown x15 and 18. So don’t have to much to compare to. Also will be playing hip/hop music as a daily. With a soundqubed 3500 and adding another later down the road.

so last night i was on my way home from the tech n9ne and brotha lynch concert bumpin the new kutt calhoun cd and i noticed on higher notes like 50hz-60hz that my power hx2 started making this slight rattle type noise. whichis funny cause i just posted yesterday bout finding recones. well i thought it might be a lead slappin and doesnt look to be that. how can i determine if its coil rub? it kinda sounds like its comin from the dust cap area tho. this has me scared/sad cause i just got my sundown amp and i know i didnt over due it yet......... SO SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
