Subwoofers / Speakers

after doing some research on the internet, i end up with these three choices for my component speakers. i want a component with good sq that could hit hard. and please disregard the price comparison of the speakers. i want to know which would perform best.. TIA

Wanted to get some opinions out there.. Which would you guys go with, 2 12w6v2's sealed or 1 12 Magnum ported? Either application would be powered by a Sundown 1500d. Looking for SQ and have decent output.

Having never heard an Icon 10" in a sealed box I was wondering if it would be worth the money to upgrade the JL 10w3v3 that is currently in my JL stealth box? Box volume is .625 and is located under the center console in a 2006 toyota tundra double cab. I currently have a 500 watt RF powering it but I would upgrade the amp too if I did the switch. Basically I'm wondering if it would be significantly louder. I understand that a small sealed box isn't ideal for "loud" but it was nice keeping my back seat. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Need to go behind backseat of 03 F250 Crew cab. ive got about 5.25 inches of mounting depth. im gonna put either 3 of the tw5's or Fosgate P3 shallows, or at least 4 of the SA8's. which sound will sound fuller and less hollow and weak. im used to always having at least 2-6 12's or multiple 15's or 18's. got a new truck and trying to downsize but get the best and most out of it

I am curious about the Fi subwoofers. I have never heard them in person. I was planning on getting the JL W6V2 however I see that a LOT of people own Fi subs on this board. I can see that they are cheaper but are they actually better than JL? Another sub I was looking at was the Orion HCCA 12.4. I am going for SQ mainly however there are times when I want to really rip things apart with that bass. Thanks in advance for the help

Ok so i have narrowed down my search to JL 10w1v3, sundown e10, or id10v3. They are all very similiar in price. Please don't bash jl saying they overpriced and the such. I would like real opinions on these subs. I have .63ft^3 before displacement for each sub. There is no other box or anything like that. This is what i have and im gonna use. I have a jl xd 500/3 that I can use. That amp would be fine for the id10's or the jl. The sundowns would need a bigger amp i realize that. All of this is in a 2007 ram 1500 quad cab. I have a single cab 99 Toyota tacoma and i have very little room to work with subs wise. I am not trying to build a competition set up or anything this is more for sq, but i for the subs i have 2 six inch passive bazookas behind the seat right now which barely fits. It sounds pretty nice so far but i was planning on picking up 2 JL 6w3's and swapping out the bazooka speaker with the JLs. I was wondering has anyone heard the JL 6w3 before? is it like a good quality speaker and will it really bring the low end out?

anyone know where i could find some foam so i can repair it. they are the older 10", i just want to fix them before i get rid of them.

I have a 12w3v2 with a blown coil. Is it worth reconing? or can I just do it for fun? Who and where or what can I use to recone it?

Hey guys Im looking to buy a JL w3v3-2ohm 10'' in my car. I have a 04' BMW 3 series sedan now. I will be getting a custom box so it fits snug somewhere (not moving around everywhere). I currently have my kicker zx750.1 amp, do you think this will be a good match for it? Or do you recommend the 4ohm version? Running just a 4 gauge to it, and looking for some decent CLEAN bass to satisfy everyone in my car =D

Ive been looking to upgrade my system for a while to something louder and cleaner and have been looking mainly at JLs. I recently found W6W12s on sale on sonicelectronix for around $400. From what I read these are the subs I'm looking for but I still have a few questions. Right now I'm running a 15" Eclipse titanium in a ported box on a Hifonics Zeus 1200 watt amplifier in a 2001 Expedition. Would 2 W6s be louder than this? I'm looking for something that will really hit hard, like a lot harder than the eclipse. Will the amp I have work for two of these subs? Also would I be better off going for 1 W7? how does the SI D2 12" stack up vs the JL 12W7? i don't want JL as i am going for brands not in most retail stores, i want to know how this will compare SAME POWER ON BOTH. i have seen people post on other forums and they compare one to another but the power is differnt.

Which would hit harder the 15 w7 or 15 btl?

This is a new one to me. So it got cold here and I turned my car stereo on about a week ago. The right midrange in the kick sterted to make a static/crackling sound. I immediatly turned the radio off until I could check it over. I checked my wiring and everything is secure. I turned the radio back on and the problem is not there anymore. The speaker then worked and no static. Two weeks go by and its randomly doing it again. I am at a loss. Ive checked everything but the impedance of the driver. Who knows maybe its on its death bed. I'm looking for a recone for a juggernaut 12. I don't want to send it back to mmats I don't like there tensel leads they break too easy what other recones can I use for it

How much would yall pay for a brand new orion HCCA 15.2?

I have 3 18" ethos and was wondering if my eyes are playing tricks on me... 1 sub is moving more than the other two...all wire the same at 1.33ohms to a taramps hd8k 1ohm version. I took the subs out of the box today and coils look good nothing wrong with suspension. No noise coming from them all wire look good and multimeter reading are good to... Could it be the fact of me looking over my shoulder at a angle but even when I look at them threw the back hatch it still look like it moving more air than the other two

Well I was out pricing enclosures today & dude told me around $300 for a fiberglass enclosure. Anyone know of a better deal or am I stuck paying as much for the box as I did for the sub...err, almost as much.

I'm driving to work,all of a sudden NO bass.Well I get to work,pop the trunk and see the sub sitting upright next to box.The driver came loose from the box,I could not believe my eyes.Later that evening when I got home I screwed the sub back onto the box,turned the system on,went back to trunk,all I hear is rattling.Man I'm so pissed,anyways I emailed Nick to find out how much it would cost to fix,lets see what happens.Man I love that sub and just got the Brutus for it too,just had to let it out,thanx for listening !
