Subwoofers / Speakers

Well I've decided two woofers take up too much room in the back of my escape. So I'm going for a single woofer set up. At first I was thinking one Sundown Z 12, but then I saw 18s... So now I need recommendations, One woofer to replace two SA12s. My amp is a Memphis PR1.5KD. 1500w at 2 ohms, I'm unsure of any lower than 2 ohm stability. I'd like it to be under 500.

Doing a little cleaning and I found these. No idea where I got them or what they are.

Would a Kicker 750.1 zx be an ideal amp for a 15" 4 0HM L7?

When i was out riding today bumpin, i have my volume 1/4 the way up and my subs stop playing. Last time i had this problem the power wire came out of the amplifier but not this time, all the connections was still in tact and the amp was still on. I thought it was the fuses but if a fuse was blown the amp power light will not be on.....what you guys think? i praying the subs are not blown because the volume wasnt all the way up

stripped the old cone out / cleaned the basket / saughtered the connections on the tencel leads / used 30min epoxy resin ( clear ) / had to make my own spacers as they did not shipp with the kit... all thats left to do is place the dustcap and connect the leads to the Positive & negitive terminals... will take pics asap...

Give us a review when they are hooked up. Power? Box size and type? How it sounds.

OK I know they are out there Im just having trouble finding them. Its driving me nuts everywhere I look there is nothing but 4 ohm. Help me out guys so I can get some sleep.

im currently working on a 2009 avalanche, we are going with 2 15'' nightshade v2 1) saz3500d.. I am ready for the box. my dimensions i can use are 49.5''x 20''x 30''. im looking for the most SPL i can get out of this thing. Ive been researching for days and have seen many, many different suggestions on how to set up the port/box. im currently confused as to what surface area i need for my port. im looking to tune AROUND 30HZ. any help/ suggestions i would appreciate it. the box i came up with was 49.5w x 20''tall x 25'' deep with a port of 18.5''x8.5''x 37.25''deep. will this work or should i go another route?

Hi guys, Haven't been on here for a while. I'm wondering if someone would be able to design me a box for my first gen. Mag 15" that would be a perfect cube of 3.5cf (internal) with a 28hz port. I've been trying hard to figure it out but it just doesn't work. Thanks, Max

I've been building my powerstroke and working so iv kinda moved away from audio but today I bought me a nice 2008 fusion daily driver and want to know, what's some new good stuff out there now? Want a pair of 12s. Nothing crazy. Only have around 2000 watts to push them with. What's every one think? Anyone have anything for sale?

I'm about to upgrade my subwoofer wire to 8 ga. from 14 ga. I think I know its real real small, but anyway when upgrading so I need to run the 8 ga. to connect the voicecoils also? I know I have to run the wire from the subs to amp but not sure about the voicecoils

ive got a chance to pick up a blown 12'' AA avalanche, is it possible to put any sort of SI soft parts on the sub? i dont really remember is the ava is a 2.5 or a 3'' VC. thankies much.

Hello all, what's good.. I have been running a 2005 RE xxx 15 in a Powered for Sound snail shell enclosure for over 3 years off of a hifonics brutus bx1500d at one ohm. I am pretty sure this enclosure has a tuning of somewhere around 27-28hz...This is the frequency range that my subwoofer moves the least at when playing sine waves. I think 28hz is also the FS of the 2005 xxx 15. Anyway, I am tired of the overly-loud, and sometimes sloppy bass that ported enclosures offer. Time to go sealed. Hey guys, I heard a set of Death Row 12s today and I am THOROUGHLY impressed. Ton of clean, hard bass without losing much musicality so to speak. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with both the DR's and the DP's and if you could answer a question. I've heard from a few people that the DP's are burp princesses and don't sound very good on music. Is this the case? Or do they perform similar to the DR's? Are they burp princesses? The DR's to me sounded like a lower power xcon (don't get mad or nothing, just opinion). Looking to run a pair in my cadillac and a single in my wife's 2010 Speed 3. Opinions?

I need a set of 5 1/4 speakers for my back doors. I have an 04 escalade in the front I was thinking kickpanels with Boston acoustic pro 60's and in the back I thought I should do some coaxials, but don't know what would be good, I have a sundown 100.4 powering them and money not more than 350 for the back speakers. give me some ideas.

I have a kicker L7 in a sealed box (its dumb I already know) and a kicker zx750 I am looking to buy a bigger box ported box (3 cubic feet or so) but have been warned about the lack of quality in some boxes. Which one of these would be a better choice? Option 1 or Option 2 Or are these not the best choices for an enclosure at all?
