ok heres the deal guys. i have 4.43cu.ft if i fire towards the rear,and 5.23cu,ft if i fire up. i have a concept cc-d2400a for power.the car is a 1996 mitsubishi eclipse hatchback.i am selling ma dd9515 this weekend and am in the market for new subs for my car. i've found a couple of subs that i like but i wanted to get you guys opinions 1st. (1)-2 punch hx2 12's (2)-2 punch hx2 15's (3)-2 kicker comp vr 12's (4)-2 kicker comp vr 15's (5)-2 kicker L7 10's (6)-2 kicker L7 12's and theres a bunch more that i didn't feel like listing. what would you guys pick from my list?this is just a tossup for now,just to kind of give me a guess of what i want. thanks guys. charles

Ok, she currently has some piece of SH** amp i have no idea what it is. running 2 12 sony xplods in a sealed box... it sounds like trash. She listens to alternative rock sometimesRnB stuff with bass when she needs it. She drives a pontiac grand am. I'm thinking of either going with some sundown 10s or 12s. I don't know if i should have the box ported or sealed or if i should get one ten or 1 12? an im sure 600 to 1000watt mono block amp would be plenty. Just tryin to get her a decent setup away from those xplods on complete trash amp. Any advice on something like this that i'd be looking for?

Is the BM supposed to be better than the Mag, or is it the other way around? I just got a new SUV, so need some bumps!

Hey guys, I need two 10" woofers for my boat. Replacing the old ones. Here are my requirements - Dual 2ohm or Single 4 ohm coils - Amp is providing 300w RMS per woofer. - Best bang for the buck I'm low on funds for this one. I can get Comp VR 10's for about $65 each. Are there any bargain's out there that I could look for? Can I do better than the Comp VR's?? I'm open for any brand, doesnt matter. I'd like to not spend much more than say $75-80 each. Suggestions please!

I have a 12w3v2 with a blown coil. Is it worth reconing? or can I just do it for fun? Who and where or what can I use to recone it?

I am trying to put together a 1st system for my little brother. He just turned 16 and has a 95 ford ranger reg. cab. This is his first system and I wanna make it pound for him. For front stage he has 6.5 components powered off a 50 x 2 amp, pioneer head unit. He listens to most everything but mainly rap and heavy metal. I'm getting close to ordering the 15" DCON and will be building my first enclose with my buddies tools and expertise, but I've been reading and researching just enough to be dangerous. I've been on carstereo.com, bcae1.com, diyma.com, and a few others. While the smaller drivers t/s parameters do lean in favor of ported enclosures (along with much antecdotal evidence) the 15" appears to be more suited to the sealed enclosure. Example, the Fs of the 15" is 33.5hz and the 10" is 29.4hz. I haven't researched every subwoofer line, but this seems to buck the trend, big time, unless it's an error on the website. Anyone have experience with the new Tang Band Neo 6x9 subs? My new truck will have 6x9 cutouts in the front doors and I'm looking at these for dedicated midbasses in a 3-way front setup matched up with Hybrid 4s and tweets. Power for all coming from a trio of Sundown 100.2s and filtering from a Altomobile Drive 30. I really want to do the Hybrid 8s in the doors but it doesn't look like that will possible without some heavy cutting on the door and door panel which I'm not willing to do this time around. Im building a new system and i want to match my sub to my amp i currently have. It will put 1200w rms @ 2 ohms and 1700w rms @ 1 ohm. I was looking at the BL 12 and figured since it had a 1500w rms that it would be a good match. Would u recommend the BL 12 or a different sub to match with my amp

Ok so here Im going to get Image dynamics XS-65 which consists of a 6.5inch woofer and a tweeter. Thats 2 way right? So if I plan on using it together with my 12inch subwoofer, would that make my setup a 3 way? I just read that for a "true" 3 way, you need a tweeter, a midrange (3 inch) and a woofer (5-6inch). So I was wrong the whole time? Then if you add a subwoofer, you actually have a 4-way system Also, from what I read is that what Im actually going to have (with the xs-65 components and my 12inch sub) is called a 2 way crossover + subwoofer and NOT 3 way? So this confuses me even more because.... if you get a 3 way component set, then how do you run them active? A .…

I have a single 10" xcon in a box i built under the seat of my crewcab dodge pickup, powered by a black ice 1300w D block run at 1ohm. I get decent bass out of it, but if i try to crank it up some i get a rattling sound from the woofer cone area. This is not with all my gain and bass knobs/levels maxed out either. Maybe im expecting to much from a 10? Just seems odd my 1300w amp is maxing out an xcon when not even cranked at full tilt. Ill post a video tomorrow so yall can see. Im no audio expert and dont have an audio shop around that hasnt tried blowing smoke up my a**.

Also, which would you all choose? RL-P or a Mag If there was an actual comparison done, I would like to see that also, or if there is a link, that would be great too. thanks

Hey guys, I heard a set of Death Row 12s today and I am THOROUGHLY impressed. Ton of clean, hard bass without losing much musicality so to speak. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with both the DR's and the DP's and if you could answer a question. I've heard from a few people that the DP's are burp princesses and don't sound very good on music. Is this the case? Or do they perform similar to the DR's? Are they burp princesses? The DR's to me sounded like a lower power xcon (don't get mad or nothing, just opinion). Looking to run a pair in my cadillac and a single in my wife's 2010 Speed 3. Opinions?
