so i am getting a $400 loan from a friend an i want to get TWO not one but TWO 18's what is the absolute best i could possibly get for that? i am like, OCD and i cant stand having a lonely woofer so it has to be a pair...=| please help. i am itching to break things with pure sound!!

I have a 2003 dodge ram im looking to put a setup in under the back seat. I will be building a fiberglass sealed box conformed to the underseat area shape. It will net me a minimum of 1.75ft3. Im just looking for hard hitting bass, no top of the line setup. Budget for the subs is around $300+-, i would imagine 2 10's would probably be my best route? I just went around to all the shops here in town for different opinions. I know Kicker is normally frowned upon, but a few places suggested the new Comp R 10's and a cx1200.1. which setup would hit harder and sound better all around, two rl-p 12"s or one rl-p 15"? also what would be a good amp to power the sub(s)? thanks!

ok, well i am loving the Magnum and wantto add a 2nd 12 into my car, no 15s too big. But one, i know they no longer make them and only newer ones will be coming out. Secondly they only make D2 versions. Should i wait for the new ones to come out and will they be D4 or should just buy another one of the older siler multi spoke ones and get another amp?

I'm tired of not having any beat at all so I'm getting a box tuned to 32hz and need some subs. I've heard type r's plenty of times and have two tens in my room. I have never heard the p3's buy have heard good things about them. How do they compare to the sound of the type r? I just need some beat right now and I don't wanna spend more than 130 on my subs. I know either would be a good buy but I can get the p3 for a bit cheaper. Anyway let me know whAt you guys think would be the better choice.

I was on the forums awhile ago and got some great help designing a box from a member (can't remember who). Just wanted to show what he helped me do. I have 3 SSA DCON 12's in a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. I just metered on a TermLab and the results were great. I have had this system in for over a year and this is the first time I have had it metered. I keep on having notions to try the Havoc, Brahma and some other subs out there. I don't know why, just cause i like to try them. But those pre-order prices are so tempting. But my box is made for the Mag, but I don't want to use 1200rms on it!!!! AHHH the confusion.

The Fi BTL NEO that I ordered has a 2ohm Re rating of 1.8 so wiring in parallel i should be at .9ish ohms before possible box rise and any damping factors. I bought the AA 3800.1D and just purchased a North Star AGM31 for the back. I know my box is built to spec, tuned at 32hz, braced like a champ and stiff as humanly possible...here is my question/concern... Ok i dont have a lot of room in my doors and can only put a 5.5 in it maybe 6 with some mod. I was thinking of going active off a sundown sax 100.4 with Seas CA15RLY and not sure what tweet so what would go good with that. Or would it just be better to get a component set.

I am figuring on buying 2 15" Q. I am debating whether i should get the 1500zx kicker amp or the PA 4000 amp. I also need to know whether i will need a new alternator if i already have an upgraded battery and a 4.0 FARAD capacitor. I want the system to be loud, and not have to worry about blowing the speaker. Also should i get the 2 15"s 1 ohm or 2ohm if im going to be using one amp. Thanks

Ok well I am going to be reconing my first sub in the next week or so (sundown nightshade v.1 stock coil with extra spider), I know I need to buy ca glue(from fix my speaker) but which ca glue do I need to buy? And I was just reading on ca.com about how to recone, it gave a step by step of how to recone the spider, first put the glue on the spider landing then apply the spider move it around a little to get a good contact then spray the activator on, but not too much because it will discolor and such. But my question is how do I glue the surround to the basket? It never said anything about the activator or anything. So do I just use the glue? Or do I repeat the steps for …

Hi, I will sell my Xcon this week. I have a wonderful deal, so I must sell it !!! I love the Xcon, but want to try something else. If I could fit (2) 12" , I would get (2) Xcons. Now, I want a 12" Fi Btl N2 to put in my 3.2 ft3 ported enclosure. I like it because of the "reduced" weight. I want to be louder than now, but still clean ! I listen to reggae and rap mostly. I thought about those 12"subs : Fi Btl N2, AA Mayhem, DC level 4 xl,... But what is your opinion ? What would you choose ? In the future, I will try a more powerful amp (2500 watts), and I will build a smaller box for the 12". I need room in the trunk to fit a battery and some groceries eventually ! Waiting…

Ive got 2 15'' d2's and about 7 cubes to work with if that. Should I port it or just go ahead and seal it off? Im running a jbl 1200.1 to them and its in a hatchback. I want all the spl I can get.

here is a few pics of a box i just finished for a explorer....the install pic is on another camera.....anyway, the amp was doa, so no beats yet.....however i did hook this up in my truck off my amp, giving them about 600 wrms, and while they aren't my 15's..they are indeed loud and very clean oh yeah..they are in 1.75ft^3 apiece and the box has a fs of 38hz..well, according to mtx specs...so does that mean that it is tuned to 38hz? anyway, it is my first time carpeting a box and i almost didn't have enuff, so in the process a nasty seam was created..but it faces the back seat, so it won't be seen ........ also...i charged $150 including materials,which came to $65 or so..…

I've been too busy to put my mag 15 in my 3.7cf tuned to 27hz box that my friend built.I am picking the box up in 2 days and was wondering,when i asked my friend the size of the box he built and he told me 3.7cf, but when i asked him if it's tuned to 27 hz he said theres 25sq inches of port.Does that sound like it's tuned to 27hz?

well i could really use some help with my box design.. i ordered a 15 Xcon on monday and i want to start on the box for it.. i have a table saw and router and have built a couple boxes before.. but i am kind of new to this and want this box to sound good,, it will be going in the back of my 06 ford-f-150 fx4 supercrew.. i plain on putting it were my small side rear seat folds... i would like it to be 21x21 then 27-26 tall. ( sub on top ).. i would like it to come out to the 4 cu.ft ported.... they say 26-33 hz..... i listen to mostley rock...hard rock... but i like most music that sounds good.... i love good bass... i am not very good at figureing out all the math...…

just want some opinions who do you think makes some good component sets for mid bass and highs?
