ive been looking at cdt mids and tweeters lately, specifically the hd-642 set, has anyone has anyone had any experience with this brand, or better yet this series, and whats your review if so

do crossovers make a difference in the frequency a speaker plays? for instance, are there some crossovers them don't let mids play below a certain frequency and don't let tweets go above a certain frequency? its seems like my crystals were like that, like the mids couldn't go below 70hz, even with the HP filter off on the HU and the button on the amp swithched to 'full' . help me :/

I'm looking for something that sounds good but doesn't break the bank. They will be getting 50-60 watts per side. I have a RF T500-1bd and I want to try one of these pairs of 10s ported. My girlfriend bought my sealed dcon 12s off me for a great price! Please correct me if I'm wrong, the size of a ported enclosure determines how efficient it will be? I'm going to throw of one these in 1.5 cubes each chamber tuned to 33hz - 34hz. If you've had experience with either of these subs I'de love your input. Is anyone able to tell which of these would be louder? This is the last time I'm going to ask this, I'm either choosing one or the other due to which ever gets more votes.

OK... I was offered a pair of RD Sonance V.2 12"s and a Memphis MC2000-D for my 4Kw.... I do not know about anything RD except for the H.W. which i loved but... are they geared more toward SPL or LOUD SOUND QUALITY? What should I do with them? They are RFP-1408's, I bought them off Craigslist a while back for $30, now they're just collecting dust, what should I do with them?

Would it be ok to temporarily run my bl 15 (dual 2) on one voice coil at 2 ohms from a kicker 300.1 until i get my t10001bd. or will this blow the sub from lack of power.

I just got it from my uncle, it's an Orion 15", it says "The hott set-up" on the front, the sticker is pealed off the magnet so I have no idea how many watts it is or how many ohms the coil is, or even the model number. I'm not gonna try emailing Orion because the last time I did that, they sent me 7 PDFs that were all the wrong subwoofer, and then stopped replying to my emails. Anyone know anything about this subwoofer? I can post a pic if needed.

I just got my Pioneer PRS components running active on a Rockford Power 600-4 amp and Pioneer P800-PRS head deck. So far I'm quite pleased with the results but it's not perfect. On some songs I notice distortion/light bottoming which I traced to come from the 6.5" mids in the doors, and only when I'm really rocking out I've got them crossed over fairly low, at 80Hz because I've got my sub-stage crossed at 63Hz. I like the way this sounds, I could cross the mids higher and solve this problem but then it sounds like a large hole. I don't want to raise the sub crossover point either to fix this, my subs play pretty sloppy IMO near 80Hz plus I don't like what that does to…

went to local hobby shop and checked out their glue, is it the 'rubber toughened' ca glue used to recones ?

i was checkin out these subs and saw that the 10" DC lv.3. Whats it go for? and will it work pretty good in a long wedge shaped box w/ 3/4" mdf at .78 cu. ft in a sealed box? 600/1200 seams to be wat i need. i figured i can only get one cuz im limited on space and wanted a good sized box for a good output. whats the excusion like? thanks.

hey guys i have a cascade omega 15 and i love it it handles power no problem .... my question is can i run a night shade with my saz 3000 d daily like i do with my omega? and which would sound better? an which one had a bigger mag i never saw them compared.

I'm torn on what to buy. I love SPL and SQ, but I dont want to much of either. I'm afraid I'll get something and want more and more. I need to find a single 12'', maybe two. Has the quality of the RE XXX's gone down? I remember then as beasts, and the dream subs... Ascendant Audio Havocs? Fi Q or BL? Sound Splinter RLp? Help... BTW, is it better to get a 20.1 for this install or a SAZ-1500?

I have a Kicker ZX1000.1 that says 1275 watts at 2 ohms. I had 2 Pioneer SPL subs that fried on this amp. I'm pretty sure the subs were damaged when my Kicker DX700 blew. So the new amp would cut out at higher volumes. I measured the ohm load and it would read 1.2-1.4 ohms. I am looking at switching to a Fi 15BL sub in a vented box around 4 cubic feet at 33Hz. Should I get the 1 ohm DVC and wire it in series? I noticed that on the Fi website the value of Re at 1.4 ohms...I've never seen this value and just don't want to get a sub that will cut out not having enough resistance for that amp. Any suggestions?

if you take a fully loaded btl D1 coils and wire up one autotek mean machine 1500d to each coil would it put each amp at 1 ohms since its a 1 ohm coil?

just like the title.. would a Fi SSD 15 get louder than the DC Lvl 2 15?..i seen the SSD specs and it says 800rms...specs on the Lvl 2 is 300rms 600 peak..just by looking at the specs im thinking the SSD would DEFF be louder than the LVL 2..but just wana make sure and get more responses from you guys and people that have had experience on FI or DC...NEVER ran FI before and thinking on trading my DC for the SSD and run FI!
