hey guys!! i recently purchased a 2002 chevy suburban. I will be using the burban as my sound car instead of my dodge charger so my question is... what components do you guys suggest me getting the car speaker sizes are 5-1/4" all around.. front door,rear door and kick panel. i want to get them on an amp was thinking of a sundown amp for sure because i am getting a sundown SAZ-2000 if you guys can help me out PLEASE figure out what components and sundown amp to get!! For box purposes, I am looking to get an idea of the weight of the 15 inch HDC3 and the 2009BL. I know my old BL was around 34 pounds but I know the new ones are heavier. Any info would help. Thanks

which series of fi subs are closest to the icons i seen a post on here some where and now i cant find it. someone was comparing the icons response with the bl's. i wana know if the icons are like the q's or bl's.

So i got my new amplifier Kenwood KAC-9104D And now its time to find some woofers. 1x Vibe Space 12" (1000WRMS/3000WMAX) 2x Alpine Alpine SWE-1243E 12" (250WRMS/800WMAX) So which would be better ? One Vibe or 2 Alpines.

I have seen the Focal 165 VR3 set of 6.5s, 4s, tweets and wonder if they are good. I have heard by some that they are overrated. My local shop carries them so I know they will be bias. I can get the whole set for $320 with warr. They can go in a 91 Silverado ext cab powered by a sundown 125.2 and I think they would all fit. I havent cut the holes for the 6.5s in the doors yet but Ive heard its a very common custom install spot in that truck. What do you guys think of Focal?

Im looking at some of the Audio Pulse (www.audiopulse.com) subwoofers and am just curious if anyone here has ever had one or knows somebody with one. Im just curious as to the quality and checking to see if there worth using or not? These are the ones im specifically looking at getting here.

Well here's the story, I purchased this sub off my cousin who said that it was originally a RE 18 that he blew then he sent it to FI to be rebuilt with soft parts(not sure what this is). I then purchased a SAE 1200d to power it. Once I got everything installed I had no sound out of the sub, so I started troubleshooting the best of my abilities. I still couldn't get it workin so I took it to a audio shop who said he tested the system and it was the sub that was bad, he was unable to tell me why. This is just a question out of curiousity. In the past I had a few different pair of sealed 12s. I have had Orion P12s, JL W3D4 12s and now SSA dcon 12s. IMO the dcon 12s don't get that loud sealed. The P12s & W3D4s I had were louder (I know the dcons may own either ported). Kicker subs also tend to be capable of getting loud sealed. What other pairs of 12 inch subs tend to get loud and sound good in the 500 watt power range sealed?

so what kind of out put are people getting with the 15" IXL sub what kind of DB's are people getting? I have a MJ-18 (not a MJ-18M the old MJ-18) and I would like to try some thing new right now im doing about 140/143's I would like to be able to do 145 and but sound good to I just dont know if it would be louder so I'm just trying to get a idea of what people are doing..FYI I dont think 145's will be to hard b/c I have a civic hatch back O and im not asking "will it be louder" that's a newbe Q Im just curious as to what DB's you are getting

I am looking at getting a new woofer for my car. I will be running 4000 watts when i redo my system and was wondering if the LVL 4 XL will hold up to this amount of power or will i definitely have to look at the LVL 5? It will be used mainly for daily use with occasional spl use.

First let me say that I absolutely hate having to ask a this vs that question. That being said I want to get the best setup for my preferences and have limited experience. I have had many different setups but only two serious setups. Both included identical parts (same car I blew one sub switched to another.) For electrical I had the big 3 done in 0 gauge, a normal battery in the engine bay with 4 red tops in the back, 5 single farad capacitors on a bus line, a Alphasonic 8 volt line driver, two Earthquake D3 amps, and a 240amp alt. just like the title.. would a Fi SSD 15 get louder than the DC Lvl 2 15?..i seen the SSD specs and it says 800rms...specs on the Lvl 2 is 300rms 600 peak..just by looking at the specs im thinking the SSD would DEFF be louder than the LVL 2..but just wana make sure and get more responses from you guys and people that have had experience on FI or DC...NEVER ran FI before and thinking on trading my DC for the SSD and run FI!

well i finally fixed all the things on my truck that need to be fixed (exceptfor the a/c which is being a pain) and im finally about to get off of doctors leave from my surgery and ive found a new, much better paying job, now im planning on finally installing a system! i would never mix independance levels, ever. this guy i kno needed help with his system. so i looked at his wiring on his woofers and he had 2 of the same brand woofers and model but had a 4ohm svc and a 4ohm dvc hooked up. im just curious, wat would happen if you hooked up a 4ohm dvc sub and a 4ohm svc sub togther? or is there a way u can hook em up?
