Hi folks I'll post a request from another forum I made, I was directed here as I should have ___ Well, again Fosgate is what I used before so I'm not too familiar with a good balanced sub for LSQ anymore. With what I've got laid out, I think I'll have about $900 (CDN) left for the Sub and Enclosure, guess that's about $650 US. I had a kid at school offer me $700 cash for my SA15s in the box. I payed 500 for the subs and box new so i'm almost positive i'm going to do it. Now, the question is do I buy the exact same subs and get a box built and take the $200 profit and get some components or something like that or do I slightly upgrade. If upgrade, what would be some good subs to look at. I'm running an saz2500 for my amp

Im so happy my Oz Audio matrix elite 15" arrived yesterday I just thought id post some pics. I can't wait to see what this sub can do, ive heard nothing but good things about Oz. Im in the process of building the box as well and ill post some pics once i get further along with it

Should I go with 3 or 4 kicker 12L7's.....2 13w7's....or 2 or 3 12w7's I'll probably haev either two kicker 1500 watt amps or the kicker 2500 watt amps. I'm looking to bump hard around town, sound nice and get real loud. It'd be nice to about hit 150dB if possible. thanks! Or if there are any other subs that are comparable if not better, suggestions are welcome!

Well, I have 2 RE SE 12's on a Us Amps XT4000DEV2, heres the problem my stock speakers can't hold up for shit.......And my max budget on Speakers is 100$ and as for an amp I'm pretty set on the Us Amps XT800.4V2 for the price(50)......So my decision is on what components i should get....Was originally set on some Type R's to match my rears, then SSA has the bravox group buy and all this happening I can't decide i just want to hear my mids and highs over my subs. I well deaden the doors and make a little sealed chamber for better mid. Might go active but I'm not so sure. I also plan on getting an EQ so just need to decide on which things to get. Oh BTW my speaker hole is 6…

Ok WoW This thing is absolutly amazing, i have it hooked up to a 504 alpine amp and this thing it just a monster after the break in it just got better and better for the first 2 hours of it i thought i had damaged hearing in my right ear, i played Candy Shop... Scared my mom away,.....played puritian....Made my friend believe his ears were bleeding...played Any other song IT just blew away everything else. It isnt even hoooked up to tooo much power and its just blasting away, Most definaltly i will be doing further purchasing of this sub and i will be spreading the word. Well I am not sure what I want here. The level 5 15" woofer can come with several different type of coils -- d.7 d1 d1.4 or d2. If I get d2 then I can wire it to 1 ohm, but then why not just get the d1? Or could I not wire that to 1ohm and it would be pushed to .5 ohms (which I would not prefer doing seeing as SAZ are unstable below .9 ohms I believe). Oh and I am using a SAZ-3500D on a single level 5 15"

ive been intrested in getting either setup, i obviously have the kicker amp, im goin to be building a box myself and help with some friends of mine, whatever setup i choose the tuning will be at either 30-32 hz (maybe 34-35 hz) anyway, which would u choose?? thanks

Ok, I'll put this out to those who are definitely not as technically challenged as I. I went garage-saling, and picked up a set of used Infinity Ref 6000cs's for $30. Have since tested them and work fine, just not enough base for me. I tried them in a small 1/3 cube homemade box to test them. Now, is it possible to just replace the Infinity Woofer with an MLI-65 and get much better base(sound quality and punch) with a cold swap ? There are really no "adjustments" that can be made on these crossovers except to go -3db's on the tweets. Just wondering...

Was just wondering how a single 15" D2 will handle 1500 watts of power? Is it too much for the driver, or will it handle it perfectly and pound to my heart's content? Thanks

hey nick i know this isnt exactly Sub related but i saw in a different forum that you sugjested the Morel MW144 midrange driver to someone? you said it was really good and had killer flat responce so i was wondering if you could please tell me a bit about it? maybe even a review if possible?

would the Zed Minilith be a good match for the new Mag? I know the Mag is rated at 900RMS and the Minilith is rated at 600RMS. I know the Mag can take less and the Minilith does more but would this be a good match for SQ and the occassional SPL comp?

I picked up a new Daily Driver, its a 2005 TrailBlazer and I want to put a decent system in... This system will be strictly for Music no SPL comps or anything crazy, I just want a really clean install, a system that sounds really nice and is Dependable... Of Course the Stereo nut SPL Freak in me wants it as loud as possible, but Still as good as possible... Not chassing the DBs... I listem to Mostly Rap, some R&B, Some smooth Jazz, some Rock, Wife listens to the same, plus Country and some old Blues I guess it is.... what model is this FI? it says "15 BTL D2 PW PC" written on the magnet with a sharpie, im guessing thats from the builder? but i had someone tell me this is not a BTL, i need this cleared up since im selling it, and i dont wanna misrepresent what it is.. thanks

I am looking for some mids to put in my doors and wondering if these can do the trick. Id like to use 2 in each door off a SAX100.4. Then some dome tweets on the a-pillar off a SAX50.4. Like to use SSA but these are the only "speakers" they carry. Properly installed with deadening, can these round out my system. Id love to glass the doors with a nice setup but dont have the skills or the funds right now for that. I get tired of not being able to clearly hear the vocals, guitar, drums, etc. All my truck info is in the sig. All suggestions or comments are welcome.

i want to buy a 12 inch ssa dcon and run it off an re/us amps dts 800.1 mono block which runs 400watts at 1ohm and 280 at 2 ohms. can the dcon be wired down to 1ohm stable or should i keep it at 2 ohms and run the 280rms to it? Thanks

i have one dual voice coil 4 ohm sub. i wired it to 2 ohm. i checked the resistance with a DMM and the read out i got was 2.5 ohms. is this normal? also when setting my gain should i use the formula 500 watts x 2 ohm = sqrt (1000) = 31.62 or should i do 500 watts x 2.5 ohm???

The only place i see you can order maw-12's is directly from mach 5 audio, which is based in canada, so wouldn't shipping be really high? is there any store in the US that carries them? (i wish ssa carried more than just the 15 and 18) thanks for the help

So I have everything but my subs and I'm killing myself trying to decide on subs! I have an Arc 2300se for sub duty, birth sheet says 1400w bridged @ 4ohms. So I'm looking for two 12s, sealed for space issues, separate sealed boxes that is. 700 watts a piece with SQ being a priority, some Xmax for output maybe, as I do like my bass and want to be able to flex my muscles. Full legatia se 3 way front stage to blend with.

Hey guys, I am looking to get some more tweeters, I want a brighter sound than what I am getting now, I would also like to get some that are very smooth. I wanna test both sides of the spectrum. Could someone give me some decend ?brands?? to look into... I also want to replace the 5x7 that are in the rear door and put some 6x9's on the rear deck, Or perhaps 6x9's in the door and some 8" in the rear deck... Anyway could you guys give me some of your thoughts on pretty decent sounding speakers that can handle some power and crank out the volume... Thx

I currently have a single older model RE 12 in the back of my extended cab s10. It's being fed by a JL 500/1. I want to replace it with a single 15 and am looking for some suggestions. I have been doing a lot of research and am looking for everyones inputs. I would like to keep the amp, but would upgrade it if need be. I already have upgraded wiring, alt, battery so power isn't a problem.

I don't have amgnums yet, but I'm planning to get them soon. But I'm going to start planning and building the box. I want a ported box for 2, tuned to between 28-30. My max outside dimensions are 15.5h X 19d X 35w. How long and wide should the port be? thanks for the help
