I want to know if Level 2s will take 500RMS? I have a 12" BL at the moment on a Diamond Audio D61000.1 @ 1ohm in my truck and I'm planning on getting 2 12" Level 2s. I will be satisfied right?

Hey, i've been looking for days on the internet but there are just too many subs to choose from. I asked about what subwoofer would be best for me on another forum but lets say they werent very helpfull. So im looking for a single or 2 subwoofers (dont know what's best yet) for in my car. I got a kind of low budget but i just want to get some nice bass. It is for daily use btw, if it matters. I live in The Netherlands, so im not sure if all subwoofers can be shipped to here. well i have decided that it is time for a switch up in the system. i curently have a RE sx 15", with a american bass 100.1, but the sx is being sold today. after reading many rave reviews and talking to sean (ibander on most fourms) i am pretty set in that i want to get the new mag. the only thing is if i want a 12 or a 15. my dilemma, i would like trunk space. but no big deal if i dont have any. ibander said that with too big a box none of the sound will make it into the cabin, i believe what he says being that he knows more than me and has more experience. i will probally just go with a 12" ported i dont really have a question, or a point. just wanted to say hi and yo…

Hey guys, we recently purchased '11 Toyota Venza with stock stereo and I'm pretty dissapointed with the audio system in a $40k car, whether the stock or the upgraded JBL package system, real disapointment. I want to upgrade the stock speakers only, as this is mainly my fiance's car to work and our family car for trips. As I mentioned a few threads down, my sub sounded like it was blown or there was a really bad air leak. One of the coils comes in at 2 ohms and the other is at 17-32 ohms. Look at the pics below of this coil, has this ever happened before????? The lead that was intersown came loose and where it was sown in, there is now a rip This is me pushing down to try to show just how bad the rip is. What exactly happened here?

I've been looking on getting a better speaker set up for my 2002 4Runner, and with my knowledge (beginner) I figured the easiest thing to do would be getting a comp set and wanted to see if you guys could recommend a company or an actual set! I'm not super worried about pricing. I don't need anything cheap because I'd rather have quality products, but at the same time my ABSOLUTE limit would be $1500-$2000 though I'd like to stay under that. My car comes with 4 mid speakers and 2 tweeters, though most sets come with two mids so I wouldn't mind getting two more down the road. My gf just bought a car and I'm helping her set up a system in it. I have an enclosure for a 15 that is 3.5 cubes tuned to 34hz. Would that be ok for a Level 2 15 being powered by about 500 - 600 watts?

Has anyone ever use speaker baffles for their door speakers and did you notice an improvement in sq?

I have two 12" JL w6v2 subs. I dont have an amp powerfull enough to power them anymore, so I'm going to run with a single sub for a while. I'm want to build a new enclosure for it... it will either be a sono tube or a fiberglass enclosure. I'm just wondering what some of you JL owners are running a single w6v2 in?? I know JL has some specs on their site for "suggested" enclosures. I've made their slot port before... but I sold it when I upgraded to two subs... and to be honest, I dont think its the best it could have been. I have a down fire for 2 12s, sealed box under the seat of my silverado. When I turn the volume up to 13 everything sounds fine when playing a song with big bass. But when I hit 14+ it almost sounds like its bottoming out. But heres the thing, when I put my hand over the bump on the top of the box and press down, that farting, blurping, vibrating (whatever you want to call it) sound goes away. Its only happening on one side Is my box coming undone? Or is it probably my sub? If it could be a box issue, what can I do and how do I find out where the issue is?

Ok so i just wanted to see what would work best in the space i have which is. 16H x 38W x 28D. The depth and width can be lowered if need be. looking to spend $450 or less. currently, im looking at the cdt audio es-62i or the re audio xxx components. i know these components sell for a lot more but there are places online that are offering deals on them. i have a 200watt eclipse amp (willing to upgrade if necessary). im looking for a set that will go well with 2 ported 12s (like fi q or icons) that will be either powered with 1500watts or 2500watts. i dont have any access to listen to different components so i have to decide from experiences people have online. if you recommend other components, please post them as well. appreciate the help!

My enclosure engineer keeps on insisting to make it 1.25 cubes. Couldn't break every1's advise here to go 1.5 after displacement. WTF is he recommending 1.25? This fukker is also not concerned about the thickness of the MDF, I cant remember how many times I reminded him to make it 3/4" inch. How thick are they usually? If it requires trimming to make it 3/4" of an inch, that f00ker probably wont even bother. =\ I think Ill get another one from Gnome. What is his site's URL?

Hello everyone! I need some advice about making a compact Subwoofer. I am planning to make portable,"on the go" subwoofer box, but I have dilemmas about the speaker size. The enclosure will be 6x6x6 inches. I can feet 5.25 inch speaker with no problem, but I have terrible feeling that the woofer will not sound good. So I need your opinion. Should i go with the 5.25 inch speaker, or I am going to need smaller speaker like 4 inches? I really appreciate your help. Thank you.

Going to the shop on Saturday to get my box ready. I will go for a custom sealed box measuring 1.5 cubes. As people here already know, I am a n00b in car audio. So please I would REALLY appreciate any suggestions. What should I tell the guy to do with my box? Thickness, volume, material, etc.

just making a final pick on subs for the back of a hatchback subs will be in a 2.5 3 cubic box ported and it will be a single 10 have about 800rms to play with at 4 ohms i mostly listen to rap.

Hi I am thinking of purchasing off CL 2 SX 10's (12 spoke style basket) and 2 AudioPipe APSM-1300 for $400? It sounds like a great deal but wanted to get some 2nd opinions. Thanks...
