Well, I have 2 RE SE 12's on a Us Amps XT4000DEV2, heres the problem my stock speakers can't hold up for shit.......And my max budget on Speakers is 100$ and as for an amp I'm pretty set on the Us Amps XT800.4V2 for the price(50)......So my decision is on what components i should get....Was originally set on some Type R's to match my rears, then SSA has the bravox group buy and all this happening I can't decide i just want to hear my mids and highs over my subs. I well deaden the doors and make a little sealed chamber for better mid. Might go active but I'm not so sure. I also plan on getting an EQ so just need to decide on which things to get. What would be some great sounding compents.I'm way out dated on this.everything in my car is factory minus my hu and my six year old 3 way pioneer 6x9's.pioneer use to b my only choice but things aren't made the same anymore.

When I replaced the AP30001D something amazing happened... the van started playing as it was supposed to. Most incredible amzing low end output. Air movement that no one would believe unless they actually sat in it, but if you did, rear-end leakage was destined to occure. I built a sealed box for my car already but i need to build a ported box for comps. Ive got 2 15'' d2s with 1200 watts rms My cars resonant frequency is about 35 from what ive read. Should i tune it to 35? or to what the subs are reccommended to? or ive heard to tune about 10-12 hz above my cars resonant freq.?

I would like to try and build a ported box for a 12" Kicker CompR but need some direction. I downloaded some apps and did some reading but I think it may have confused me even more. Does anyone have plans for a box design? Thanks for any help.

well i have a box for my clarion subs already fabbed up, but it looks like someone wants to buy them, so i was wondering if roughly 3 cubes at 29 hz, with power from a 1500d sundown will sound half decent or atleast better then the c-rons i have now? the box can not go any bigger with out not being able to get it in and out of my trunk. 2 15's at 3 cubes 7.8 cubes external box volume :S and it can be taken out with alot of work lol. oh and im looking at getting 2 if the total price of them shipped to canada is less then 1000 bucks lol.

Any body ever heard this component set. I believe they were made by Adire before they went under. Not alot of reviews on the net about them.

I just bought a dcon 12 I'm putting in a 1.75 sealed box with 400w rms I know they hold up strong in the sq department but how about spl?? Will it be loud in a xtracab tacoma?

Yep, we sent our 12" BM prototype to JimJ without ever listening to it. A lot of people would say that's a pretty stupid thing to do. But we have enough confidence in the new BM line from auditioning the 10" model that we jumped out on a limb and send him the driver. Jim has a prototype with a few things fixed vs. the 10" model - mainly the surround color - but not everything is finalized on this prototype. The only big thing left to do is to treat the dust cap for a different finish. But besides the latter, the driver Jim has will perform just like the production drivers will. Jim sent me an email yesterday letting me know he got the driver and will be testing it…

Don't laugh too hard, but I bought my 2nd Gen SI D2 12" sub so long ago, I forget how I was going to wire it. What Ohm do I wire this at? I ask because I may move the amp I was originally going to use to my midbass and need to find a new sub amp for this sub.

So i received my xcon just now... and i was checking it over and there are no mounting holes in the surround.. do i just drill out where the hole is in the frame? ( there are mounting holes in the basket and the gasket just not where the surround is)

Is there anyway SI can send me a template so I can go somewhere and get something painted on? wanting to do 2 12" in a suv. will be amped wth around 1800wts. cant decide which one to go with . soundsplinter rlp's or fi q's. they will be used in a low tuned ported box. just want some feedback or comments on the two.

I'm working on trading for a soundstream xxx 15. It still has the tarantula on the dust cap, so I'm assuming it hasn't been reconed. Were there any different versions? Are they all made by TC. Anything I need to look at besides measuring the coils, checking the color of the coil, and checking for any mechanical noise?

Okay I just received my Mag and had some questions about best practices as far as setup goes. I have a 20.1 pushing the Mag so there is no lack in power. My question is in regards to the wiring and getting the Mag to the lowest impedance possible for more power. From reading I know the Mags are Dual 2 Ohm so how can I lower this? I currently have a 5" focal mid range in the front doors, two soundstream tws.4 on the front dash. in the rear is a rockford fosgate prime component set with the woofers on the rear deck and tweeters on the top of the rear window. I'm not pleased with how the front sounds so I need something better up there. I have a four channel amp that does about 75 each channel and a two channel that does 125 each channel. I was thinking something along the lines of a midbass and new tweeter in the front, then possible using the focal mids and tws.4 tweeters for the rear.
