Alright I'm new to the game of car audio, but currently my car audio system.... sucks, unable to hold any of the music I listen to at the loudness I want...expected of course but a new system is needed, and i plan to do the whole system from start to finish I chosen a receiver that seems to suit my needs already and plan to purchase it soon, but I am completely unsure of the subwoofer I want, I listen to rock, and A LOT of electronic (house, dance, etc) and that means I want my bass to hit hard but at the same time it needs to be fast and keep up with the fast past music i listen to. I have a mach5 audio MJ-18 i would like to throw it in a ported box but space is a huge issue. I could do 3.5 maybe 4 cubes at 34hz. will be giving the sub between 600-800 rms. i know its not optimal but it would be better than sealed correct

Hello everyone, i have two sets of 6.5 in. speakers im using as midbass in my s-10 pickup, im putting one speaker in the factory location and putting the other in Q-forms, has any body done this before, and how does this sound, then i am using some infinity 4x6 plate speakers in the factory location on top of the dash, the 6.5 will be crossed over at 60hrtz, then the infinity plates around 400 hrtz, has anyone heard a setup like this?I will have (4) q15s subwoofers in the box of the truck with a blow through to the cab, well i was just wondering what u all think about this setup, ty, brian

running a single fi bl 15 on a saz-3000d at 2 ohms? would that be okay and not blow it the options i have on it is cooling,daily, universal d1 until i get my next fi bl its ported of course in a 4.5 cuft tuned to 30hz

Been looking through all the specs for the three. Well what specs their are for the Xcon. They all seem to be about equal in most aspects. What I'm looking for is a sub that can handle my Sundown 1500d daily, sounds good, will get loud when asked. Looking at the 12" or 15" models due to hight limitations in my car. Have up 3cft to work with. If you can think of another sub that will fit the bill throw it in the mix. This is for a 2005 Focus hatchback. I found out today when I checked my email that I won a gift card at work that I can spend at Crutchfield or Best Buy. There are other places, but they are the only ones that offer car audio. The card value is $350.00. Would it be worth it to add the extra $150.00 and get a set of these? I also see where they have a set of Focal 3 way Focal Access 165A3 for $499.00, but it does not look like one of the higher end sets. I realize Crutchfield is overpriced, but I still wanted to see if anyone has listened to these or have any opinions about them. So first try at everything failed miserably.....my box sucked, my amp mysteriously blew fuses, etc. But now! I built a new box for my AQ SDC2.5 12" sub.....around 2cuft net tuned to ~38Hz.......and got the sub put in and all ready to go. Now, I was more than a little nervous hooking up my amp. I have a 2005 F150, Supercrew. I've come up with a plan of action that I had planned on doing. Well this wknd I got so pissed off... you know the type where you want to distroy the world. Anyway I through a remote(big TV remote) and the bastard thing smached into my sub busting the dustcap and slightly denting the top of the coil. Now Im going to try and fix it but need to know if i can use a domed dustcap where the previous one was inverted. will it change the sound/performance alot? was planning to use it for an SPL project as this budget sub gets louder then my BL and can take the abuse. It cant take a direct hit from a remote though. would appreciate your imput.

need some help, building a box for two dc LL 4 15,s . I'm ready to install the ports but not sure how long to cut them. I'm using four four inch psp aero ports(only using flare on port exit)subs will be seeing 1000 watts RMS each my box volume after bracing is 7.49 cubes . the psp port calc is giving me 13.68 for a straight length and 14.68 for the flare length not sure which to use wanting tunning to be 33 Hz this will be a daily , not really going for straight spl but want good lows. could some one take a look at this and give me a push in the right direction thanks in advance.

What's peoples opinions on the HCCA's? I seen a website that sell's the 10's for $200 a pop I was thinking like 5 of those off a sundown 3500 would slap. (I'm debating on what to get for an SUV I don't even have yet lol)

I just got a 05 RE XXX off someone local and i took a DMM to it and got a weird reading. When wired together it reads 1.5 ohms but seperate one reads 2.0 ohms and the other is sitting @ 4.0 ohms. Would it be bad to run it at the 1.5 ohms? And how does something like that happen?

Hello all, Name is Chelsea (Andrew is my significant other) New here! We currently have a pair of RE Audio SX 18" subwoofers in a 10 cubic feet box after driver displacement, ported to around 35-40hz. They are powered by a Hifonics Brutus 2600 RMS Amplifier, it can only run at 1, 2 or 4 ohms. We will be modifying our box so it is raised about 5-7 inches wich will increase it to around 16 cubic feet, and we will be changing the port to preferably 29-30 hz. The RE Audio SX's that we currently have are D4 voice coils and we run our amplifier at 1ohm splitting the RMS between subwoofer's getting around 1300 RMS per SX. We can not do this with the Fi BTL's because they are D2…

I have an Atomic APX 818 motor (3" coil/ newer motor with a bumped backplate). Needs a recone, anyone ever reconed one with different parts than atomic? I'm looking to build either a 15" or 18" that would do well on 1200wrms daily on music.
