SO i start in tellin him about my Sexxx and he's like yea u know most people like to go online and find that cheap stuff and i'm like ok they cost 220$ and so he says i should have bought a memphis for like 88bucks or somethin and could have been jsut as loud WTF yea right dude(thats what i wanted to say) but i was cool about…

My 4x 12" baby Magnums are on their way... Not sure how I `m going to install them in the Vectra. I`m not bothered about Peak SPL and prefer to have a system that plays low frequencies very loud. I`m aiming for over 140dB @ 20Hz in a trunk / boot install. Should easily do it with an I.S.O. set up. Using 2x MMATTS amps. Each pair of subs will be getting about 1400wrms. (2800wrms) Photo`s when I get started. Got to finish the Escort 1st. Just like to thank "Sundown Audio" for all their help as well

Hi guys, i was wondering if you can give some suggestions for a sub that my friend could use with the info i got from him... - small maybe 10" or even 8" - musical sounding sub - can go loud abit i think? - good for sealed enclosures - good for 500W only or maybe less for efficiency - max of $300 if possible i think the reason for small is he plans to put in in the corner of the trunk. behind the tail lights. and if im not mistaken, he needs it for .7 or less cubes after displacement. he was thinking of putting flat subs/slim subs but i advised him to wait, and ill try to get more suggestions for i think slims subs output would not be enough for him, but if you can sugg…

I was on ca.com and saw a set of these for sale and I want to get them. But one of the tweeters is blown. Can I order a new set of tweeters from madisound or somewhere and hook them up to the pioneers passive crossover? Or would it sound bad because the crossover isn't made for those tweeters? I can't go active with them because I only have a 2 channel Sundown but for the price the guys asking I wanted to give these a shot.

I have a 2g wired the output my car, don't want to get a new alternator for subs so everything is stock other than the wires and 200a monster fuse. Getting a soundqubed 1200.1 and need hell choosing either 1 sunfown 12 SA or soundqubed hds 2 in a custom box and maybe an extra battery. Need to know which ones better or what's best for $600 for subs, box, wires, batter. Which would shake up my car? I plan on powering them 1000w or I was going to get 2 but if one in the right box would do temporarily id want to save money since I'm only keeping the car for 4-5 months more. What do you think

When did this happen? It looks like the website was just updated recently. Any chance there are some of the 'old' model ixl 10.2.2 and 12.2.2 with the lower FS kicking around to be purchased? With my application sealed is a lot easier (yes the recommended ported sizes are small, but you still have to get a port in there). I can't do 2.5cubes so the 15.2.2 is out of the question.

Hey guys, been a looong time. I've always been a noob and now I'm a noob that took a few years off so I'm also rusty, so any help is appreciated haha Currently, I'm in a 2008 Envoy. After having 2 systems stolen in the past, I'm trying to keep it as "stock looking" as possible. I'm going with this subthump box: http://subthump.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_19&products_id=65 Narrowed my sub choice down to the Sundown SD-2. Mounting depth is fine on either so that's not a concern, but volume is. Sundown's site reccomends .5 sealed for the 10 and 1.0 for the 12. This prefab box offers .81 sealed before displacement so it's right between the two. http://www.sundownaudi…

I was in reno staying at the silver legacy having fun lol and I placed an order with rusty not only did he making them quickly for me he also went out of his way and delivered them to my hotel which was hella cool since I dont know reno to well. He also played his system for me which was crazy loud and sounded incredibly clean. DC subs FTW.. These are some sick ass subs I cant wait to install them.

How do the Axis 15" stack up to the 15" BTL in terms of SPL running off a SAZ-3000? I never heard any of Audiopulse or any TC Sounds products I'm just curious and I know the BTL beats pretty hard.

I'm planing on building a new sub box and was wondering what would be the best way to get the mdf cut? Box will be 36" wide X 18" high X 16" deep I know I have to take 1.5" off some measurement but what would be the best way of doing it? I will be getting the mdf sheet cut at Home Depot. Thanks EDIT: Does this sound right" Front/back 36" X 18" top/bottom 36" X 14.5" sides 14.5" X 16.5" and the port is also 16.5" high I just having a hard picturing it in my head.

OK, so as some of ya know, Johnny Avarado is no longer with Powerbass. Johnny was the guy with the hookup for recones. Today I tried to get some XSD1 recones, & they said they knew they had the version 2 D2's no D1's , but will call me back if they can find any Version1 D1's. Also, they have recones for the ES subs, but they don't have any for the ES Double stack line......so I say, if you all compete with the powerbass subs, order up some recones NOW, weather you need them or not, otherwise you may not be able to get them. Some have said the Atomic AP recones will work NO THEY DON'T. the AP's are 2 1/2" VC the XS's are 3" on the 15's, I do not know about the 12's (Th…

Special thanks to Ryan for the box! I still have a lot of work to do. But so far I have one mag 12 in and am giving it about 400rms at 4 ohms. I will eventually have 2 12's with 1000rms going to each of them. I have a US Amps MD2 to power the subs. Here are some pictures for you all to see. Here is the Pioneer HU I recently installed. I will be getting the deh-880prs and putting that in as well. And here are some pictures of the car in case you are wondering what it looks like. And yes, the steering wheel is upside down and it drives me crazy everytime I look at that picture. I will keep everyone updated on my progress. Ben

Well, a midst everything else that's going on around here, subwoofer enclosure, engine replacement, four wheeler repairs (minor), and WORK, the components in my wife's van have all but completely given up the ghost. I do have to say they hung in there for WAY longer than she, I or anyone else would have ever dreamed but everything wears out eventually. They've gotten to the point where they will cut out at high volumes for a short period of time then come back on and it's any combination of the drivers that do it. Just the one tweeter, or maybe both tweeters, or maybe both mids and the tweeters keep going, or sometimes it's a tweeter and a mid on one side or the other.…

I have two 10w0-4's laying around and my buddy has a 21 Chris Craft with a crap ass stock stereo. I am going to "give" him my 10w0 to use so I have something to listen to in his boat. He has a RFPunch 301x (75w x 4 at 2ohm or 40x4 at 4). Currently we are going to bridge the back 2 channels for the subs and power the fronts off the other half of the amp. Hopefully he will give me some money to spend on a sub amp shortly thereafter. JL's rec'd ae for .75cuft sealed or 1.25 ported for a car. Without cabin gain would you use a different size. Also, wondering on what you might tune it to if it were me it would be real low, but output is more of a concern here and when y…

AA will stop licensing XBL^2 in response to a caustic public statement made by the owner of Adire. And their current stock is being sold at a significantly reduced rate. Read the announcement on their main site. http://www.ascendantaudio.com/

I am looking at getting a new woofer for my car. I will be running 4000 watts when i redo my system and was wondering if the LVL 4 XL will hold up to this amount of power or will i definitely have to look at the LVL 5? It will be used mainly for daily use with occasional spl use.
