Subwoofers / Speakers

I have 300 watts x2 @ 4 Ohms. So power won't be a problem. But I wanted a three way setup because I really want to fill that MIDBASS category if possible.

does anyone know if they will fit in the front doors using the 6x8 adapters? Depth is going to be the issue. I want good comps bc im not going to be able to have great subs in there. im pretty much decided on those or RF T1's

Hey guys, glad to be able to post here So this is going to be my first install and i have decided on the subs I want.. 2 FI Q 12" wich are rated at 1000 rms a piece but can go up to 1500 rms a piece with a addon wich I am getting. First of all Should I get the Dual 1 version or the Dual 2? second of all : What amp is good for this install? Right now Im thinking of a saz-2500d or AQ 2200D...any other recomendations? Which one shall I choose? I want to send around 1200 - 1500 TRUE rms to each sub so the amp will need to be tested and rated at around 2500 TRUE RMS muahah third : I need a high output alternator for my car: where do i buy this? Do i also need a second batter?…

Well, I finally blew this little sucker. Tough to believe, but this little $15 dollar driver actually sounded good and performed rather well in a minute .33cubes. I was intrigued by the design so I decided to tear it apart. Have a look. Motor removed. Can you believe this tiny thing is the driving force??!! Coil. It's a little burnt, but not much. It appears as if the winding has broken, but I can't tell for sure. All done.

I was wondering if some of you could compare/contrast these subs for me. I'm looking for SQ. I want to go with 12's, and I would probly go w/ 1 Fi Q if I were to take Fi's route. For the TREO's, Im thinking about the 2 12's in the hotbox. Any help? Thanks.

which series of fi subs are closest to the icons i seen a post on here some where and now i cant find it. someone was comparing the icons response with the bl's. i wana know if the icons are like the q's or bl's.

I have a sa8 in a 1.0cubic ft Ported box around 33-34hz the sub is 400 rms and I have a planet audio Tq1601d monoblock amp. I want to run it at 2 ohm but thats pushing 800rms. Do you guys think the sub can handle that power? I mean, gains down and careful tuning on my headunit the sub shouldn't be in danger right? At 4 ohms the amp pushes 500rms.

Howdy. I am in the market for a new sub to go in my Mazda 3. I have my eye on this Audio Integrations custom fit sub box to help claim back some trunk space, and hopefully not sacrifice a ton of sound. It has ~.7 cubic feet, available, and has 7" of mounting depth. I have about 700 x 1 watts rms @ 4 ohms to give the sub, and listen to all types of music (hip hop, rap, house/trance, metal, rock, etc). I am not looking for anything too crazy, but would like something that gives good bang for the buck. I see there are some good deals for black friday, and it got me thinking. Any suggestions?

I am wondering if I could power a pair at 4 ohms 1500 watts rms, I know the BM's rms is only 400 watts rms, but I am just wondering if this is at all possible if I am carefull with the gain and volume?

Hey everyone I'm looking for a system for my 1995 Ford f-150 single cab pickup and I was looking to get a single 10 in icon sub for it but I'm still undecided on what I want I was looking for something that would be more than enough for it but I'm not sure on everything I will need for it and was wondering if you all had some suggestions that would make it loud but also sound good.

I am looking at getting a new woofer for my car. I will be running 4000 watts when i redo my system and was wondering if the LVL 4 XL will hold up to this amount of power or will i definitely have to look at the LVL 5? It will be used mainly for daily use with occasional spl use.

Ok so i blew 2 alpine type r 12s dual 4 ohm ran at one ohm to a sae-1200d and now i am looking to replace them.... i have a 2002 grand prix and am looking into buying a 15... i was thinking a night shade or incriminator audio... maybe an xcon... i am looking for as loud as a woofer as poss. i have bout 500 dollors to work with... any sugestions are always welcomed

I'm in the final stages of planning out the system for my 97 Maxima. So far, I have 4 Sundown E8 woofers and a SAX-100.4 amp ordered to cover the midbass. Not purchased, but planned, is a SAZ-3000D running 2 Fi Q15's sealed. I want to run 2 of the E8's in the rear deck where the stock speakers are now and the other 2 E8's in the stock speaker locations in the front doors. The E8's will be powered by the 100.4 in a 4 channel 4ohm config so I can fade as needed for staging. That brings me to the topic of this post. Nick I would appreciated any feedbacks from you or the others. I have a 99 Accord with a cup holder that pulls down from the middle of the back seat and creates a tiny rectangular opening through the trunk. Is it advisable to face my D2s directly through this hole from the trunk through the little hole in the rear seats? They are charging me 500 for this type of install (fiberglass). Let me know if this is advisable. All I want is a tight and punchy bass.

At the moment i have a Kicker l7 12" running on a saz-2000D and I'm thinking about upgrading. This Setup is in a 97 Ford taurus Wagon i have space about 40X21(possibly 34if i sacrifice the entire cargo area). My budget is about 250-400. I'm just looking for something to take full advantage of this amp Thanks for the help! EDIT: Suggestions on which way i should point the ports and box demensions and all are welcome too. So I was bumping my ssd yesterday on my home stereo receiver and I cranked it up a little bit to let the sub move a little bit. I realized it was making noise and immediately turned it down. The noise was like a vibrating slap, its kinda hard to describe. The slap was only audible on certain frequencies. I was probably putting a good 100 or so watts to it and I guess my receiver started clipping it. Will clipping make your sub make a noise? If its not that I was thinking maybe bottoming out? I don't really know whats causing it but I'm hesitant to put it on 800 watts.

Special thanks to Ryan for the box! I still have a lot of work to do. But so far I have one mag 12 in and am giving it about 400rms at 4 ohms. I will eventually have 2 12's with 1000rms going to each of them. I have a US Amps MD2 to power the subs. Here are some pictures for you all to see. Here is the Pioneer HU I recently installed. I will be getting the deh-880prs and putting that in as well. And here are some pictures of the car in case you are wondering what it looks like. I am planning on running a single 12" sub to a precision power s2000.1 rated [email protected] want a sub that will be loud, hit had, have extreme lows...i want SQ as well as SPL, i want the best of both worlds combined overall.....so far i been looking at image dynamics idqv.3, ssa icon, Fi Q , re audio sxx, and jl w6v2 ...any help would be greatly appreciated thanks..also it is just for every day driving set up
