I recently picked up a 12" IA Death Row series for $80!! Unfortunetly I could not compare them sound-wise because the Death Row wouldn't fit in my enclosure's hole. SOO I figured I'd give you guys some pretty pictures to look at lol. The SI is a V1 Mag Claw w/ V3 softpart Recone, Enjoy! Vid of Mag off 240watt plate amp The Mag is heavier btw.

Which do you feel would be best? I have a Crescendo BC3500D to power it.

I've always been a fan of sealed boxes. I know alot of you are anti-sealed and also feel that sealed setups can't get loud, but I beg to differ. Which of these could get louder sealed? 2 IA Lethal Injections 12s 1 IA Death Row 15 1 SSA Xcon 15 2 SSA Icon 12s 2 DC Level 3 12s

I was wondering if some of you could compare/contrast these subs for me. I'm looking for SQ. I want to go with 12's, and I would probly go w/ 1 Fi Q if I were to take Fi's route. For the TREO's, Im thinking about the 2 12's in the hotbox. Any help? Thanks.

Well, I'm going to need some PA mids to blend with my crescendo supertweets. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-422 I'm looking at these, they are 8 ohms. My plan is to split the power of my rear two channels of my Arc Audio FD4.150. It's rated 160 per channel at 2 ohms. I currently have Type R 6x9s on them, and I wish them to remain on the channel. Assuming I hook up 2 of those Selenium mids + a type r 6x9 per channel, the amp will see a two ohm load correct? 1/(.125+.125+.25)=2. And each speaker will be receiving ~53 watts (of course not continuous) correct? This seems like it should work but I'm not positive...

i have a 2.3 cube ported box made of one layer of 3/4 mdf. it has no leaks, but i notice that the box vibrates a fair amount. would it make sense to dynamat the inside? or would this kill my sq?

Qms: 5.34 Qes: .36 Qts: .3363 xmax: .7" I'm looking at a Sonic sub box 2BA12 3.0 cu.ft. 2-4"ports in each enclosure ( I assume 1.5cu.ft per enclosure) Does this sound like a good box for these subs? How do I use these specs to tune the amp ( Hifonics 950W@1ohm, sub dual 1ohm coils will be wired in series then paralleled)? Would a sealed box be better? If so, how many cu.ft.?

Been looking through all the specs for the three. Well what specs their are for the Xcon. They all seem to be about equal in most aspects. What I'm looking for is a sub that can handle my Sundown 1500d daily, sounds good, will get loud when asked. Looking at the 12" or 15" models due to hight limitations in my car. Have up 3cft to work with. If you can think of another sub that will fit the bill throw it in the mix. This is for a 2005 Focus hatchback. I have a Kinetic 1800 under the hood with the big 3 done, 1/0 to the back and a second 1800. Sundown 1500d, 125.2, and 50.4. My enclosure engineer keeps on insisting to make it 1.25 cubes. Couldn't break every1's advise here to go 1.5 after displacement. WTF is he recommending 1.25? This fukker is also not concerned about the thickness of the MDF, I cant remember how many times I reminded him to make it 3/4" inch. How thick are they usually? If it requires trimming to make it 3/4" of an inch, that f00ker probably wont even bother. =\ I think Ill get another one from Gnome. What is his site's URL?

I was looking at subs at Partsexpress and I saw this. I didn't know who the original manufacturer was but I was hoping you guys might be able to guess. Does parts express have a good reputation (as in, was this really a 550 sub?) My guess would be maybe one the earliest Brahmas, but who knows. alright i pretty much decided to go with 6 12's in a wall in the truck. should i roll with the T3 T600's, AQ sdc2.5's or SA 12's? i cant decide, ive already got 2 sa 12's, but the T600's can be had for 116 shipped each! subs will be run with 3 AP 1500s. one per pair. box space is limited to about 10 cu ft max after displacement.

i am planning on getting a 12" 2ohm dvc lethal injection and the buy is claiming that wired in paralell it will run at 1 ohm and be able to handle 1000watts rms. is this true?

been browsing some more known sites known for their technicality and knowledge instead of CA Forum Flame fests. i need some suggestions on which dedicated 7" midbass drivers work best in IB enclosures when installed in properly deadened doors. im looking to spend up to 250$ for the 2 drivers. and the size cant exceed 7", i plan on high passing the midbasses around 65hz - 70hz with a high 24 db slope. and playing them up to 300hz where my cdt hd 4" will take it from there. Will be feeding up to 125 - 130 watts at 4 ohms from a 100.2 sundown amp. I need some driver suggestions but as of now, i hear the following are some respectable drivers. So, I'm been itching to build. But I still cant come up with a good design for the Uberwoofer for HT use. By HT use, I mean an F3 <25 and a lowpass ~40. Action movies. heh. Any way you slice it, no more then 600rms to throw at her. Thinking BIG Ported (although it's not easy to hide in a liviing room). 6.0ft^3 net, (3) 4" aeroports, tuned to 20hz. Gives me a nice knoll around 30-50hz, flat ~25 - 30, and an F3 around 18. -or- Maybe a dub tuned BP? 6ft one side, 2ft the other... small peak from 22-30 then steep roll off till 42ish on the high side and a low end f3 of 19ish. -or- A... nah, I dont have room to make a proper horn. Hey everyone. I came across this forum through caraudio.com and thought i would try to get some help here. Just like the title says...I have an AA Avalanche in that box right now with 1000 watts and it's just not loud enough. My budget is about 300 (cheaper the better). I have an eD nine.1 to power so i can give it 1200 clean watts at 1 ohm, and i would like to use the same box. I know it is tuned more for SQ but it is still a decent size. I was looking at the Fi BL, SI Mag, and TC-3000 (although that one cannot be wired to 1 ohm). The BL and Mag are really intriguing me after doing some research... (Also, where can i get Mags and how much? I can't seem to find that info …

im getin ready to buy an amp for my front stage but i figured i do some research on an active system. first off what i have now is a sony cdx gt310 with the ipod control. (im thinking only having 1 preamp output is a problem) polk db1000 tweeter, db525 5-1/4" coaxils, db690 in the rear deck, kenwood excelon x10d runing a 12" aa arsenal. i was thinking a 2way front stage would be best. i could fab a 6"~ woofer in the door and use the polk tweeters. what are some good products and what will i need to pull this off? i dont want to spend alot on this upgrade, it more of about learning how it works then buying 500$ worth of equipment to show up my friends.

i want to get orion h2's, but i dont know what size/what amps/how many/etc.? i was talkin to denim about it and he said to talk to hccafan about it cause he knows alot about orion. i was thinkin either 3 12's or 2 15's but i dont need to give each sub 2000 watts rms, i was thinkin maybe 1000 each on the 3 12's or 1500-2000 on the 2 15's. thanks.
