I need a capable speaker I can put in my door, 6.5-8" That I can use in the stock Deville location. Will be crossed over active 80-2100ish 4th order on the high pass to a Morel MDT-12 in the a-pillar. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=277-060 Amplifier is a sundown 4100D and will be fully active using Audiocontrol or zapco x-over eq setup. I was thinking of either the Vifa P21wo-20 or something similar. I absolutely love the smoothness of the Vifa midrangers, and would like an input if somebody has something maybe a little better application wise in mind. I don't know if I can sink a 8"er in the door yet but i'll be measuring here shortly to figure out…

I looking at putting 4 sa 8's under seat in 99 silverado. I have 2 10's RF T1d4's in there right now in sealed box. Would I gain anything by putting 4 8's in there? I'm running a RF T10001 at 1 ohms . I would probably need more power but if it won't improve or get louder then I'll just keep what I have. I have about 2 cu ft of air space I think , it may be a little more. Just need some opinions. Thanks

Ive heard alot about magnums and re subs. I wanted to know if the 12" magnums will be a better sub for spl over the 12" re sx.

ok so I'm trying to decide between the RE se 10's or FI ssd 10's using a fosgate 100001bd 1400 watts rms @1 ohm they will go in a sealed box in my 03 silverado ext cab under rear seat firing forward I have heard the RE subs but have not heard the FI but i here good things so any ideas? the box will be 2.4 cu. ft. total so 1.2 per sub

Alright, well i saw a local add up, and look what i ended up getting! BTL N2 18" Picked it up used for $380. Looked pretty good in shape, im not going to be picky because Fi subs are very few up where i live. The only real 'damage' that i saw was the surround was a little bit frayed, but not too much. Here's a picture of it. Anyways! Im stoked. Somebody local has a Soundstream TDX2000D for sale so im pretty sure ill be picking that up to power this baby. All i need is my box design and i should be murdering my Impala.

think ive finally got my system planned out should have money to buy within the next few months, here it is idctx65cs cadence fxa-4060 200.2 bridged cadence fxa-1700 700.1 which sub would give me the best blend of sq and output off of 700w?

so yeah, if this is a really stupid idea, ill prob put some bolts through my box for terminals, what type of finish should they be? zinc, stainless? anybody have a pic of theirs? thanks

my friend is looking to upgrade his mids and tweeters in his car, and the only green speakers he have ever seen, he's just wondering if anyone has heard of them and if they are any good, and if there not good, if anyone has an alternative speaker company they know with green accents on the speakers or grills

Okay guys, I hear you all talk about active and passive front stages all the time, but I don't know the difference between the two. I am tired of not knowing and finally worked up the courage to ask. I hope I'm not made fun of or anything for it!

I have Hertz ESK-165.5 components sets in my car. I have my tweeters on -2 on the crossovers, but when there are "S's" and sometimes "F's" they seem very harsh. Everything else sounds fantastic though. Do you know the frequencies so I can turn them down a little? Or is there another way to fix this? Thanks.

Alright well I have a very low budget for all door speakers and some bass... I definatley need the 5.25 door speakers. And I can't decide to either get 2 12s and leave my 6x9s out so it's just holes there. Or should I amp a set of 6x9s and no subs? My budget it around 400 for everything, speakers wires amps everything... It's all going in a 98 olds mobile alero. Thanks for any help you can give!

I hope I can get some help here. I hooked up my SI 302 components tonight. They are in their temporary location until I figure out the best spot for the best sound. They are currently located where the stock speaks would go on my door of my 1999 Olds Alero. There are no door panels on currently. The mids are mounted pretty well onto a double MDF baffle that is 1.5" thick. The doors are as sealed as I could possibly get. They have a layer of liquid sound deadening on the inside of the door cavity and the skin of the door. Over this is a layer of mat type deadening. They are being run off of the bridged front and rear channels of a Memphis Belle. Now my dilemma. …

I have 2 mags 15" that is about to be installed in my explorer. Each mag is going to be fed by a hifonics 1500. What kind of box should I build for these two sub? How big and what should it be tuned to. I listen to rap mostly so I was thinking 35 hz but how big should I make it?

I was looking at getting a SS RLP 18 but I came across a good deal on one 15" REVO and would buy another. My question is are they good for a daily loud setup? I have done SPL subs in the past but want a low end monster now that is loud to the ear doesn't matter about a meter we don't have any compitions here anyway. Would they work good?

trying to figure out what went wrong with my brother sub. box is 3.85 cubes net turned to 30 hz. I have a '17 Challenger I want to add some bass to as I only have the 6-speaker factory Alpine system with no subs. I'm back and forth with what I want to run as far as sub stage and need some advice. The goal is for good SQ while still getting a little SPL. I have a little over 2 cubes max in the trunk, but I'd rather use less than that. I also want a lightweight setup as I'm looking to have a birch enclosure made for it and would want the smallest setup possible that fits my goals. I wanted to try a ported single 8" but can't seem to find any good examples in trunk setups which makes me think it wouldn't be worth it, and just step up to a 10". I have about 900…

I'm about to redo my small trunk setup (G35 Coupe), and I am going to be putting in two 10" subs ported to try to maximize output in my small space (3-3.5^3 ft). Right now I have an Orion h2.12.2 to last me until I am finished with my new project. The amp is a US Amps MD.3D (06 model), and the subs that are highest on my list right now are the Sound Splinter rl-i's or similar. I know there are probably subs that would better fit my needs, but I just cant think of them right now. Price isn't too much of an issue if the sub is actually worth the price. I might even break down and get some W7's if they end up being the best for the money.

So I'm going to be in that area in 2-3 weeks - picking up a boat I purchased in Cottage Grove. Figure I would camp out in St. Cloud since it is north of Minneapolis, which means easy driving from there. Would love to hitch up with a few folks in the area. Might bring down a couple of goodies.. Well i got my system together ( needs some minor adjustments here and there). Running a jvc KD-avx77 to my kicker zx750.1 amp, and to my Fi SSD12 with copper coil option. I wired it in parallel but then my amp went into protection mode and i didnt even really turn up the gain much. Should I wire it in series? My sub has the DVC option

Has anyone ever use speaker baffles for their door speakers and did you notice an improvement in sq?

HDC4 15.. Yes I know coil smell is not good at all but I am breaking these subs in with power now.. I first broke them in for a week with a nendo 2k at 20hz half power.. They are now on a CT sounds 7k. The amp is DD1'd and the subs bang really hard.. But I am smelling coil smell when i am at the DD1 max volume set. after a few minutes.. I back down the volume as soon as I smell it and have recently turned the gain down a bit more.. Just curious how long I will smell this during the subs break in period.. They are wired @1ohm also.. so I know I am not overpowering the subs at all.. There is barely 3k going to them.. Opinions?

I really wana see some mags in action. ANY where in michigan is fine. With in 200 miles, i wana see them in action before i buy them im very indicisive with my money, if you live any where near TC michigan, which is up north on the lower p, let me know.
