ok im new here.... i have a 2006 nissan maxima first i was lookin at 2 13w7s...then 2 kicker 15 L7s but now i have been put on 2 15" SI Mags... i juss dont no very much about these subs if i was to buy these where could i install them? at any regular audio shop? because i no im not goin to do it myself. thanks i appreciate it!

I am asking this for a co worker of mine wanting to get a single 12 Skar Audio VVW12. It is rated at 600RMS and I know it can take more power easily. Now my question is that he has a all JL setup and has 2 12 W0's in a JL ported box. That box is huge and doesn't sound to good to me. I would like to replace it with a single Skar and run it off his JL J2 500.1 amp. It is rated at 500RMS @2ohms. Will this be enough power to use with the Skar? He is doing this because in his 2006 4DR Civic the other box is taking up all his space, I am thinking being custom built box the single sub will be less space and sound alot better. okay i was thinking about getting rid of my 6.5" SLC comp set for a pair of these. http://www.creativesound.ca/index.html it says flat 65hz - 20khz. its gona take up a lot less space in my car, and im prolly gonna fiber these and port them to 62hz or so to bring up that midbass freq. will this actually play down to 65hz? 80 even?

It finally came this morning from Mr. UPS himself. I got that and a new box today. I have a custom ported box with dual ports tuned to 30Hz. I hooked it all up to my rockford p1000bd and I couldn't get the rca cables to reach so i gave it a slight tug and ripped the cables. So I just took the rca's off my speaker amp and hooked it up that way, didn't know what to expect, it is in a trans am. I turned the gains half way up and just stared at it for a while lol. Have a question about which voice coils to go with, dual 1ohm or dual 2 ohm? The dual 2ohm will give me a 1ohm load which is 1200wRMS from the 1200d while dual 1 ohm will give me a 2ohm load which is 870wrms. The sub is "rated" at 1000wrms but I have watched a bunch of videos and alot of people have written about giving them alot more power. So my question: Do I play it safe and go with the 870wrms or can this sub handle the 1200wrms without being damaged? Thank you.

i just moved my 2 mtx 9500 into a 05 sentra spec V... i have the 1000 watt rms mtx amp on it at 2 oms, and a 6 farad power accoustic power cap... when i start to pound them after then get so loud, they dont distourt but they just wont get any louder do yall think i should get a second amp to help push these things? The amp is a mono block, but has dual outputs... wouldnt that make it 500 watts rms coming out of each output? i imagine they can get alot louder if i did. and also, even with that 6 farad cap, im still diming out my lights but the digital readout on the cap is saying the battery is still putting out a lil over 12 volts... any ideas?

well i got a alpine R type last year model 12" but there is a crackly sound coming from it when it hits it goes with the music but it crackles, if i called alpine could they do something about it? i bought it a week ago from ultimate electronics. but htey are all closed in texas.

Hello all. Looking for input and opinions on which subwoofer would be the better choice, (ICON or DC LVL 3) for my scenario and for longevity. I have managed to destroy 2 Fosgate T1 15D2's in less then 2 years. Think it is time to find something of better quality or can handle my music/listening style better. My cousin is telling me of some subs he is trying to get rid of. He dosent have any pictures of them but all he says is that they are competition subs and they have a red C on the cone. Now whether or not they are competition is totally speculation. But I just wanted to know which sub company uses a red "C" for their logo on subs? Thanks in advance ~MadroX

Over the past few days I've noticed my dcons bass excursion decline at random times and now it is at stable very low volume compared to how it used to sound. I've only been using it for a bout a year running on a crescendo 1000c4, it used to sound badass and shook my whole car up now its just a dull rumble. I don't think I blew it out because I've been running it at the correct wattage thru my amp and had it professionally installed and thought SSA was known for it quality woofers. can someone please help me out?

I have a 4 channel amplifier, that's 2ohm stable when bridged. It gives out 4x140 @ 4 ohm and 2 x 360W @ 4 ohm. I'm going to use his amplifier to run a front stage and a small subwoofer in the rear. Is it possible to use one 4 ohm DVC subwoofer and connect each coil to their own speaker terminal? Would the result be the same if I just bridged two of amplifier termials and wired the subwoofer to 8 ohm?

What is a better SQ (In your opinion) sub, Fi audio Q12, or TC-9, Tc-2000, All using memphis 16-PRD 1000.1, in a 2.25 cft ported box tuned to 32 Hz, all using the same every thing. i know this will vary greatly from vehicle to vehicle, but is there a general rule of thumb for sub/port placement as far as trunked cars being the loudest? i've always had setups in suv's, which usually take better to sub up, port back configurations. i have a 99 subaru impreza RS, and was wondering what would give me the best output as far as which way the sub fires, and which way the port fires. give me any, and all of your input. personal experience, theories, etc...

I had a 12" Fi BTL off a 2500D Soundstream Rubicon in my previous car. It sounded great, but got used to that. Now looking to upgrade. Did a cardboard mock-up in my new car (2005 Civic) and trying to decide what subs to go with. I'm looking for a lot of air movement, hitting deep, and sounding clean. Was thinking 2 x Fi Q 15's. What do you think? Would like to keep total power of both subs combined under 2000RMS. Dimensions, minus the angle..Looks to be about 3.5cuft per sub after displacement. Quick question, when I move the port to the middle would I have 14" of length on each side or 7" on each side per sub? Layout will be like this, common chamber.
