So after finding out I burned up one of my zv4 leads (probably because of clipping), I decided to throw my mayhem back in. Voltage was dropping to 14.0 from 14.9 max, so I knew something was wrong. Mayhem was working fine when I took it out a year ago when I got the zv4. They were ordered with D2 coils. How did this happen? I cant imagine it was from clipping as well.

I just bought a pair of JBL P650C Components and im not sure if i hooked them up right , they play but when i get to about half volume they distort some

I have a 2010 silverado. I currently have 2 10" cvt in a Probox but I'm looking for something much louder and especially DEEPER. Looking for atleast 12s. I know a guy that makes custom boxes so i mighy be able to fit 13.5. Money is not a factor. also if you could link me to amps that push is great that would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

going in sealed box for daily bumpage, looking for a mix of sq and spl. the amp is an MA audio m1889i rated at 800 rms at 2 ohms. I can get the subs for similar prices. which would you choose and why?

I am looking for a loud and clean pair of 6.5 components for between 200 and 300. Does anyone have any suggestions? I plan on throwing about 100 watts to them or more if they require.

I'm doing some planning in here...hopefully in a month or so I can pickup one of the new Eclipse head units and some speakers. The only thing I've dealt with before is a set of MBQuart speakers(RSD-216 RKC-116) and an MTX amp. I don't want to take up ANY room in my trunk as nearly 1/2 will be gone with my sub. So that means no more amps at all period. Unless you guys can tell me that I could mount it under my seat or something but even then I dunno as it does cost more money. I've been looking at the DC lvl 3 12'' subs but I'm not sure what I should get, I'm a complete noob to this stuff. I'm going to power the sub(s) with either a sundown SAZ-1500 or SAE-1200 Going in the trunk of my 02 mazda protege sedan. I like to listen to a lot of metal and rock music. I've heard sealed boxes are better for fast double bass, but I've also heard that a good ported box can handle double bass as well. Others say the bass will blend together in a ported box... what do you guys think? is the dc lvl 3 the best sub for my money?

i was wondering what subs would be the best for loudness and i am looking at the these three subs: 2 12" Fi Bl, 2 12"kicker L7, or 2 12" jl audio w3v2 which one would sound the best and i am willing to build my own box and im going to buy a sub that will power whatever sub i buy

The specs and design for the DC Sound Lab LFB-2k are exactly the same as the Batcap 2000 and the price is too. So my questions is, are these the same? I've been looking at The Batcap 2000 for a while, so perhaps someone may persuade me towards a DC Sound Lab.

OK, so as some of ya know, Johnny Avarado is no longer with Powerbass. Johnny was the guy with the hookup for recones. Today I tried to get some XSD1 recones, & they said they knew they had the version 2 D2's no D1's , but will call me back if they can find any Version1 D1's. Also, they have recones for the ES subs, but they don't have any for the ES Double stack line......so I say, if you all compete with the powerbass subs, order up some recones NOW, weather you need them or not, otherwise you may not be able to get them. In terms of loudness, in a ported box tuned to 34 Hz, which would be louder? Mach5 IXL 10 or RE SX 10"? I know the Mach5 is cheaper, and can fit in a tighter box but I hate that it comes in Dual 2 Ohm. I wish it were Dual 4's. I've seen a review here where the Mach5 SPL got metered and was fairly high with the RE MT. If there's someone here who has heard both(IXL 10" & RE SX 10") please answer.

a local shop has a brahma laying around never used except for caraudio.com mag testing and they want 4 bills for it...is it worth it? and what are your opinions on these. and they also carry USD audio. has anyone ever heard of/used these??

So for the ones who read my previous thread, unfortunately, the guy sold the 2 MMATS and Im left with my single 12 pioneer. I been looking for some time already to replace my sub. I came to the conclusion that Im better off going with 2 12s rather than a single 15 since I will have more cone area. The three options that catch my attention are IB3, X and DCON. Yes, Im on a budget. And that is $300 shipped, no more than that. (as thats was what I was originally gonna spend on the MMATS subwoofers that I was offered). I got 2 18" Level 4 XL's. I was in reno staying at the silver legacy having fun lol and I placed an order with rusty not only did he making them quickly for me he also went out of his way and delivered them to my hotel which was hella cool since I dont know reno to well. He also played his system for me which was crazy loud and sounded incredibly clean. DC subs FTW.. These are some sick ass subs I cant wait to install them.

12" Kicker CVX12D2 750W factory renewed or Power Acoustik MOFO-12 1200W(probably overrated) new for same price. Obvously Kickers are better subs, can factory renwewed be trusted for quality and longevity. Don't knnow why they say renewed and not refurbished, that kinda scares me.

does anyone know if they will fit in the front doors using the 6x8 adapters? Depth is going to be the issue. I want good comps bc im not going to be able to have great subs in there. im pretty much decided on those or RF T1's

Hey guys, glad to be able to post here So this is going to be my first install and i have decided on the subs I want.. 2 FI Q 12" wich are rated at 1000 rms a piece but can go up to 1500 rms a piece with a addon wich I am getting. First of all Should I get the Dual 1 version or the Dual 2? second of all : What amp is good for this install? Right now Im thinking of a saz-2500d or AQ 2200D...any other recomendations? Which one shall I choose? I want to send around 1200 - 1500 TRUE rms to each sub so the amp will need to be tested and rated at around 2500 TRUE RMS muahah third : I need a high output alternator for my car: where do i buy this? Do i also need a second batter?…
