I am planning on running a single 12" sub to a precision power s2000.1 rated [email protected] want a sub that will be loud, hit had, have extreme lows...i want SQ as well as SPL, i want the best of both worlds combined overall.....so far i been looking at image dynamics idqv.3, ssa icon, Fi Q , re audio sxx, and jl w6v2 ...any help would be greatly appreciated thanks..also it is just for every day driving set up

i have a rlp 15 in a 3.5 cube box tunned at 37 with 50.25 square inches of port area. how much power can i throw at it? any advice is appreciated

As in the title i really want sq and spl since i only will have one 8. it will be ported in the trunk running off 500w

i have a 12" solox pushed by titan 1500, sounds ok, i did 148db outlaw on audiocontrol.. the sub magnet is facing out of box, for looks, ALOT of people say that u will lose db.... how much db do u guys think u loose db with sub upside down.

Can anyone give me info on the 12" bl's dual twos? What kind of max cottage for a burp at half ohm, break in time, etc. Plz help!!!!

It's time for something new, and I'm thinking that I'd be better off buying a pair of more efficient, daily oriented 18's than buying a second 9518g and underpowering it with 2k each. My amp is a Memphis 4kw, and I'm looking for a pair of 18's along the lines of a Level 4 XL, Death Penaltys, Fi BLs, Nightshades... something like that. I don't compete, so I just want loud to the ear. How would these type of subs compare to a pair of 9518g's on only 2k each, and does anyone know of someone selling 1 or 2 of these 18's?

I have a 2003 Saab 9-3 and it come with the factory 7 Speakers. These speakers are 3 3.5in on the Dash (left, center, and right). I have 6.75 in the front doors and 4in in the rear deck. I am looking at a few different brands and was wondering if you could help me out. Even more so i am looking at possibly using 2 different brands. I am looking at a Focal Access 3 way component system and i would like to place all these components into the front door. Hi guys.. I have been working away feverishly on my car to make it seriously custom.. And its nearly there.. couple of minor touch ups needed from where there were small runs, but you can probably see how far its come from the pics I have painted it with Holographic Micro pearl flake, which shifts from orange to green or not at all depending on the light angle. as i said earlier i was gunna give a review of these corectly when i got a worthy amp. well i decided to swap them into by dads truck. still no crossover so i just eq'd the lowend out as i liked. and they were running free air. ill be making kickpannels soon so lowend should dramatically improve and it will be safer to try low end hehe. the amp was a 50x4 alpine so each morel was getting 50 watts i played a variation of soft/hard rock song. evanesence, van halen, trapt, nicklback, disturbed, stained. afyter messing with the 3 band eq( yes only 3 band) i thought holy **** ! they were so bright, so clear. not a hint of distortion. absolutley mind boggling. i was seriously d…

what is the differance in a Double Stack or Tripple Stack sub ??? how does it affect the preformalce ?

would i be better off gettin 8 AUDIOPIPE TSAR10 10"s on one ap3000.1 at 2 ohms or should i get one aq hdc3 18-a on 2 ap3000.1s the ap3000.1s are rated for 2 ohm stable but i used to run one on .6 ohms daly on a solo x 18 so im sure it would be fine at a little over 1 ohm the audiopipes would be sealed and the 18 would be in a custom built aero port box.. which setup would be better for spl at the headrest thanks in advance

First, let me just say that I don’t know much about car audio. 95% of people on here would put me to shame so forgive me if what I’m asking is impossible. But I do know a fair bit about audio in general since I do a little mixing music on the side. So here’s what I’ve been recently thinking about… I have a system, with ONE 12” Eclipse Titanium in a ported box tuned to about 30hz. My sub hits the lows real good up until around 60hz, but doesn’t pick up anything above that. Check this link to hear what my system picks up (it’s a clip of a song that I filtered the music out of and just left the bass that my sub picks up…you may not be able to hear it on your computer speaker…

ok guys heres the deal i was thinking of trying to go to some localish iasca competitions. i have never competed before and was wondering for the first class its 1-160 sq in. so my basic question is do i want 1 12inch zcon (113.4 sq in.) or should i go with 2 10 inch xcons (157sq in.) my thought is with the 2 10 inch xcons (1 ohm) on a saz3500 both would be in the biggest box that will fit my trunk tuned to 34hz all the math works out but i just wanted to know if i was on the right track before i spend like 2 grand then have it be the wrong set up to compete. any input would be nice but if you are /was in this class tips would help any more info needed just ask (sorry …

How do the Axis 15" stack up to the 15" BTL in terms of SPL running off a SAZ-3000? I never heard any of Audiopulse or any TC Sounds products I'm just curious and I know the BTL beats pretty hard.

Hey Mark, I still haven't used my SPL-12s that you sold me about a year or more ago. Haha. I remember you mentioning something about the SPL-12s popping the dustcap off when they are pushed? You said drill holes in the dust cap, I can do that carefully, but is there a specific pattern or anything like that? I want to make it look neat, not look like somebody attacked my subs with a drill, haha. I'm not sure how far I'm going to push these, this is just for reference.

As most of you know I unloaded my xcons below tuning and did some damage. Only one had visible damage and I corrected that with some devcon epoxy. Now that they are both back in and playing my wife and I both agree that they have lost output. Is this possible? Could I have done enough non visible damage to the soft parts that they would lose noticeable output? I assumed they might be a little sloppy now from stressing the spiders, but to lose output? Thanks in advance.

I am getting a new 2001 mustang soon and looking into a new system to put in it. I measured and the largest box i could possibly fit into the trunk is 15x28x38. Somewhere suggested 2 SDC2.512-D4 and a AQ1200D which would run me a little under 600.I would like to be able to hit lows pretty good if possible. I was just wondering if this would work or if there is anything else that would be a better fit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
