I just got a Fi Q12, running 1000watts from a memphis 16-PRD, and i really need new front speakers, from the stocks. Since the bass is so powerful, i need something that will blend well with the sub. I have a 2007 honda accord V6 EX-L. I am looking for a set up that will sound fluent and smooth with the sub. I am looking to spend around $400 for an amp and a pair of speaker. Do i need anything else to get the front speakers working, (Rewiring, new cables, anything?). because i am on a budget and i really want my setup to sound good.

Ok, let me start by saying I don't know chit about active, passive, crossovers, etc. I'm looking to get a new highs setup. I have a set of cadence components which I guess would be passive. I have a singlecab silverado so I was kinda thinking about losing the rear speakers completely and running just the front. Im guessing active would be the best way to go. What do I need to do this? I plan on getting 2 mli-65's to start and a good four-channel amp. The HU i have now is a pioneer premier DEH6800MP. From what i've read, I dont think this HU is that great when it comes to the audio settings. I'm debating on replacing the pioneer with an eclipse cd5000 but what do you g…

Which one would have the most output for daily in a 3 12, common chamber slot port tuned to 32 hz? Im mainly looking for something that will get loud and low and still sound moderately decent. My amplifier is a saz-3000d so im looking for 3 12's in the 1000 + watts range. Anyone have experience with the two? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

So i blew my morel supremo's.. 440$. Nice. Anyway what other tweeters are out there that sound great but are cheaper. I was on madisound and was looking at other morel drivers. The tweeters are so much cheaper then what i paid for these supremo's. I still want to get them but they are expensive and now i am questioning if they are worth it. Any tweeter recommendations would be appreciated. I am running a pioneer 9800 headunit off a sundown 100.4 amp. My mids are SEA excel's.

I plan on going with some 8's, and due to the sundown e8 shortage, I have to change up my choice of subs. Here are my conditions: Sealed- no more than .3 cu per sub power handling of 250 RMS minimum Price must be 115 or less shipped per sub. Mounting depth of no more than 4 3/4 inches(this is important) These are the subs on my short list, please post your first hand listening impressions only, no "oh those suck, because all of that brand sucks" Kicker solo classic 8( the brand new ones)- really curious about these Kicker 08s8L5- I dont want to join the "me too" crowd, but I'll run them if they are my best choice Polk MM840 - The new MM series, NOT the old MOMO. Well im just starting to learn about the car audio scene...i have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee stock and trying to find the best setup i can get for under a grand for just the sub and amp...hopefully without having to upgrade the electrical alot... i think it would be best to go wit a single sub instead of spending more on 2 subs and cheaper amp...figured better amp would be worth it in the long run..so either looking for one 12" or a 15" sub, space ain't a issue...i mainly listen to rap and r&b...basicly im looking to get a nice clear sub that has plenty of bass wen i want it, not looking for SPL just a good quality daily driver...probally going to go with a ported box also.…

Vehicle is a 2004 lincoln aviator. I want components that will fit in stock locations for all four doors. The setup is a pioneer 3800 head unit, fi bl 15 in 4 cubes ported at 32, T1000-1bdcp. I need components that will fit the doors (tweeters I can mount anywhere) that will give me decent coverage. I'd prefer to not drop a ton on the speakers overall, maybe $400 total. I'm going with either a punch or power 4 channel for the mid amp.

  16. Hello all. Need some assistance. I have a 2011 Lexus GX 460 with Mark Levinson sound system. The system sounds great except for the sub.I have pulled off the back panel and reveled that the factory was a 10" sub. I currently own a Alpine PDX 600.1 I will put that behind the panel and will replace the sub run a LOC. I checked the factory sub and it was 8 ohm surprisingly but know if I replace and wire up a replacement sub it will not give me what I am looking for. I previously had my PDX 600.1 running a JL Audio 10-3v3 it does not fit its around 6" mount depth. That sub in a small sealed box rocked and am looking for something similar in the factory location. I migh…

My birthday is in July and I'm trying to decide what to do with the money I get (yes, I'm 30 years old and still get money ). I do know that I want to upgrade sub/subs, but I'm not quite sure which way to go. Budget will be between $200-$250. Not sure if I could swing $300, but it's a possibility. I've got 600 @ 2 ohms to work with. The main thing is I'd like to keep the box size down as much as possible. I don't want to go over 2 cubes total, and even that's pushing it. So, I'm thinking either 2 8's or 10's in a small sealed box, or a single 10" or 12" ported. I'd love to try a 15" since I've never run one before, but I don't want to choke it down into too small…

Alright peeps its almost rebuild time in the work truck. If you dont know, im running 4 sa8s on a saz3k @1 ohm in 2.2 cubes @35 hz. it sound pretty loud but im just not satisfied. I want it louder. I have about 2.5 cubes to use but im limited to the 4 8s or 2 10s because of height restrictions. any suggestions?? Im thinking maybe 2 Nightshade v2 10s on a saz3k or maybe even 6k if needed as i have a few saz3ks stashed away. Dose anyone make a louder 10 that would work in my space? im pretty sure i have the loudest 8s out there. any thought?

ok. right now i currently have 2 12 inch PG xs series subs that hit pretty hard. but, i want MORE. in feb-march, im thinking im gonna re-do the sub part of my system, so im looking for suggestions as to what brands i should look at. i do want to compete, but, correct me if im wrong, but if you have 15 inchers your in a different class right? i would want to stick with eather 2 or 4 12's, or possibly 2 15's if i can get some killer LSQ/spl from them. these subs would be daily drivers, but not turned all the way up. thanks for all the replys!

ok so right now iv got a 12" fi bl in a 2.5 cuft box tuned to 33hz. so my next move is to either get one more bl and wire my aq2200 to 1ohm or sell me bl and get a 15" btl. My question is would the btl be a significantly amount louder? is it a huge step up from the 12" bl or would i just be better off getting another bl. im going to be getting a 180a hp dc alt with big 3 done and a kinetik hc1400 under the hood. i will have the electrical for 2200 watts but what would be the smarter option mostly going for a lil louder, i love 1 sub setups and it would be easier to get 1 btl and a single box then another bl and buy a dual 12" box. Thanks in advance Bassheads

I have a set of alpine type x 6.5 comps in my car right now. I like the sound of them, but they dont handle quite enough power to get the loudness I want. I am considering either the boston z6's or the diamond d971's- both on ebay ~500 shipped. Has anybody out there heard these 2 sets of speakers to do a comparo? I would do a listen myself, but I dont really want to drive 4 hours to get to a shop that carries high end like that. I have had boston before and loved the sound( pro's and the old rally's). I have heard very good things about the diamonds but never actually heard any. As I said I like the sound of the alpine's, but would like a little more brightness on the twe…

Hey guys i'm looking for a set of components. With the $500 im playin around with, I figure I can buy a new sub amp, probobally a viper 1200.1 for my subs. I will use my 300 wRMS x2 amp to power some components, which seems like a lot but i think I could get by with gains set low. do u guys think thats safe? anyway my budget for comps is less than $200. I will be installing the mids in my doors, imaging isnt a major concern for me, and I cant build kicks anyway. I'm pretty sure I will do some sound deadening, so I need comps that will do well infinite baffle. midbass is pretty important to me, and I can't stand harsh-sounding tweets, so I guess that means a silk tweeter i…
