i have a single Powerbase XS 15 coming and want to make a box for it but have no idea where to start. It will powered by an XTR Pro 2400 going in the trunk of an 02 Grand Prix. on the site it says for 4.5 cu. ft. internal, and a slot port of 36 sq. in. x 15" long. Does that 4.5 cube internal space include the port area, or do you have to figure that in too? That is for the recommended tuning of 34 hz. Also, would it be benefical at all for to tune a little lower, i was thinking maybe 31-32ish, i wanted it be able to play low also... It will be for daily driving, no comps at all, i just want it to sound good and get pretty loud also. Thanks, any help is appreciated. If an…

I'm looking to downsize in the trunk of my 03 civic 4dr. Right now I have 1 15"TC2000 in a 3.2cf @32hz powered by an Alpine PDX 1.1000. Honestly, I could stand to lose a little output. So my question is how does 3 10lvl2 sealed vs. 2 10lvl3 ported compare in terms of output, upper bass freq, & lower bass freq? Also, would both of these setups be a BIG step down to my current one? Thankyou.

Well, Im new here so why not annoy all the old timers with the question of what should I buy. The basics: 2006 Hyundai sonata - large trunk, around 16-17 cubes, partially deadened. I generally prefer sealed, although ported could work. I dont want to use more than 2 cubes, and preferably less. I am looking at quite a few different amps, but assume 600-1000 watts at a 2 ohm load. I would like to see 134 db. I am not dead set on any particular size, although I have considered two or three 10", or a pair of 12s, maybe a single 15. Would like to keep it under $250 usd for the sub. I have used elemental designs, alpine, kicker, and a couple other lesser brands but for various …

Can anyone help me out. I have a 2002 S-10 ext. cab and for my sub amp I have a Infinity 611a which is around 650 watts @2ohm. I want to use 3 RE RE-10D4 but someone suggested 2 SR-12D2. I listen to a lot of rap bass heavy music and I just sold my L7 12 for a CVX 12 then I found RE. The reason for wanting to use those subs is $. I can purchase either setup for $150. Will the 3 10's or 2 12's output match the L7 or CVX ? I need some serious help with this and what type of box, sealed or ported. Thanks

I have an 2001 Cadillac Deville. I have a Rockford Fosgate T4001bd and am looking for subs. I have been really looking at the Fi Btl's and the RE MT's but not exactly sure what size i can get do to box size would really like to 18 as im trying to be as loud as possible and have heard good things about the 18" fi subs but not sure if the box would have tto be too big after looking at some oof meades builds but maybe some of you who have installed some setups like this could help. So i figured i would come here for advice.

I know that the size of my speakers is 6.5", but my question is this. I have a 1995 Honda Accord and am worried about mounting depth. I've heard that the window comes down pretty close to the back of the stock speakers and on crutchfield, I'm not sure if the speaker takes into account the mounting depth. anyone had any experience with the honda accord? or if crutchfield takes into account the mounting depth?

Look at those lovely 17" Rims Sold on my other ones & got these instead. Front Wheel. Rear Wheel. And look what`s in the Vectras Boot On the left a Hawker Odessey PC2150 An Incriminator Audio 20.1 sort of in the middle. And don`t forget the 12" version of the 15" Stereo Integrity magnums I have in the Escort. The box is 2.5 Cu.Ft. before sub & port displacement and is tuned to 28Hz. I`ve still got to neaten a few things up. But the whole lot is not fitted permanently, everything is wedged in place as this stuff only gets fitted before it attends sounds offs etc - it takes literally minutes to fit or remove everything. It`s Nice & Loud & drops a …

I currently have a 3cuft3 box tuned at 40hz for my Soundstream SPLX sub @ 1k rms. I found out that the box is way to big for this sub thats why it sounds like the bass is "lagging". I have looked around and found that the Mach5 SPL 12" is the best for price to performance ratio but i have a couple questions that you guys might be able to answer. What size box will i need and whats the best tuning frequency for a loud daily running 2k rms (Unless thats to much) And will i have to order one from the US as i am from Australia but the Aus site only lists the SPL 15" not the 12" and my email hasn't been replied to. Last of all what is the quality like on these for music i no …

I'm thinking about getting a 12" Fi Q for my ride, but can only afford 500 rms to the sub. Will 500 rms from a JL Audio 500/1v2 be enough to make the Q sound great? Volume isn't a problem cause I've run subs at 400 rms and was satisfied.

Hi I recently installed a pioneer deh4200ub head unit in my car. It is a nissan altima without the bose system. I currently have 2 pioneer 6x9s in the rear deck and 2 5.25 speakers in the front door and 2 tweeters on the front door as well. Their at the same level as the side mirrors if you know what I mean. Anyway the speakers in my front door seem to rattle and I am just not happy with the SQ. I would like to upgrade to something alittle nicer. I am fine with the pioneer 6x9s in the back though. I am more concerned with the front because from what Ive read here that is the most importan part as far as SQ goes. I was thinking of buying Diamond Audio D3's. They make them …

I want sql, i want subs that are tight as can be but still hit you in your chest and get loud. My atlas 15s are loud but just not quite loud enough, my bro still thinks his audiobahns were better, so i need louder, but still tight bass. here's what i'm considering, feel free to suggest other subs but keep them 15s, keep them round, and keep them non-mainstream, if a 15 year old will know what it is, i don't want it the top of the list is the ones i'm leaning towards, only 3 in the list as of now though 1. Stereo Integrity Mag 2. Soundsplinter LMT 3. Ascendant Audio Avalanche -maybe should be in 2nd i've heard great things about the mags, the soundspliter seems t…

I listened to this baby a little bit this weekend, power from a sundown 1500d with gains set conservatively. It was in a .7 cube sealed box. My music ranged from the lighthearted banjo strings of folk music, the hardcore double bass drums of linkin park and disturbed. I also through in some lil jon to test the low end extension. Notes: With the folk music the sub stage blended nicely with the banjo strings in the front stage. It sounded very nice on this music. It very accurately reproduced anything it was asked to. With the rock music i listened to, my favorite for daily listening personally, the bm suprised me with its output on this music. It was not muddled at all unl…
