My friend has an older Mag and I have a newer one. I wsa thinking of getting the older one and running it with the new one. Will this cause a problem, especially if they're in a common chamber box? Also how much power will it need...how does a Concept CC-D1200 sound?

While we were testing the new Mag we decided to play around with some old BM 10's. We put eight 10's in an SPL car that had no alternator, 5 batteries, and a single SAZ 3000D. The first burp was in the 154's but we ended up getting it up to a 157.2 without too much trouble. Keep in mind the batteries had no charger on them for most of the test and when a carger was on them it was a little portable (about 12" by 9") charger. Oh yeah, this was all done on a Term Lab meter.

I've had this sub for a few years just sitting in the garage. It has a hole in the rubber surround and one set of terminals broke off. I've attempted to fix both things, but I'm not sure about the enclosure size. It seems that the sub is so old that I can't find any info on it. I wanted to try and make a ported box, but now I'm kind of thinking on just making something around .75ft^3

So i have 2 that say image dynamics and have the logo in the front but thats it. They look pretty old and work, kind of higher bass even in a ported box. Im comparing this to what i had in the exact same box RF Hx2 15. My question is, what are these subs? Has anyone heard of them or maybe they are fakes?

I found an old JL 10 for sale, didn't see a number on it. Looks like it was reconed or something but ok job. Motor is near as big as the hole it would go in, its heavy. Kind of well used looking but new JL dustcap and maybe foam on it, it is all black and stamped looking frame....any idea of value? Not sure what I could do with only one. It has thick paper gasket on top edge that is torn up some, the rest is not bad.

I have purchased a Mag D2 15 and am trying to find the specs on it so I can build a box for it while I wait on Fedex. I'm sure it's been posted a million times somewhere and I apologize if it has. I am finding a ton of info on the new Mags though Can anyone point me in the right direction or hook me up with some specs please? Need to know what size ported box they like, Cutout diameter, Mounting Depth, and anything else that would be useful to me. If I can't find info I was just gonna do 4 cubes at 33hz. Thats a pretty standard number for a 15. Someone help me out please. Wayne This is the model I have coming. Thanks again! I can't wait to have it tearing my new truck up…

Hey my friend just bought 2 pbx's like 2 months ago, running of an orion 1200watt amp, anyways they were made in 04 at least thats what the sticker says, one of the just stopped working, like today i was putting some damplifier in his truck and i wanted to see his subs and it sounded funny to me, ussualy you can't even tell well the one sub sounded as if you had a piece of plastic infront of it, i think it was just the wires inside the box could be wrong tho, also i noticed one of his subs wasnt hitting at all... took it out sure enough wire'd it at 1ohm and got nothing out of it.... is there any type of warranty on these, or would he be better off just taking it back to …

My friend Jhovani had 2 15in subwoofers in a blowthrough in his 1999 F150. Jhovani came over today and he asked me if we could put his box from his bed into his cab. So that's what we did.. Unscrewed the box from the mounts, cut the wire and freed the box. This build was done probably 10 years ago so the truck and the subs weren't in the greatest condition. The rattling from the truck and subs was horrendously loud from the interior and exterior. He always told me he thought he had some old 15in JBLs over the last year or so, which JBL makes some high quality subs so I figured they pretty nice. But it turned out they were the old Rockford Power HX2 15s as stated on the du…

  12. My cousin just got these in a trade for his box that I built for his 2 cvx 15's. We hooked them up free-air and they sound find but we won't know for sure until we put them in an enclosure. I've seen them sale for $300+ on other forums. Anybody have any idea on how much they are worth? Guy wants him to add cash and we're just trying to see what's a fair asking price for these. I've had several of these drivers in several sizes and haved loved them all (only cuz I got them cheap ), but I have an opportunity to snag 3 of the 12W6s for virtually no money. Does anyone here still consider these to be worth any value? I have no real use for them yet, so it would be nothing more than a quick turn-around investment. With all the new drivers out there though, I'm wondering if it's even worthwhile. The 3 I'm getting are of the first gen, but they are all unused and still boxed. I'm getting them from dealer who had them in the back of his warehouse for years and never knew they were there. He did some housecleaning last week, and guess what appe…

  20. Have a question some of the old-school guys might be able to help out with. A friend of mine has no bass in his 98 Explorer right now. He wants something, but is on a very tight budget. I have had a new pair of old-school 15" MTX ThunderPro 750 watt subs tucked away in my laundry room. The ones with the red rubber surround. Don't ask me how I obtained them. LOL. I offered them up, and of course he accepted. My problem is, even though they are new and still taped up in their original boxes, there was no paperwork/specs with them. Does anyone know anything about these subs? How much box volume do they need? Do they like a sealed or ported enclosure? Etc. Just trying to help…

What do you guy think of the older 4 spoke cast frame xtant x series round subs. Model x412. THey seem well built with a beefy magent, and 4 spoke basket. I can get a pair in mint condition. I was wondering how good they were. How much they ran new. And how they sound and what you think of them.. Also what would you pay for a pair of the 12's in like new shape...

This is the Omega, the most excessive 6.5" midbass/wideband driver we could manage for the target price for now. I stress this is an exceptional driver even for dedicated midrange use and not just a brute of a midbass driver! It does very nicely down to 70hz IB in car and 45hz in a ported floor standing speaker at home. It could also be used effectively as a wideband driver with a supertweeter. It comes in 2, 4, and 8 ohm versions. The 8 ohm version has an aluminum phase plug. Here are the t/s for the 2 ohm: Qes = .537 Qms = 3 Qts = .455 Fs = 54.33 hz Vas = 45.88l Xmax = 22mm Re = 1.6 ohms Le = .05mH Sd = 140 cm^2 Bl = 2.3 Tm 93.4 dB/w/m 100.4 dB/2.83v Here are the t…
