  1. Right now I have 2 RF T110D4's in sealed box fiberglassed to floor under back seat. I want to up grade to get it a little louder and sound better. The box now is about 1.9cuft I think. I will tear this out of course for new box. Is there anyway to jack up the seat brackets a couple of inches to allow more volume to the box? And still make it look good, and functional. I've always wanted 12's but was told they wouldn't fit. Is there any way I can get better option's with leaving the seat back there? My amp right now is a RF T10001 power series. I will upgrade that if I need too. Is there any customizations I can do to allow me to get some good quality 12's under the back s…

OK so I'm not really sure what details and what not someone would need to do this. I'm wanting to upgrade and have been told by numerous people that modeling is my best option to make my best decision on new sub's/ and or enclosure etc. I don't have internet access other than my phone so downloading modeling software is not an option I need help! I'll give the basics of what I have if more details are needed I will provide assuming there is a kind hearted person who will help me out here. 2004 Pontiac grand am Alpine mrx m240 wired at 4 ohms - 1500 watt which is capable of doing 2400 at 2 ohms. I have built 2 boxes for these things and both have sounded like trash. I know they require about .6 cubes but I have yet to find the port area that is needed. I used winisd for both boxes and I have an insainamount of port noise the last box has a port 3.25x8.5x39 and I think the port length is to long already and I didn't have enough room for a larger port due to it getting longer. What size box and port should I go with?

I have some 6.5 comps in the doors right now, and some 4x6's in the dash if my s10. I was wondering what was the advantage to getting "better" door/dash speakers?? I have 2 rl-p 15"s in a ported box. Would it "add" to my bass?? Sorry if this is a noob question. I just want to justify soending more money on "better" speakers (mids/highs).

  7. Hey guys, we recently purchased '11 Toyota Venza with stock stereo and I'm pretty dissapointed with the audio system in a $40k car, whether the stock or the upgraded JBL package system, real disapointment. I want to upgrade the stock speakers only, as this is mainly my fiance's car to work and our family car for trips. I already did my Scion last year with Sundown amps, ID speakers, knukonceptz, secondskin, I went from simple upgrade to $3k built So one car is enough or I'm gonna get serious beating from my lady Anyway I'm looking to upgrade the stock speakers, we listen to everything from techno to rock, I like warm sounds, no harsh sounding speakers, something laid back…

Hello all A very good day today despite not hitting the 150dB @ 20Hz  Here`s a few photos of my car again. Look!! I actually managed to win a U.K. Finals (I remembered to turn my amps on ) Extreme 3-4 catagory My scores: 152.3dB @ 33Hz :earmuffs: 149.0dB @ 20Hz :earmuffs: (Apparently the dB score drops on grass) Huge drop though But I`m very happy with my scores considering I`m running on half power One thing I have to say is that I will not be competing in Bass Race anymore because I have no chance of getting anywhere. WHY??? Because there are no tunes (that I know off) that peak @ 33Hz for long periods of time But I`m happy tryin…

  10. I'm thinking about sending my blown 12" Adire Brahma MKIII to Scott over at Fi to get it reconed. Finding info on the MKIIIs is difficult. In fact, before Adire shut down, they had the MKIV in their current line up, and had a link to discontinued models. In that link, there's the Brahma MKI and MKII but nowhere was a MKIII mentioned. Anyway, according to my research, the MKI and MKII is rated at 1,600 Watts RMS, and the MKIII and MKIV is rated at 600 Watts RMS. I can't find anything explaining why there's a 1,000 Watt difference between the MKII and MKIIIs but I don't have a problem with that. I've also read that the a Brahma (I'm guessing MKI/II) can reach full excu…

I just order 2 maw-15's from the sound solutions shop. I gonna run them sealed and power them with a hifonics bx1500d about 1300-1400 clean watts at 1 ohm to both of them together. How hard do you think they will hit and how loud? Im running a fi ssd ported with the same amp right now but i need more , since my car has bad cabin gain. Will this set up kill my 12 inch ssd I have now? Im trying to get my setup louder and deeper then a fi q 12 inch ported powered by a 1000 watt lanzer amp. My friend has that setup in his scion tc, and it bangs in that car. I have a 4 door sedan and decided i needed more to get as loud as his. I just hope this is what im looking for. Any Tho…

Nick I would appreciated any feedbacks from you or the others. I have a 99 Accord with a cup holder that pulls down from the middle of the back seat and creates a tiny rectangular opening through the trunk. Is it advisable to face my D2s directly through this hole from the trunk through the little hole in the rear seats? They are charging me 500 for this type of install (fiberglass). Let me know if this is advisable. All I want is a tight and punchy bass.

I am getting a weird noise from my 12" BM, it sounds like the coil is rubbing or that its bottoming out. It is not on big time bass songs, only on like rock when a kick drum hits hard. I have it in a box I built to try and get it to 2cu ft and 34hz. I am using a Sundown Audio SAE-1000D to power it and have each voice coil hooked up to its own output on the amp. Any help is appreciated.

I was bumping my SSD lastnight when it all of sudden stopped. Everything was sounding great and it just stopped. I looked at the connections to the box and everything was fine, then i pushed on the cone and it started working again. Still, it sounded just like it should (awesome lol) but then it stopped again. This morning i took it out of the box to check the connections to the sub and everything was as should be. When i would push the cone it would jump but stop working again. what the hell could this be?? also the tinsel leads, spiders, and everything else looks fine and in place.

  18. what could have gone wrong? i dont have a subwoofer yet. i made a thread about that. and will be getting a subwoofer later but for now i just got the SPR 60C, alpine type R components the midbass is like gone. my cheapo stock speakers had slightly more midbass than these... they are powered by a pioneer amp, GM-D8604 what could be wrong? or are components supposed to have barely any bass whatsoever.... its pretty bad. the highs are very clear. a bit too harsh highs but when i set the headunit to EQ the bass up, the bass sounds bad, slight increase in bass, but pretty bad quality bass? After waiting a month and a half after placing my order I finally received my AA mayhem. I will be putting it on a soundqubed 750.1 because I dont plan on upgrading my electrical for a little while. I am currently running 2 aq sdc2.0 and they do slam for what they are. As for the box, It is in 2.5 cu tuned to 32hz with a 4" aeroport. Immediately I noticed the packaging is very well done, and I give huge props to SSA for that aspect. I will most likely give a review for the mayhem once I get my box. Anyways here are some pics

Gotta 92 deville and Im just trying to get the best bang for my buck. The seats dont fold down at all and it has that big ass metal piece blocking most all of the sound from getn into the cabin. So Im looking for a sub that gets loud and is able to take them lows. Im most likely going to have it port tuned at 32-34 hz.. Im leaning towards a fully loaded 12" FI Q, But Ive been looking at the 12 IA LI's also, They seem to get really loud and take the lows... Or possibly a SA 12? Whats ur opinion?

  23. Ok so Ive had many systems in my life time. I am looking for a 10" or 12" no more than $150. I would prefer a 10" in a ported box. I have a jl audio xd500/3 so 300 at 2ohms on the sub channel. I'm not gonna upgrade amps. I will run the front speakers off the front two channels at 70x2 or something like that. I can buy jl audio, alpine, kenwood, and hertz at almost cost. For example jl10w0v3 $65 ea. So I want to know some what you all think. I was thinking about 1.5ft^3 but I know it will depend on the sub. Let me know what subs.

Since I have a son my girl wants a car seat in both cars I have to take the 15s out the back seat and I won't be able to do my dp21 I'm thinking about 3 10s facing into the car and porting the back deck. I'm about to pick up a crunch 3000d and its going into a 02 Pontiac sunfire. The set up is going to be used more for everyday use tuned in the low 30s. the trunk is and will be sealed off from the trunk and the subs behind the back seat with about 5in of space Right now I'm thinking of fi Qs, ssd, aq2.5s or dc lv4 can u think of anything better? I'm going to use 2 6in Euro ports on the back deck where the 6x9s used to go. Do you think it will sound good or should I use 2…
