i got my si d2 saturday and put it in a 1 cubic foot box sealed and it just absolutly pounded. i then put it in a 3.0 cubic foot box tuned to 28 and it is just sick down low!!!! i have it on a bx1500d with wired to 1 ohm, (but a 60 amp fuse at the front) and trust me all i need is 1 12. i play alot of screwed up music that has a bass boost down low and man i rattles the whole car plus the house. I LOVE IT i may go inside the box and take out my last port wall to raise the tuning to 32-35 for a little more spl (like it isn't there)

I ended up getting a clarion 785usb and i have been wanting to go active for a while. I need some help with drivers tho. I really like the Eminence alpha 6 mids and i was looking at selenium horns, but i think theyd be pretty hard to get into the doors. Could you guys reccomend a decent metal dome tweet with a relatively shallow mounting depth that gets pretty darn loud? I have about 50 watts at 4 ohm and 70 at 2 ohm to work with and i think the crossover point would be like 3khz with that mid? oh and budget would be like 25ish for an 8 ohm driver or 40-50ish for a 4 ohm driver.

Has anyone heard of Sundown giving some love to the shallow mounts? Would be nice to have an new and improved model like the SA series

Im in the market for a single 15, and I noticed the EVIL can take 3250 watts. I have an amp that pairs up with that perfectly. How do these sound? All of the vids I've seen make these seem pretty amazing. Has anyone experimented with box sizes for these?

I'm running my options and these are to be run of the sub channel of an AX5600 (don't know the exact sub, was told around 6-700w@ 1 ohm) i would prefer the mounting depth the to be 6" and under (preferrably skinnier the better, but if it will proved better performance, im all for up to 6.5. I would like to keep the airspace around 1.5 cubic ft sealed choices so far are (in no particular order): 1 10 or 12" SE 1 12" FI SSD 2 10" FI x1 V2 2 Soundsplinter RL-i 1 2 10" Sundown Sd1's 2 12 or 10" Mach 5 MAW 10's for the RE's i would be staying with the optimal sealed enclosure for the SSD i am staying with the recommended box specs of 1.1 cubes with the Copper coil + soft sp…

so while i was looking at how much RE componets would cost i found a site that offers RE speakers. 6x9" 6" 6.5". so my question is would the RE speakers keep up better with 4 15" ssds then the kappas would? would be using the zxi-6410 to power them. the kappas i was looking at would be the 6"x9" 3 way, 6-1/2" 3-way, 5-1/4" 2-way. Hi guys, Im new to this forum so i hope i put this thread in the right place. I have 2 10" Kicker L7's in my truck that are getting power from a Hifonics Bx1605d in a sealed fiberglass box I started noticing the the one on the right is acting a little funny and buzzing a little bit. i took it out the other day and realized that it has a rip in the coil. Its on 04 model so it is decently old. First timer here! Here is my question,,,, I got 2 Kicker ZX300.1 amps and wanna use them to power separate subs. This set up is going into a regular cab Doge Ram. So with these 2 amps used to power 2 separate subs whats the best setup? Ideal subs?,,,,ported sealed box?,,,,basic wiring?,,,any other tips on how to go about it is very appreciated. Please don't bring me down and tell me these amps aren't any good! Also,,, think these would work? RE subs

hello, i have a good question here lol. i have 1 12" orion hcca (the older silver cone style) and was wondering, if it somehow blew, how would i re-cone it? will the new style hcca re-cone kit work? i wanted to e-mail orion but when i went to contact them, alls i got was a bunch of stuff about how i need to sign into this other website..... so i figured id ask incase on of you knew. any info would be appreciated

Same wattage. Which has best sq and gets load . Had my eyes set on IA lethal injection 12" . But now looking at the Sundown sa12 I'm undecided. Just want some comments and feedback before I order and before my final box design by Argent. Listen to rap and classic rock. 1300 wts and ported will be the setup

would 1500w rms for subwoofers and 500w rms for speakers be a good balance for a lot of bass but good loud music quality too

I ordered my 2 15" MKIIs yesterday to replace my 2 15" Lethal Injections. They'll be here Wednesday. So excited, the specs on these seem like some of the most well designed subs I've ever seen. The response curve on these in a sealed box is almost completely flat from 20 hz up to 100 hz. I'll post an initial review shortly after I put them in my box.

Man, i really had my heart set on sellings my two magnum 12s and getting two of the 15s. Those theives piss me off. Anyways, since there is no telling when stereo integrity will get back on their feet, i need a sub/subs that will work off my Tsunami 1800. I want them to perform (spl wise) like two 15" D2s would. And i will be tuning the subs low, so i can hit the real low lows. I just dont know what to get. 18inch XXX was an option, but i dont know if it will give me the SPL i was lookin for. What ever the case, it must hit harder than my dual Mag 12s. Please help me out as soon as possible

Hi guys.. I have been working away feverishly on my car to make it seriously custom.. And its nearly there.. couple of minor touch ups needed from where there were small runs, but you can probably see how far its come from the pics I have painted it with Holographic Micro pearl flake, which shifts from orange to green or not at all depending on the light angle. Okay so i have a powerbass pb-b125dv2 and it is popped and i want an fi recone. I was going to get the re se recone from them. I was going to change the gasket to 12 spoke and buy the recone and drop it in. Will this work. And it is a DVC sub. Is this possible. The sub is pratically new.

I haven't had a sub in over a year now, and I miss that portion of my music. I'm very picky when it comes to my subs. I've just stumbled upon the xcon, and i've just about had my mind made up on the AE AV12x or h. I've heard nothing but good things about the AV's, but I came across the xcon. What topology is the driver (ie underhung, overhung, etc..) the magnet reminds me of my old Audiomobile MASS 2012, which i absolutely loved, and regret getting rid of it. The MASS was damn near dead on perfect. I've always leaned more towards SQ, rather than SPL, but I do like to crank it up at times. DD post their excursions in "suspension". Does this mean the total distance the sub can travel as opposed to xmax which means the greatest travel in one direction? For example, their 9500 series has suspension of 80mm... it doesn't seem like this can be xmax.. so would the xmax be 40mm ??(half of the total distance traveled)

Im getting 2 12 BL subs and the saz 1500d sundown. Now i may just be getting just one sub for now cause of some money issues but wil end up getting another 12, can i hook up just one sub for now to the saz 1500d amp or no? I do not know shit about this stuff. thanks
