i was debating on puting coaxil or re xxx mids for rear fill. or should i go with no rear. i have a pair of components up front. but want to know what would sound better.

Need some nice quality components running in the range of $300 6x9 for mid range, it would be ran off a sundown 100.4 any ideas?

I thinkin about buyin a mag off of someone but dont know how to tell which one it is? Does it even matter which 1 it is? Does 1 have better power handling then the other or would you say they pretty much have the same? heres a pic http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/194/picture001vt3.jpg

I just got two Audioque HD 12's and I need to know if they will perform well using the SSA XCON dual 12 box design. They will be powered by a 3000d in a 90 Mustang. I sent the box designs to a builder but he is not familier with Audioque. What do you guys think? Need feedback ASAP!!

have you got any figures for xmax on the DC LEVEL 5's yet please ? specifically the 12 and 15, shouldnt make much difference either way..

A buddy of mine still has the first system he bought a couple years ago consisting of 2 Kicker CVX 15s in a sealed box (the shop said they couldnt make a ported box with space they had, but I ran it on Torres an the box would have only had to be 2in taller to run a port which would put him at the top of his back seat.) He said he likes his 15s but he wants to be "louder" and hit the lows better. I told him I could build a ported box for his car, or we could upgrade subs for the new box. I disconnected my speakers and was listening to my sub by itself and I noticed that I could slightly hear some words. Everything sounds good and you cant hear it when the speakers are connected so I was wondering if this is normal.Thanks in advance for any help.

Have spent some time in my car, tuning frequencys and adding/removing sheep wool from my 1"cuft box now. And the result is outstanding from what I can hear. The tight snap from the D2 really compliments the sound from my BA PRO 4.5 & 6.5 components. Slammed in Eric Claptons "best of" cd, listened to some Metallica, Korn, Toccata & fugua and a lot of other stuff. The only conclusion I can come up with is that this is by far the cleanest thing I've had in my trunk; I borrowed a sealed RF 2112 and hooked it up, and man what a difference in sound in comparison to the D2, blurry and with no thump. I'm going to have a gp3000 maybe 2 down the road. the subs are going to be used for everyday use, demo at car shows, and bass race. so far I'm thinking one ia dp21 6 gp 10's 6 audioque 2.5 10's 4 audioque hd3 10's or 6 ia li 10's I can do about 9-10 cubes net and its going to be tuned to 35. the subs are going in a half wall in the back seat of a sunfire. the amps will be placed infrount of the subs. thanks, Marks phone

So i plugged my Icon 10 D2 into WinIsd according to the specs on SSAs site. For some reason it says the best response is going to come from roughly .5 cu ft ported. The optimal suggested on the site is 1.5 cu ft. which is what i built and it sounds great. Of course i wanted to play with the port sizing and the cu ft a little bit and see if I can do better. Are the specs correctly listed? Do i need more than what the site lists to get the program to work correctly? I dont think i could even fit the sub in such a small box!

I have the 12" SSA Xcon D1, What is the Displacement of this sub? I would guess it's 0.18 or 0.19cuft? Take a look!! It's a work of Art...

What's the value of a sa x 15 V1 D4 sub?

Ok i have 2 12" ssa zcons D1. I didnt know i could rebuild them to 18"s. I'm looking on building a wall in my car and i want to go for spl. What would be better D1 or D2? I have a crescendo bc 3500 that will be running 2 18".

I e-mailed Sundown and asked for the recommended port area for 2 SD-8's in a box tuned to around 38hz. Anyone have a suggestion ?

Well i got my two treo ssi 15's running off a us amp 2000. i previously had two powerbass xs 15's. i put them in my powerbass box, which was close enough to specs. i'm pretty impressed. with the treo's weighing in at what seems to be half the pbx's. they pack one hell of a punch. and i'm willing to say they are about 5 decibles louder. i'll get it tested this week to further persue my conclusion. great sound quality. and you can feel alot more air flow in my explorer. cheers. i'm now sellin my pbx's to a friend of mine.

So I bought a sundown x-15 based off the rms and it being a sundown sub. I had a sa-15 and loved it, it hit all the notes I wanted and put in work. I had it powered by a kicker ix1000.1 in a 3.5 ish box tuned to 35hz. Now I just swapped the subs in the same box so I'm not too sure what the box is tuned to with the x-15 it hits low notes really nice, but most of the music I listen to doesn't have low low notes. My question is should I keep the x build a box for the x. And get a 8 or 10" for midbass, maybe that will fill the gap. Or sell the x a d get maybe a fi bl or ssa xcon, right now they will be powered by a alpine m240 later upgrading to sundown saz 3500 for a pai…
