Which one would hit harder The hdc3 is 370 shipped and the btl would be around 450 fully loaded. I want a hard hitting system but I don't have much space I drive a 2000 accord coupe. So what do you guys think I should get.

Any great enclosure builders on this forum? A need a 3.5^ft tuned to 28hz for a Mag D2 15". Can someone build a quality box & carpeted for under $200 shipped?

I'm torn on what to buy. I love SPL and SQ, but I dont want to much of either. I'm afraid I'll get something and want more and more. I need to find a single 12'', maybe two. Has the quality of the RE XXX's gone down? I remember then as beasts, and the dream subs... Ascendant Audio Havocs? Fi Q or BL? Sound Splinter RLp? Help... BTW, is it better to get a 20.1 for this install or a SAZ-1500?

Im looking for a good 6.5 component set that is under $300 dollars and has good midbass. dont have an amp now i will get one that will match up good with the components.

Hello all. My wife bought me a Hifonics BXi 1208 for christmas and i was in the market for a sub to use it with. I don't want to spend more than $250-300 on a sub though. I just want something good for my daily drive to work and back. I listen to mostly hard hitting rap. Another thing... would it be foolish to run my sub at 1 ohm with no upgrades to my electrical? i have a question about a system i plan to build, i have a 07 monte carlo. i plan to get the rockford power 1000 5 ch, from all the reviews and info i found on it the sub channel makes about 900 rms. i dont know which way i wanna go with the subs, should i get two 12s at 500 rms a piece or a single 15 at 1000 rms. from what i found about most subs i looked at for a single 15 the ported box size is about the same as two 12s in a ported box. as for the install i dont want it to take up the whole trunk so i want to build a box around 3.5 to 4 3ft. but what combination would sound better, i like rap mostly and i like it loud. thanks for the info in advance.

Which subs will be best for a loud/daily combo off of about 4k watts per pair? I'm going to be tuned around 28~30hz and want it to be stupid loud! My amp is IA 40.1 and I have 8 cubes net to work with. Thanks

A little about me. I have been out of car audio for a while. My last setup was two MMATS audio P3 12's in a ported box which was great in my Ford Ranger. I recently bought a MB Quart Discuss 1500.1 from a member here and ran it at 2ohms to a Hifonics Atlas 12 which blew within two days. That was admittedly my fault for turning the gain up too loud. I have a single cab Dodge Ram and would like to stay with one 12" subwoofer. My usable space is approximately 30"(w)X15"(h)X11"(d) for 2.12^3 ft of space. I would like to run the amp at 1 ohm @1500 watts and can spend around $250-$300 for the sub. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks. Looking for a somewh…

Can i get custom coils made for it to be 2 ohms and have it setup to take 200 rms playing 80hz to 3k hz...... i take it that they can have custom cones and coils made like subs....

do they make magnet boots for them? I have yet to see one with it on it and I know the level2/3s have them.. unsure on 4s or 4xls. Also, to Rusty... do you sell just the motors? Interested in making some hybrid subs and it'll be my first time building them.

I have an IA 20.1 on order and am thinking of going with two Mag D2 15s for it. I designed a box that is 7 @ 30hz w/ 90in^2 vent area. I was wondering if you guys had tried that type box yet and just how does it do? Does it start to dip after 50hz? I am sure it wil probably ring my bell from 30 - 50hz. I am just worried it won't do much afterwards. About where would you said my 3dB down point would be? Also, I have a goal of a 146+ new TL with this setup Legal on music. 98 explorer....think that is too lofty of a goal?? Thanks :-D -Alex

I have decided the Sundown Audio SA series is what im going for. I need the best setup for what im doing but im not an expert, thats why I came here. The car: (not yet purchased) A new (or recently new) Dodge Charger My ideas: 2 SA-15s, 2 SA-12s, or 3 SA-10s (The 3 SA-10s are the last option on my list but il keep them in mind) The power: All off of a 1200 or 1500 RMS amp (I will have no other modifacations so I need to keep the power down) I bump daily, im careful about feeding to much power and i take care of my subs. I have a 91 Acura Integra, and I'm gonna throw 2x 18" XL's in there on a SAZ-3000D or a SAZ-3500D @ 1 ohm... Finally got the numbers together, and have an enclosure designed with interchangeable ports (one is 33hz and the other one is 37 hz.... I was only able to get so much airspace out of my integra, but came up with 12ft3 with the 33hz port and 13.24ft3 with the 37hz port.... and thats NET, after sub displacement, bracing displacement, and port displacement.... My question is this.... I'm new to the "wall" thing, but I'm definitely doing it....and I want to know if it matters if the port is on the top or on the bottom (behind my head or towards my lower back?)..... If …

how many of you guys actually give your components there suggested rms or under? and how many of you over power them? i was thinking around another 50 watts over suggested rms wouldnt kill them would it?

I got myself a Diablo Audio HF8000.1. i cant decide whether to go 4 AQ copper coil 12s in a proper size box (8.5), or 2 Aluminum coil 18s in a little too small box (10.5). im not looking for numbers, just a daily beater. my goal is to get loud but retain some decent sound while listening to music. pretty much just sounding decent while listening to music but loud.

Soooo, after tons of researching and trying to figure out what I want to use in my boys truck....I think I have settled on getting 2 10" IXL's.....one question though, and I do apologize.
