That's the box. The subs are Lanzar 15" MAX Pros 2000w max. Amp is a Kenwood KAC-1000D or w/e. Any suggestions to the box or changes that will make them hit harder?

Looking for 2 12 inch subs that go loud and low for about $250-$300 a piece. I currently have 2 mtx 7500 12s and a mtx 1501d amp. The birthsheet that comes with the amp claims 1863 watts at 2 ohms. I have looked at kicker L7s but then i found this website. Any help would be great, thanks

Ok guys. Subs are in the mail. Mono and 4 Channel amp will come with my next two checks. (RE SEx 12, AQ1200D, AQ4x90) As for the money I have now, I need 2 pairs of speakers. I have an Explorer, so 6x9's are out. I'm leaning towards 6.5 coaxials for the front, and either a cheaper pair of 6.5's or 6x8's for a rear fill. There is a hole already made for a tweeter in the door (as the car has a system in it already), so components would be a great choice, EXCEPT....I'm working in a semi-limited budget (not willing to spend more than 160 on both pairs). With all that said, I have two choices picked out. Rockford Fosgate T1652 for front, and P1653 for rear. Still a skeptic tho…

Thinking of getting a line driver to get a bit louder. My amp is an Alpine MRVF340 (V12). How much can this amp take from my head unit's pre-outs?

I need some help deciding on which subs to get. Depending on the load I got two amps I know I want. One is the T20001bd (my first choice) or two Alpine PDX 1.1000 (But that's second on my list). My gold is running 2000 RMS for a pair of twelves. I need some experience to guide me, because I have no way to hear them for my self. So I ask, for your opinions. I have three I picked from some recommendations, and I would like to know which is the best, which one would last longer, hit harder, and be a better investment. FI Q 12" 1000 watts rms SSA Icon 12" 1000 watts rms Alpine Type X 12" 1000 watts rms I'm getting a ported box & I listen to everything, but mostly boomy r…

I am in Orlando and there is a shop that my friend owns and runs and it is called Audio Excellence. Anyways when I was there the other week they had a customer's car and it was an old classic sedan. Anyways it had three 10s sealed and there was a port on the rear deck. When I asked them about it they told me that it eliminates the rattle in the trunk and fires the bass into the cabin. Has anyone know what is the true nature of doing this besides tearing up the rear deck. Thank you Ebrahim

Well for the MAG is going to be going into the 3rd box in 3 weeks.....mistakes on my part....I am deadly with a tape measure!! it is in 1.1 cubes sealed right now....but i am going back to ported...output suffered too much for me So i took measurements like 3 times to make sure it will fit....the box is going to be 34L x 15H x 10D which equals 2.18 cubic feet......as you can see i want this box to be as thin as possible cause i want to save as much trunk space as possible So going by those measurements and then add in the port and driver displaement.....port is 13.5 tall by 1.5 wide and 24 inches long which equals .28 cubes so after all displacements i am guessing it will…

New here and looking for opinoins. I was running 2 ME12's sealed at 1.25 on a saz-1500d in my extended cab Dakota, I'm now driving a GTI and plan to make some upgrades. I'm looking for more low end output, not nesicerially more output over all. I need to stay in the 4cf net area with good SQ, why I typically run sealed. So I'm looking at cone area. 2 15's are the winner in cone area by about 1 10's worth of cone, on the other hand I can get a real good deal on the 4 10's, about $200 less and have the same if not more power handling ability if I need it. So is that extra cone area gonna just kill the 10's? I can be about .8cf over the recomended size on hte 10's but righ…

So I just ordered a couple IDMAX 12's. I had heard your not supposed to give them the whole 1000rms each. So my question is how much do the like? Im thinking of throwing them on a Sundown SAZ 1500 @1ohm. Im guessing about 750rms a piece. Would that be pushing it or should I be fine? Also I was wondering if anyone here has experience with these subs and how do you like them? Have you hit good term lab numbers with them? I know they are SQ subs but i know they can get loud too.

I have a 91 Acura Integra, and I'm gonna throw 2x 18" XL's in there on a SAZ-3000D or a SAZ-3500D @ 1 ohm... Finally got the numbers together, and have an enclosure designed with interchangeable ports (one is 33hz and the other one is 37 hz.... I was only able to get so much airspace out of my integra, but came up with 12ft3 with the 33hz port and 13.24ft3 with the 37hz port.... and thats NET, after sub displacement, bracing displacement, and port displacement.... My question is this.... I'm new to the "wall" thing, but I'm definitely doing it....and I want to know if it matters if the port is on the top or on the bottom (behind my head or towards my lower back?)..... If …

i have a question about a system i plan to build, i have a 07 monte carlo. i plan to get the rockford power 1000 5 ch, from all the reviews and info i found on it the sub channel makes about 900 rms. i dont know which way i wanna go with the subs, should i get two 12s at 500 rms a piece or a single 15 at 1000 rms. from what i found about most subs i looked at for a single 15 the ported box size is about the same as two 12s in a ported box. as for the install i dont want it to take up the whole trunk so i want to build a box around 3.5 to 4 3ft. but what combination would sound better, i like rap mostly and i like it loud. thanks for the info in advance.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, But I don't wanna screw up my subs. There may be a simple solution to this. I might just be making it harder than it really is. On my old Kicker 1200.1 amp, there was a set of RCA signal outputs. I ran these to my amp for the door speakers. Well I don't have this on my IA 20.1 Any suggestions? Or it as simple as running a couple sets of RCA splitters? Another question: I want to run 2 subs off this amp. My subs are dual 2 ohm SI Mag 12s. I know how to wire the sub coils (parallel) But do I run them to 1 connection at the amp or 2?

okay, that part I get, but does it have to be the SAME sub? make/model? I'm thinking of mixing RE SE 12 and JL 12w6v1's of all things. Each pair would be in their own ported enclosure, separate chamber, common box thing. Asking for trouble?

2013 dodge charger, 180amp alternator. setup 1: 2 ported (32hz) SA12s on 1400rms amp @1ohm (700rms each) setup2: 3 sealed SA12s on 2400rms amp @1.3 ohm (615 rms each) Will the stock battery and amp be able to handle the 2nd setup? which of these is better for SPL and which for SQ? Any info will help, thanks. I am leaning towards 1st setup, just wanted to know if it was worth the 2nd. Im looking at a Hifonics GLX1400.1D

Okay so i got a new car and I dont have enough room for the maw-15's anymore. And from what I seen on the mach 5 website the ixl subs are susbstantialy more powerful than the maw series. I have a '06 pontiac g6 and I'm looking to get a pair of one of the ixl's. im looking to go as big as i can and get away with it in my given trunk space. The 10's look extremely good for the price and power. Would a pair of those out-do my maw-15's?

I currently have an Alpine type r 15 on a kicker zx750.1. I have it in a 3.75ft net box tuned to 35 hz and it gets pretty loud and sounds decent. My choices of a new sub were a SSA Icon 15, FI SSD 15, and an AA Choas 15. The new sub would go into the same old box but now run off a T1000-1bdcp. I want to know which sub would sound better off my amp. I want it to be louder than my type R and sound good as well.

you should come out with some speakers for DIY people. like some 6.5 o 8 inch midbass drivers! ive heard lots of cars with nice systems, but getting your midbass to match the sound of your sub is really hard. and in my preference i think it sounds really nice when your sub sound matches the midbass cuase it sounds more fluent. i would def buy SI midbass stuff to match my sub, long as you dont bust out that 230 bucks per driver stuff that makes us all poor hehe. i dunno thats just been running through my head today
