Hello gents, So all these years I've been a sealed enclosure type of guy. I listen to bands with lots of double kick and I enjoy it being deadly accurate.. However, I did hear a ported 12" this week that has me rethinking some things. The guy played me Megadeth's "Rust in Peace" (remastered) album and the sub seemed to do pretty well keeping up with the double kick. However, how would the transient response be for even quicker metal bands? (i.e. Divine Heresy, Wintersun, Nile, etc..) Would it stay somewhat accurate? or would it turn into a more muddled response? Or... is it dependent on the frequencies of that particular kick drum(s) and/or be dependent on the band/m…

I have narrowed down to 1 12" ported, 2 10" ported or 2 12" sealed for bass racing! The ported box will be tuned to 32hz.

As you may know, I am starting my big build slowly, first buying the Raamat, deck, and 2 component speakers, and starting out with a semi loud subwoofer system that I might buy from my friend. i was wondering how big the port should be to tune your 4 cu ft recommended box for the D2 15 to 28hz and how long should the port be?

i am working on a build and would like some feedback/info on my porting. a have a box that is net 7.5 cu ft. going to run 2 hdc3 15s and was going to tune around 35 hz . i figured on running 2 4inch aeroports and have come up with around 4 inch length on each for this tuning. does this seem right or am i wrong on my figuring. thanks a bunch for any info and opinions

i dont understand with ports some ppl say that you always put your ports on the same side as your subwoofers. looking around on forums i see ports being put on all different side what is the best way. does it even matter i have a van and i want to put the subwoofers facing the front of the car and van the ports facing the tailgate what is best

i just put in some pioneer 6x9s in my car and they sound like a cross between a subwoofer with no crossover and a tweeter..... no bass at all either. the factory speakers sounded much better. what a waste of money

So I was looking at my new Crescendo Audio CCX65's and I noticed 2 possible issues I'd like feedback on. Issue 1. One of the crossovers is loose in its case and rattles around and can be moved around inside the case by pushing or pulling on the block. The other one is rock solid. Will this cause any issues other then an annoying rattle? If not I will just open the case and adhere it down like the solid one. Issue 2. One of the mids is not centered. I am not sure if this will rub or not during use since its not like these things have subwoofer excursion levels. I pushed the cone up and down a bit and didn't see or hear it rub. Hey guys whats up. I'm selling the Exploder and getting an Accord coupe. I want to do an IB setup...I'm moving away from the SPL deal. I am starting to crave more SQ. Possible drivers I was thinking about were: 1. single ED 19Ov.2 (already have) 2. two Exodus Audio TempestX 3. four ED 13Kv.2 (on sale right now) Not really sure about what else. I really want to do two 15 inch subs...I'm thinking it should get pretty low and have decent SPL. Also need some advice about midbass...I was thinking about making some 8" kickpods lol.

How would a audioque HDC315 powered by a audioque AQ1200D sound? Are those a good match for each other?

okay i dont know about the rest of you, but i love hearing stories about how 'x' sub blew my friends away or my co-workers. the 'x' sub in this case will definitely be the magnum. so just post what you have accomplished or what other people have said after hearing it. i'll start. yesterday was the first time i've really let anyone see/hear my 15'' mag. the first words out of my friend's mouths were "holy chit that thing is massive". then they were all that thing moves soooo damn fast it's crazy! i've never seen a sub move faster than that. good stuff. post away people!

A gotta call from a friend of mine this morning. So here I am again. Does anyone have any experience with this sub? Loud? sound quality? will it run at rated power? I know this is kind of general without box specs but I haven't measured his truck yet so I do not have them. Just in general has anyone ever heard these things because I have pretty much stayed away from power acoustik.

are these subs any good, sum of my buddies have these and there sayin they sound loud low and clear. just want sum opinions on these, and wat would compare them 2? i was also looking at the A2400db amp for them, but idk if that amp puts out rated power..... any other amp suggestions... thanks

I have a friend who is wanting to buy a new sub he was looking at one of these. I told him to look at some Fi's but couldn't talk him into it.

I am needing to get the specs on th is sub. Unfortunately, I do not have much information about it. I know it is several years old and never been used. here are the pics i have of it. It also has a sticker on the side of it that says XS01048. I cannot find this particular sub on their list of subs on their website. I posted something similar to this a few years back and got nothing but off topic responses. I would really like to find out any info on this sub you guys might know. Hello folks I never before came across Power Bass until I joined this fine forum. I have heard a lot of woofers at the top of their game throughout the years (SI Magnums, Incriminator Audio DP's, RE XXX's, DD's and so on) but I have never heard 1. Power Bass 2. Well i just got an absolute powerhouse of a sub .. an Ava 15 do you think itll take an kx1200.1? ne one with expierience wiht it?

Will 480 watts be a sufficient amount of power for this sub? What's the best box I should use for this amount of power? I was thinking the recommended 2 cubic foot tuned to 29Hz would be a good choice but was wondering if there's anything else I should consider if I purchase one of these subs. Thanks.

i have a rlp 15 in a 3.5 cube box tunned at 37 with 50.25 square inches of port area. how much power can i throw at it? any advice is appreciated
