what are the fi btl and the audioque hdc3 comparable to? Im thinkin about buying ethier two 15in btls or 2 15in hdc3s, right know i have 2 15in kicker L5s ran off a memphis pr1.1000.1 in a prefabed box i love the way it sounds but im looking for more bass, i have a 1991 cadillac deville, so hopefully i can fit either 2 15in btls of the hdc3, because the web site says the btls require a minimum of 3 cubes ported to each woofer but I AM A try for 5 cubes each, the amp i wanna get to run the woofers is the AQ3500d. But even if i wanted to get two 12s of the FIs or the Audioques would they be louder then my 2 15s i got now???????? thanx guys cleanrockone

A 33w 16h 18.5d space for an enclosure a 1995 accord coupe a sundown 1500 for power i listen to classic rock and rap. i have approximately a $500 budget for two woofers. spl is my goal, but i do not want a fart box. i want loud low music nothing more. couple of woofers i was thinking about: IA DR 12d1 fi Q d1 ssa icon d1 PAP WMD 12d1 (they're so cheap!) im running a RE sx 15d2 that has been reconed by fi with some cooling and suspension upgrades. i'm open to suggestions on woofers and box designs, what port size, length and orientation especially.

i need 2 recone kits and was wanting dvc with a dsr of 0.7 each coil any suggestions baskets are Re 15" Sx

How well do these subs handle daily? I have around 2.7-2.9cuft NET MAX to work with (after port). What frequency do they like to be tuned to? I would like to daily beat and do comps so 38-40hz, or preferrebly lower? I would probably run 1000-1100wrms daily and 3000 for comps (a memphis mcd1000.1 and a sundown 3000.1) with a second battery, big 3, and 130amp alt (factory 90amp). cliffs. box size tuning port size daily good/bad? what do u guys think?

hey, i got a pair of MTX coaxials, they were $30 brand new so you can't beat that. i wanted to get components but i was low on cash and this was a pretty good deal. i am pretty happy with them other than the stupid tweeters. they are way too harsh and too loud for my liking. how can i fix this? i've messed with the 7 band EQ on my head unit and still can't get em down. are there low pass filters or sumthin to filter out the higher tones? like the opposite of a bass blocker or sumthin....?

which setup would hit harder and sound better all around, two rl-p 12"s or one rl-p 15"? also what would be a good amp to power the sub(s)? thanks!

I have a Mazda excab truck. I have alpine r 6.5 in front with dynomat and 5x7 r in the rear, powered by a pdx 4.100. Just purched a pdx 1.600 for subs need to know what you guys think. I listen to mostly older rock alittle country and very little hip hop. Help please.

Hey, I was wondering what the cones are made of? It looks like a pulp paper cone? If so, I take it they are holding up ok? Was it picked because of the light weight? Also wondering how I would wire 2-12's if I decide to go with them. I have a memphis mc1000d and wiring it to 1ohm gives you about 1100 w. So with 2 ohm d.v.c. I can only get 2 ohm and .5 ohm right? Does anyone know what the actual resistance is for the d2's wiring to .5 ohm. Like does it actually read .8 or like .3? curious because all the subs I have had never read exactly the correct ohm load. I don't want to have to buy a new amp to go with the mags. thanks.

I'm looking into a 10 or 12" sub and I'm tryin to find a choice from the Fi/AA lineup. I want to run it sealed. I'm looking for great SQ with a good amount of output. I have UP TO 1500 watts available, but i can go as low as 300 watts. The Arsenal seems to be the one to look at from AA's lineup without breaking the bank. The Havoc seems to be a bit too much SPL oriented i think? From Fi's lineup, I'm strictly looking at the Q. So how does Arsenal compare with the Q. Is SQ the same with a little less output, or does the Q have better SQ? Thanks for the help.

I got shafted by robotunderground with a dank adire audio brahma 12". It died after about 6 months of use running it on an Arc Audio 1000.1, 800w @ 4ohms. I used to have a 15 inch avalanche and i LOVED it. i would have ran 2 but they stopped making them. im looking for a great setup that is an LSQ setup which hits the lows GREAT. i want it to be hard to breathe in the car. im thinking of maybe 2 SI mag 15s with probably a 1000/1 on each. will probably be 8cuft ported tuned to 30hz. has anyone heard an avalanche 15 that can compare them? i have 4 15 RE SEs right now but i only installed one and i decided they were not what im looking for. any help will be appreciated thank you.

Ok in my new f150 ext cab turns out without serious work the p3s I traded for wont fit lol so I need assistance a relatively loud set of 10s or 12s that are less than 120 a piece and have a mounting depth less than 5.25 and airspace wise sealed between .6 and 1 cu ft thanks for suggestions

Hey, whats the biggest subs you guys think that will work good in my hatch? Its about 39" wide. Top of back seat headrest to the curve at the back, depth is about 18-19". Depends on how high you go from the floor. Floor to the back of the headrest is 16.5-17". I was thinking about doing two 18" Xcons with a sundown 3500. But I don't think I have the room. I would like to be as loud as possible and sound good. Thanks.

What was the suggested volume for the Claw Mag in a sealed box. I think it was 0.5 - 1.5, what do you guys suggest? Also what is the mounting depth for the claw mag? Thanks!

I am going to design a H/T enclosure for my brother's SX 15. It is a dual 4 ohm and was built in 2005. I cannot find the original T/S parameters for this driver, and non of my modeling programs have it either. I also have no idea if the current SX drivers are the same or not... Any help would be appreciated!

Now this sounds stupid as fuck because if you read it wrong it'll sound like a useless thing to ask, but hopefully you'll know what I mean. It seems to me that larger woofers, or well, more cone area makes the bass sound rougher around the edges at high volume. Not like clipping, but not a pure smooth note like at lower volumes. It goes away a little with the door open so I can only assume it's the pressurizations effect? I like it but I don't know what to call it. I only notice it with lots of cone and sealed up, and mostly in SUV's. Not really a question but just curious if it's 10 years of shit speakers or i'm right. im thinking about getting 2 dc level 4's (15s) and i was wondering if they come in dual one? i want to run both of them to one amp (possibly the sundown 2000d?) i want to run at one ohm. the dc site only says dual 2, so im just curious.

is the XXX suspension softer or stiffer than an SX, because compared to my SX, my XXX is not near as stiff, my SX is close to my friends L5, not quite but close, but XXX right from recone was not really stiff, is that right? just trying to solve some probs im having with my System

so after reading some I need to build a slightly bigger box for my Mag 15. It's home now is a 2.03 cuft sealed box. From what I read, I need it to be about 2.4 cuft. Or should I go slightly bigger? what will I gain from the bigger box??? someone said it will be more efficient, what does that necassarily mean??? also, I am going to build it and integrate an amp rack of some sort, nothing too extravegant. anyone have any ideas??? something simple, it is for a 2002 Altima if that helps. tirefryr.... there is a BLACK a404 on ebay right now. Just wondering what country these subwoofers are made in.

So I finally order a set of cheap comps to upgrade the crappy stock speakers. I'm wondering whats the best way to position them when you are so tall you pretty much sit in the back seat to drive? Right now I tend to hear the rear speakers more so then the fronts as I sit so far back. The front stage will be louder then the stocks running off the HU, so I think I might be ok. And advice from you other tall people? I'm 6'6" for inquiring minds. I was thinking maybe building pods just off the bottom corner of the door by my foot and firing the mid's towards the back more and possible putting the tweets on the pillars. Clueless right now.
