Can i use 2 1/2 dry wall screws to mount my sub in the box? Does it matter what line driver you use? Last question, will any RCA's work, if there cheap or not?

taking any suggestions on good side components for 2003 grand am...4x6's and 6x9's. does anyone have any experience with infinity kappas or no anything about them...? they look like good side components

i am working on a build and would like some feedback/info on my porting. a have a box that is net 7.5 cu ft. going to run 2 hdc3 15s and was going to tune around 35 hz . i figured on running 2 4inch aeroports and have come up with around 4 inch length on each for this tuning. does this seem right or am i wrong on my figuring. thanks a bunch for any info and opinions

Ok i'm buying 2 15 xxx subs. I need two amps to run these beasts. I was thinking about Hifonics Brutus 1500d or something like that? Does it actaully put out 1500 watts? I also thought about gettin 4 Memphis 1000d's and running one amp to each sub? Let me know bro's?

I have one of these that's been sitting around for a really long time. I want to build a box for it but I don't remember how big of a box I need and what I should tune it at. I can't find any info on these much less anything about the company. Anybody have any idea?

Over the past few days I've noticed my dcons bass excursion decline at random times and now it is at stable very low volume compared to how it used to sound. I've only been using it for a bout a year running on a crescendo 1000c4, it used to sound badass and shook my whole car up now its just a dull rumble. I don't think I blew it out because I've been running it at the correct wattage thru my amp and had it professionally installed and thought SSA was known for it quality woofers. can someone please help me out?

I just installed my maw-15's. And they sound great. But I know alot of you say i must break them in. How long will that take? And how would you recommend breaking em in? I usually just play at half volume, but once in a while turn it up about max then turn it down after a few seconds. I do this for about a week and then start giving the sub alot of power constantly. I get carried away sometimes and just want to give the subs max power. I have a problem lol. will giving it a good amount of power once in a while, damage the future performance of the sub? Any tips on breaking in? And is the after math after breaking them in really that dramatic? And anyone wondering if they …

How u doing, im from Miami Fl and i have a single cab dodge ram 1500 with 3 15" kicker cvx subwoofer in a sealed box. All powerd by 3 1100 MONOBLOCK MEMPHIS amplifiers. I have 2 kinetic batterys and a 250 amp alternator. I hit around 152.4 db with about 1.8 cubes for each speaker. what setup do u suggest? Maybe going with 2 15" subs like the FI BL and making a ported bot with about 2.5 cubes per speaker? Will a ported box be effective with the little air space i have? basically what speaker will give me the most db's with the set up i have now? here is a pic of my set up. Thanks for the help

This is what I have currently a sundown sax 1200d on a treo 15 ssi in a 3 ft cu box ported to 35 hz facing rear and I am thinking going 2 gcon 10s firing forward sealed off from trunk it's a little smaller cone area but would be lighter on suspension car is a 99 camry trunk is 32 deep 19 tall 38 wide just want to get most bang for buck do u think I will lose any output or will I gain

I have decided to go with 2 sets of Iseries comps and a 10" DCON for drivers. I will be running all off of a SAX 100.4. One set each on channels 1&2 with the sub bridged across 3&4. My question is which of the 3 box designs in the download section will be best at this power level(320wrms)? It will be for daily use with no intentions of competeing. My music tastes are metal/rock with the occasional hip hop/thecno thrown in for showoff purposes. Thanx for any help/info.

Ive already purchased 1 of 4. Im about to buy the rest when i get the money. Im powering them with a solid audio 2500d, they are dual 4's so it will throw me in .5 ohm, which is pushing around 3kw for me. Question im having is, what size should i make the enclosure. Many have told me to do 5 cubes. Im limited on space, but i want pure SPL, i SQ just isnt my thing, i want numbers only. What would you guys suggest?

Have spent some time in my car, tuning frequencys and adding/removing sheep wool from my 1"cuft box now. And the result is outstanding from what I can hear. The tight snap from the D2 really compliments the sound from my BA PRO 4.5 & 6.5 components. Slammed in Eric Claptons "best of" cd, listened to some Metallica, Korn, Toccata & fugua and a lot of other stuff. The only conclusion I can come up with is that this is by far the cleanest thing I've had in my trunk; I borrowed a sealed RF 2112 and hooked it up, and man what a difference in sound in comparison to the D2, blurry and with no thump. space problem in my trunk i can create a box with external dimensions: 28x16x40 inches. It means 9.8cuft. I have 0.8' wall thickness and remain 8cf Vb for speaker. In this case i have 5.5-6cuft for speaker and 1.5-2cuft for port. I know for one 18' sub i need 7cuft , but my question is: I can create a box with 5.5-6cuft ? I can tuning it at 30Hz and works properly ? (If not i buy 15' and i create optimal box) thanks

I'm considering getting a fosgate t800.4 or a t1000.4 for my components but the thing is..I really don't know of any components that will be able to handle that kind of power. I will have two sets in each door. And I wasn't to keep the price under $350 per set

Found a deal for 2 great condition AA Avalanche 15's with the xbl^2 technology motors. Both for $500 plus shipping. Sound like a deal or what? I was planning on using my 15" Q for a budget setup but from what I know about the old avalanches I want them so bad...even though I'd have to get a better amp, bigger box and upgrade my electrical I can just imagine how worth it it would be. Ideas? Btw they are both dual 2 ohm subs so I'd be looking at what options as far as amp load and such? And by that I mean that I know what loads are possible but what could be the best way to go about it?

Hello all my daily ride is a mercedes clk 230 Kompressor and my setup is two jl audio 12w6v2 sealed off a jl audio 1000/1.... very good SQ and output level not bad but............. i want morrrrrrrrrrreeeeeee So i'm interrested by Fi audio ! i can make a box of 3.5 cu ft maximum (volume net) a Fi Bl15 ported in a 3 cu ft tune to 32-34hz seem to be a good thing!! the 15" will be powered by my 1000/1 (1100-1200wrms) i think upgrade my amp soon and take a 2000wrms good choice? Just acquired (2) RD Sonance v2 10's. Does any body know what the recommended box specs are? Plan on running ported, thought id see if any one had them and / or could help me out. Thanks
