i was thinkin about gettin 2 of these http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6885_Beyma+POWER+12.html in this box in my next truck http://caraudiofactory.com/20002003-ford-f...nfire-p-54.html what do you guys think of that? according to the sites ive been on it need .7 cu ft of airspace, but i just wanted to know if beyma is a decently built product, b/c the specs on that sub seem pretty impressive

So I have an alpine v12 707 amp 2 channel which does 70rms at 4 ohms. Im just generally looking into components and these seem legit. Has anyone heard them? Are they any good? They will be for my front stage and I'm not sure if I'll be running a rear stage yet. Also, will 70rms be enough for them? rated at 85rms. I just dont want them to distort once I turn the volume up. (obviously not full blast)

Welp, ive decided to ge rid of the chitty MDF look in my truck but all the funky bends in my ports is cutting back on my potential SPL and probably is adding a little noise at high levels though i cant detect it because of rattleing....so ive devided, new enclosure time while im sintalling some SPectrum and Damplifier in my truck along with some open celled acoustical foam (cheap stuff, not Second Skin's stuff) foam between the back metal and the plastic interior panel to help trap waves in that little area and padd the smacking between the metal and the plastic. ive told you all that because i want to eliminate any possible port noises and gain SPL by having the least am…

Hi I recently installed a pioneer deh4200ub head unit in my car. It is a nissan altima without the bose system. I currently have 2 pioneer 6x9s in the rear deck and 2 5.25 speakers in the front door and 2 tweeters on the front door as well. Their at the same level as the side mirrors if you know what I mean. Anyway the speakers in my front door seem to rattle and I am just not happy with the SQ. I would like to upgrade to something alittle nicer. I am fine with the pioneer 6x9s in the back though. My friend has a 12" Phoenix Gold Tantrum-X subwoofer. It is discontinued. he bought it from some one for $40 in a sealed box with an 800w Boss Audio amplifier. I believe the subwoofer has a problem because we hooked it up to 2 different amplifiers and it did the same thing. (The amps were properly hooked up and set correctly.) THE PROBLEM: When you start a song the subwoofer will work like normal, but when the bass in the song becomes quiet and there's just lyrics and music the subwoofer will stop working all together. Need new sub, blew my 18" treo ssx. Anyone do recones for a decent price? Anyone selling an 18 that does 2500-3k? Budget is $300-400 Im open to other options as well. Im workin with about 4cu ft net ported, 5 sealed. Figured the 18 is the best way to go, but if 2x 15's sealed would fit, cool.

I have 2 12 inch pioneer champion pro's. The amp I am running is an hifonics zeus 3000 watt running at 4 ohms. When the subs are played there is a knocking sound coming from in the box. I dont think the speaker is blown though because when I put pressure on the back of the box, the knocking sound goes away. Any ideas?

Ugh.... So I was keeping this SA-15 I had near my closet next to my TV, not in use just holding it as I'm trying to sell it. I'm sitting in the opposite side of the room on the computer when a screw and clamp supporting a shelf in my closet rips out of the wall, a loud popping sound that makes me turn around in surprise. Amazingly the shelf manages to still stay up. I go over to inspect and see the clamp on the far left is not on to well. I wiggle it slightly, BAM whole damn shelf comes crashing down along with everything that was on it. We are talking a 3 foot long shelf about 6 feet in the air. I had lots of heavy schoolbooks on it, I keep jeans on it, notebooks/folder…

I am going to make my first attempt at a fiberglass enclosure for a single DCON 10. It will be right near the ideal 1.25 cu. ft. But it is a stealth install in a side well in the hatch area of my wagon. I actually use my cargo space. The question comes in terms of ports. I would like to go with aero ports for ease of use. My box won't be very deep so port length will be difficult to attain and keep tuning in the low 30's. What are some thoughts or recommendations? Could I go with Two 2" aeros? Final length would need to be about 12 total inches so two 6" long ports? A single 3" would need to be about 15" long and is not possible. Would two 3" ports be better?

I just had a mtx 9512-44 go out on me. Pretty sure it's the voice coils. I've had it for nine years (and its taken many trophies) do u guys know if mtx will repair it? Already ordered fi bl's to take its place, but would still like to have this sub. Sentimental value I guess.

I've been considering getting one of these subs but I am curious, I'm hoping that they are under rated a bit. And i know it is generally a good idea to over power the subs rather than chance clipping the amp, and I know how quality they are so I must ask will I be safe running one DCON on an Alpine MRP-M650 at 600w? I know that I can always gain down the amp but does anyone think they'd be alright at nearly full power?

Anybody have an idea how the 12" icon will sound for rock in and enclosure tuned this high or have any suggestions for an enclosure/tunning made for rock/metal. I read this woofer gets real low but was wondering if i could build another enclosure to swap out just for rock and metal.

Hey I'm getting a new car as soon as i get paid this month and I'm planning on getting some new stuff for it. I'm wondering about putting the Qs in a sealed box. Has anybody run them like this or maybe heard a sealed set-up? I'm really just wondering if they'll still sound good sealed up. Its also going in a Toyota 4Runner.

My son is looking at buying a DCON-12 S4 for his car. He will have a Alpine MRP-M500 pushing the DCON. We want to build a ported box for the DCON. SSA says optimal ported box is 2.25 cu.ft tuned to 28-33 hz. I tried downloading the box design from SSA. I can get the google sketch picture, but not the other file. Can someone help me with the box dimensions?

Okay the title says it all. This summer i'm going to put my RL-P in a fiberglass box (my first one, and yes I'm doing lots of research now). My question has to do with the compostion of the box. I've heard that nearly all fiberglass boxes contian quite a bit of wood (the glass is usually just for an ascetic front) and I've heard that 100% fiberglass (minus the mounting ring) usually sound really bad or "hollow". With that said, do you agree (considering the glass will he hella stiff, I'm going to overkill this thing). If including wood does make it sound better, do you have any rough estimates on percentage.
