Just curious does anyone have ant info. on the new lvl4 xl. Already a proud owner of 2 lvl4 d1's, an awesome set of subs. How could Rusty do any better? Beside those amazing lvl5's.

I have a Mazda excab truck. I have alpine r 6.5 in front with dynomat and 5x7 r in the rear, powered by a pdx 4.100. Just purched a pdx 1.600 for subs need to know what you guys think. I listen to mostly older rock alittle country and very little hip hop. Help please.

Installed my Next FLS 6 6.5" shallow mount components today. I decided to install the FLS's rather than the "regular" ALS comps because I have a fetish for shallow-mount designs and seeing how they perform Only have about 30 minutes with them so far.....put them through some tracks I'm familiar with and tossed in my IASCA test disk for a few tracks. Installed them in my doors; mid ran infinite baffle, tweeter in the stock location about 6" down from the sail-panel. Powered through the passives off of two channels of my Coustic DR-514 (50w RMS per side). HU is an Eclipse 8053. Low end is taken care of by a 12" Rl-p. Was just curious about which of these would be louder. 2 IA 187 10s in 1.5 cubes each tuned to 33 - 34hz or 2 SSA dcon 12s in 1.75 cubes each tuned to 33 - 34hz? I have the dcon 12s already, but my gf likes the way they sound sealed and I'm thinking of giving them to her with the sealed box. I've personally never tried 10s before, so it would be something new to me. I could get the 2 187 10s for an awesome price as well.

well just what the description says, is 1000 wattts to much for a 12 l7 in a ported box tuned to 30?

so i have my maw 15 in a sealed box 2.7cuft and was wanting to port it this is the largest box i can fit in my reg cab pickup does anyone no what size port to sue thanx in advance

I have a 2013 Silverado crew cab and I know under the backseat is my only choice without doing a custom Center console my question is what subs will really hit or single sub my budget is 1,000$ for my whole system and I will be doing all my own installation and I have all my door speakers already so I need head unit sub or subs box and amp and wiring kit and I wasn’t going to do any sound proofing just yet I know I’m asking a lot but I just really wanna know can this truck really bang with the downfiring or upfiring setup and if so any help with the box would be great

I have an IA 20.1 on order and am thinking of going with two Mag D2 15s for it. I designed a box that is 7 @ 30hz w/ 90in^2 vent area. I was wondering if you guys had tried that type box yet and just how does it do? Does it start to dip after 50hz? I am sure it wil probably ring my bell from 30 - 50hz. I am just worried it won't do much afterwards. About where would you said my 3dB down point would be? Also, I have a goal of a 146+ new TL with this setup Legal on music. 98 explorer....think that is too lofty of a goal?? Thanks :-D -Alex

hi, i am getting ready to put in me xxx comps in since i blew the tweeter in my current speakers. ( The newer type r's) i am wondering which amp would you choose if you where only runnning front speakers. Sundown Saz 100.2 and do passive with the came in the box x overs Sundown Saz 100.4 and do active ( the only thing that is turning me away is i want 200 rms @ 2ohm) Kicker Sx700.4 and do active ( see above for the turn off) Kicker sx900.4 and do active ( the only bad thing is the Price) Eclipse XA4000 and do active( 2 thing wrong not sure if the x over can run a 2 way active and the 175 watts) and if it makes any difference i am getting a pioneer 980bt for the headunit…

I disconnected my speakers and was listening to my sub by itself and I noticed that I could slightly hear some words. Everything sounds good and you cant hear it when the speakers are connected so I was wondering if this is normal.Thanks in advance for any help.

i called american bass and they said to run it in a 1.25 cubic feet box with ported to like 37 hertz does that sound right to anyone ?

I have my maw in a 2.45net sealed encolsure, and while it gets fairly loud, i long for a bit more output. I was designing a new box for it, and came up with around 3.1ct net tuned to around 33hz. only problem is fitting a large port in there. was either planing on a single 4" aero port, or dual 3" aero ports. slot port will not work due to size. My problem is i dont want to take up my whole trunk, and the dims i have to work with are 33"wx16.75"hx14"d. i would prefer to have the ports firing toward the rear as well as the sub. Not alot of port area, but the sub is not an spl monster, and has a lower 13mm xmax. just wondering what people thought of that setup as fa…

I have a sundown sa 15.Its in a custom box at 33hz, powered by a hifonics brutus 1200. I have cheap 1200 watt amp kit from walmart right now but here very soon im upgrading to knukonceptz kca 1/0 amp kit. First question is : will i tell a difference in loudness or quality from this better wire? 2nd question is : how should tune my amp for my sub. Right now i have everything set to half way. My level is set to where im pushing around 900-1000 rms. help me out guys! I will greatly appreciate any tips

So i'm trying to find a good component set for my 2004 explorer. The stock speakers are 6X8's. when it comes to components speakers, i don't really know much of anything. i need 2 sets, (4 speakers together) and my price range is near $150 a set. (perferablly lower, of course ) i was looking at the Infinity Kappa's 680.9's. anyone have any experience with these or other Kappa components? I got a 18" btl and a saz3000d, so i really need to get rid of the stock speakers. no rush though, i still have to buy an Iraggi Alternator and a Kinetik for the car before i start on components. A lot of you have already seen this, but I am posting it for those who haven't. This is my newly completed SQ project........ and maybe a little SPL on the side.
