Was goofing off on Fleabay, and saw these...14,000 for some 6.5 comps and a 400w amp? WOW! They do have a used set for only 8K. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Critical-MASS-audiophile-6-5-inch-complete-Front-Stage-Amplified-System-CM654a-/321336314419?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item4ad1230a33 Can they really be that much better? I think it is funny that they state 400w rms but pair them to 100w/channel amp. Makes these 5.000 dollar Morel's look like walmart speakers! (not knocking Walmart speakers- I have a set in my burb.lol) http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOREL-SUPREMO-602-6-5-2-WAY-CAR-AUDIO-COMPONENT-MIDS-TWEETERS-SPEAKERS-NEW-/400605811874?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item5d4…

Hello everyone, new to the forum and looking for a few thoughts or ideas. i have a brand new FI Q12 basic sub that sounds horrible in my opinion. I have had my hand in car audio for 15 years or so and this sub is driving me insane. its installed in a 2004 ram 1500 hemi and powered by a new kicker zx1500.1 in a box around 1.25 i know thats just outside the sub requirments. the speaker sounds as if its bottoming out or not getting the needed power, plenty of movement but no sound at high volume. low volume (scale of 1-20 lets say 10) the bass is clean 18-19 bottom out sound little bass 2-4" flex. i have a rockford p3d12 powered by a kivker 1500.1 in another ram it slam…

  3. Which one would be the best at 600-700W at 2Ohms in an SUV. Which one would be the overall winner on comparing the lows, distortion, mechanical noise, efficiency, how musical it is, how clean it sounds. Basically for an SQ build I'm gonna look into very soon. Other suggestions in the price range are welcome.

Looking 2 18's zcon or xcon for an Chevy Avalanche. Will be powering by a mojo 4 with upgrade alt, two kinetic 1400 for now. Looking more for sq right now, in at least 13-14 cubes after displacement (slot port). The zcon's do have a lower a qts, xmax, and bl compared to xcon. But spl is slightly higher on the zcon. Later might try an quasi 6th order. Thanks in advance.

I'm considering getting a fosgate t800.4 or a t1000.4 for my components but the thing is..I really don't know of any components that will be able to handle that kind of power. I will have two sets in each door. And I wasn't to keep the price under $350 per set

I saw on CL with a guy with only a dented in dust cap for $75. He said that's all that's wrong. It's a first version icon. I would love to have it. Can I get a new dust cap for it?

Just checking to see if anyone had any experance with C2 audio's line of subs? I just Purchased a pair of there Threatcon-4 dual 2ohm subs for what I think was cheap ($199 each shipped) and they seem to be well built. But there is limited videos and user info on them. They say they handle 1500 rms and have a 4" coil. They are a brick and morter store in ohio so Hopefully they will hold there own and someone can chim in that has used them. Tried to post t/s parameters but the picture with the white backround doesn't come out readable.

Working on redoing my previous setup to adjust it for my new car. My previous car was a mustang and i had the setup in the trunk on about 1400w at 1ohm. Sub is a 12" ICON in a sealed enclosure. For the new car, its a hatchback so it should be louder anyways. The alternator/battery isn't as strong as the mustang's was and its not really something i'm looking to upgrade right now. On the mustang I was running a cap which helped with the dimming (yea yea.. i know about caps, but it worked out for that setup). On this car, i'd like to do away with the cap. The thought is to run the amp (audioque 1200d) at 4ohm instead of 1ohm. It would drop the power down to 510w (…

I'm guessing it is vehicle dependent, but when you all are trying to plan out your enclosures. How do you all map out your graph on winisd if you even look at that. Say I was trying to build a box for my xcon that is not here yet and I wanted to build a box that was great for metal, but I still wanted a bump in the low end. What would your graphs look like, sealed or ported?

Ok I was thinking of replacing my current mid bass drivers, which are rockford fosgates t2652-s. They are a component set. I was looking in to the crescendo pwx 6"s would this be a good upgrade? If so what kind of amplifier would I need for them? I currently have the fosgate t400.4

  18. Im looking to upgrade my current set up. Ive narrowed down my choices to ether a DC level 3 15, FI SSD 15 with cooling and flatwind coil (which ive heard are comparable to a level 4), and an Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection 15. Ive seen a lot of bs saying that the DC subs dont have good quality soft parts and am looking for some people that have ran these subs before that might be able to give me some insight to help my decision. Basically im looking for the best sub on the lows that can take a daily beating. I have a 3.3 cubic ft box tuned to 34hz in my BMW 330ci and will be pushing around 1100rms daily from my audiopipe 1500d but will be upgrading the amp in the …

I can't seem to find anything. All I can get is info on the matrix elite, power, vector(purple), and old superman logo sub's. Thanks in advance for any help.

Im hoping some of you music wizards can help me with another system. I have a crew cab Silverado and I want a bad ass daily system. I don't want to take my back seats completely out, if I can help it I want an enclosure that I can slide if I needed to. I'm not trying to spend $$$$$$$ on a system. With that being said the amps that I can't seem to take my attention off of is the Saz3500 v2, fosgate t2500.1bdcp, and saz2500 v2, and I still have my saz3500 v1 that works perfect. My budget is $1000 for subs. I have about 7.8 cubes to work with. As far as the type of enclosure and tuning...it really dosent matter. I just want a ground pounder that digs deep and sound good

I'm in a real debate with myself here. The SDX sounds like a solid contender, but I'm getting out of the let's see how loud I can play my music and focus on a solid sound quality application. Not an all out SQ where I'm RTA'ing and fine tuning to a flat response, but something that will play reasonably high in the freq, and not drop off at 60hz naturally, and play relatively low, as I do listen to music that extends down to 30-25hz. I will be doing a sealed enclosure based on space saving alone. I have not bought an amp yet, as this will be the last thing i get after I purchase the sub. I'm good at researching, however I cannot find any good info on the SDX. The Le and …
