Got a nice new box, I wanna keep it. It's 1.75 per with a huge port (will edit in actual port specs later)tuned to 28hz. All of the higher power handling subs I see need more space so I'm looking for a subs that can do well in this box. I'm upgrading from SA-12's and the budget can be pretty high since this won't happen soon. Just looking so I can save up, or start saving.

yeah i know this i the SI subforum but since i own a magnum and want to mae my whole system sound great with the magnum i figured id give this A SHOT. im getting ready to slowly upgrade to a 3-way diy setup. i got midbass and tweets and i wanna make midbass in 2-way setup just the lows like 80-500 and then get a very nice midrange . partly becuase i wnana amke my kickpannels smaller and get a driver with nice off axis responce. my limit is around 50 per speaker and i want 4-5.5 inch through other forums ive limited down to these 2 but they arent helping me much decide which of these 2 i should get. sounds dumb i know... but what would be louder? 2 15" Kicker L7's or 1 18" BTL. im working with very little space and all being stuck with strict parents who want the spare tire to stay in the trunk of my jimmy so i have about 6.5 cubes at most. thats barely enough for either selection. either way i go i will make sure they have a good amp going to it and sufficent electrical. im just currious for what i have to work with, what would bang harder. im going with a ported box obviously. i REALLY want a BTL after seeing the amount of output these things do. i like my L7's aswell. im just curious and kind of new to this. m5a are you guys going to start selling any tweeters&crossovers Is that true that there is going to be a m5a car amp series? so i hear that the M Series is no more so do you have a new series around the same dollar or is that a thing of the past? any news on the new subs? in the past m5a had a plate amp do you guys still sell them and if so whats the cost?

so im new here but not to forums Bigbill035 at roe! and i was wondering if a ssd 15 would get more spl and better sq than a SA-15 im going to run it off a 1600d hifonix. im going to make a box at 4 cubes probably around 33hz and its going into a caddy fleetwood then to a eldorado when i get the front axel fixed. any answers or input will be appreciated thnx in advance. ~Bill

I have an current gen mag right now. I am curious to know if i give the sub less power can my enclosure size come down a few .xx cu ft? if i am being to vague please let me know.

Just got my 18" baskets in the mail for my zcon motors and the spider is only like an 8th of an inch all around bigger than the landing where its glues on to . .is this normal ?. 12 and 15 inch recones I have done the spiders have came almost to the terminals like at least half an inch from the edge of the landing. . . Kinda worried about there being enough space to glue down properly

WEll, I had some other enclosures to build today so I decided I'd get a little playtime with the Magnum in... My baffle is pretty much finished up except for the cosmetics so I went ahead and hung it all from the deck and ran some speaker wire from my truck to the trunk of the Cutlass. Wow!!! This thing is AMAZING IB!!! GOOD GOD!!! I love this; I'm so happy with this application right now it's like getting laid! I don't remember the last time I sat in a vehicle with just a subwoofer playing and actually enjoyed it. Hell, I don't think I ever have until today. I came across a good deal on a set of RE 6.5" components. Not the XXX model just the RE model. Looking for some input from guys using these/have used these in the past. Thinking about swapping these in place of my Kappa 6x9's since one of them is flaky. I'm not looking to compete or anything. This is in my daily driver and will be powered by my Alpine V-drive (60x4) I think it's more like 25-30 rms head unit unless these need there own amp.

im getin ready to buy an amp for my front stage but i figured i do some research on an active system. first off what i have now is a sony cdx gt310 with the ipod control. (im thinking only having 1 preamp output is a problem) polk db1000 tweeter, db525 5-1/4" coaxils, db690 in the rear deck, kenwood excelon x10d runing a 12" aa arsenal. i was thinking a 2way front stage would be best. i could fab a 6"~ woofer in the door and use the polk tweeters. what are some good products and what will i need to pull this off? i dont want to spend alot on this upgrade, it more of about learning how it works then buying 500$ worth of equipment to show up my friends.

hey, i got a pair of MTX coaxials, they were $30 brand new so you can't beat that. i wanted to get components but i was low on cash and this was a pretty good deal. i am pretty happy with them other than the stupid tweeters. they are way too harsh and too loud for my liking. how can i fix this? i've messed with the 7 band EQ on my head unit and still can't get em down. are there low pass filters or sumthin to filter out the higher tones? like the opposite of a bass blocker or sumthin....?

Any great enclosure builders on this forum? A need a 3.5^ft tuned to 28hz for a Mag D2 15". Can someone build a quality box & carpeted for under $200 shipped?

I recently bought a 99 ext cab chevy silverado. I am going to buy a pre fab box since i dont have the time or the resources to build a box. The box will be a downfiring underseat sealed box with 2 chambers with .92 cubes per sub, and a mounting depth of 7". The holes can be cut for round or square subs. I will be listening to rap, rock, and country. I need advice on a good subs/amp combo for this box and truck. My budget would be around $800 for the subs and amp.

Seeing that everybody dont care about going with the an all Treo system. What should I use for the highs and mids? The choice I have are Diamond, JBL, Cutting Edge, Powerbass, Cadence, MMATS, Bazooka and Kenwood.

I have noticed over the past few days my SPL15 was starting to rattle. I just pulled it out today and noticed the dust cap is coming loose on one side. Do I need to use any sort of special glue to fix? I was thinking of using some superglue. I also was considering epoxy but it dries too slow. Thanks
