Im really considering these subs. I have a 12" Fi/SX hybrid right now and am looking to get 2 10's instead. Im contemplating 2 soundsplinter rli-10's, 2 Fi SSD 10's, or 2 Lv3 10's from DC. What would be the recommended box size ported for 2 of these 10's? I'll be powering it with an ED nine.1 Also what would be the total price for 2 Lv3 10's shipped to 70051?

Aight. So I am looking over the course of the next year to find my dream sub. I'm not dissatisfied, I will just be upgrading. Now I have been looking around and there are so many options, and there are so many subs I do not know about. Anyway... details... -15" sub... budget of ~500-600 dollars -NOT an SPL sub, but I want it to handle around 3000-3500 watts all day -Fs under 30 hz (low resonance) -Xmax of 25+mm (above average excursion) -Good motor strength (average-above average) -Good mech. handling (I'll put in as big a box as I can) -It'll be ported for sure. Probably tuned around 28-30 hz. Now a fully loaded BTL w/ everything is 470 shipped. I figured my budget is…

Well right now I am gonna get either 2 Fi BL or 2 ICONS. They will be wired to 1ohm off my soundstream pca2000d. But in the future i will be getting a zx2500.1. On the kicker site it rates it a 2500 rms at 2 ohms. Are the kicker amps one ohm stable? Cause if i get dual 1's to run off my soundstream amp at 1 ohm then when i upgrade to my kicker amp and not be able to wire them to 2 ohm then i got a problem. I was thinking though if i just got Dual 2's and just ran them off the soundstream amp at 2 ohms for 1500 watts then just be set for when i get the kicker amp. Or can will i be able to wire dual 1's to 2ohms off the kicker?

running 3 sa 10s in each own 1.2cube ported boxs, i dont like the 80hrzt sounds but at 50it sounds godlike,, i think the 80snds like to many tones tryn to escape at the same time in the sub for the type of music, but on bass boosted music 50hrzt just blows the doors off, sound perfect and clean

When does the size of an enclosure start to be too big and start affecting performance? The reason I'm asking is because I was thinking of using the current box I have (it's for a 12") and building a faceplate for it, so I can fit a 10" in it. The box 1.21 cubic feet. I was looking at the 10" Icon, but after displacement there's still about .19 cubic feet extra. Is this too much extra volume?

Hello, I am currently putting together my plans to build a box for one fi audio ssd 12. I am going to build a ported box and I was wondering about bracing? I will only be pushing 500 watts to this sub but will be upgrading to 1000 rms in the future. I was wondering if putting 45's in the corners would be enough or if I need something more. I keep reading mixed responses about 45's in a sub box. I also am having a hard time understanding the whole port length thing. Any help is always appreciated thanks!

Well we had our Focal rep come into the shop today, and he was telling me an another co worker about all the new Focal stuff. I happened to ask him about the Focal Grande Utopia Em and he told me that they are the best sounding speakers he has ever heard. With the 180K pricetag for a pair, I would hope they sound that good. But here's my question, the subwoofer uses some new technology where it doesn't use a permanent magnet at all, but instead uses a huge winding of wire as a magnet. What advantages does this yield? I though I heard someone say something about controlling the force of the motor also. I just want someone to simplify the function of this.

Just thought I'd post and see if anyone happens to have a box design for under the seat of a Silverado Ext. Cab for a 12" Mag D2 ported? I've been working on mocking up a design - but I was hoping someone else may have already done it. I've got a 2" lift kit installed on the rear bench seat - so I've got more room than normal. Also, looking for ideas on which way the sub and port should be facing. All thoughts and ideas much appreciated - thanks!

I just got my cadence zx651 coaxials today in the mail and just finished installing them a little while ago. They look pretty good imo but it doesnt really matter since they are covered by the stcok grill. I would post a nice review but it really is too soon to say much with certainty. I did get to listen to a bit of an eagles live cd and i will say I was pretty impressed with these speakers considering I paid only $45. They arent amazing but they are a nice (cheap) upgrade from stock. The midbass is decent on these and the highs are pretty good too. They appear to be a tiny bit too harsh for me, but I am sure I can fix this with a little tweaking. I am also very tempted …

what can i put on the crack to help it hold together for the time being, its a sligh crack, and its not really getting any bigger, but it probably will with time, i bought it for the mini cooper, and im gonna use it until i need a recone. it doesnt have any affect on performance so at the moment a recone doesnt concern me. but im wondering if theyres anything i can put on the crack to help hold it together (hopefully something that wont be too ugly either) but ill have to live with it. I'm in the final planning for the enclosure I am having built inside the trunk of my Camry for 2 15" Mags. I haven't decided exactly what to do with the ports though so I need some advice. First off, I have 9.3 cubes gross to work with. The base model I am working with is 29hz tuning with 93"port area, 34" length and 7 cubes net for the Mags. But playing around with WinISD I have found a couple other things that work as well. For example, 29hz with 93" port but 7.4 cubes and only 32" port. Or, 30hz with 101" area and 34" length with 7 cubes net. My goal is powerful low-end and of course SQ. I might compete casually with this but I would really like to get good num…
