I am going to design a H/T enclosure for my brother's SX 15. It is a dual 4 ohm and was built in 2005. I cannot find the original T/S parameters for this driver, and non of my modeling programs have it either. I also have no idea if the current SX drivers are the same or not... Any help would be appreciated!

Would a RE SX 15" do well in a 2.0-2.5ft^3 Ported Enclosure tuned at like 33-35Hz, how would it sound, good or bad? RE recommends 3ft^3 as compact, but I've read on Tempro that a guy

Would a RE SX 15" do well in a 2.0-2.5ft^3 Ported Enclosure tuned at like 33-35Hz, how would it sound, good or bad? RE recommends 3ft^3 as compact, but I've read on Tempro that a guy had 4 RE SX 12" in 1.25ft^3 each ported and he said it was very loud and sounded good, so what do you guys think?

Hello everyone! I just bought an RE SX 18" sub from a friend. Unfortunately it has a blown voice coil. Is it possible to acquire a recone kit for this sub? How much would it be shipped? Thank you ahead of time!

What are your opinions on this sub? in my case, it is $48 cheaper than a RL-p (both being 15s). idk if im down with the 1000w rms though. do you folks think they will hit pretty much the same dbs in general, just one will sound nicer than the other?

I have an re sx15 in a box that I've recently discovered is all wrong. I went to re's website and used their box designer. And setup a slot ported 4.2 cu ft box tuned to 34 hertz. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this sub and what specs you built your box to. I'll be running it at 2 ohms off an saz 1500d. I'm looking for mostly sq with the rare spl moment.

I've acquired an RE xxx v3 with the xbl^2 technology I think its a 2005 version. I have just ordered a recone from Fi along with a 15" 12 spoke basket to get some work done in the trunk. I was thinking of putting this 15" driver into a 3.23 cu ft sealed enclosure. but I'm open to ported, displacement on this thing is like .23 cu ft. I am running a mmats d300hc (no subsonic, eq, boost, exc.) and it pushed an Fi Q to the max. in my previous setup. I do not doubt its power and capabilities of the amps control for this set up. I am very impressed with the Qs ability to get loud while sounding oh so sexay both sealed and ported. Has anyone ran these drirvers in the past a…

Somehow I've ended up with an 07' RE XXX 12" sub.....lol....Couldn't pass the deal up, so I snagged it. Was just wondering...I've got 2 Sundown Audio 3000D's..If I wire this thing to 4 ohms, let each amp see 2 ohms...that would equal 3200 RMS going to the subwoofer. Can this thing handle that much power day to day? I may end up not running this woofer, I may just keep it for the future....but if I do, I want to know if it can take the power. I know RE claims 2000 RMS, but if I keep my gains true and do not go full tilt, will it be ok....or am I going to be breaking out the BBQ sauce pretty soon? Any one have experience with this woofer? I'd appreciate it, if you would g…

Currently I have the CDT classic 6.5" mids with 480 x-over and tw25 main tweeter silk and I think the T1 silk upstage tweeter. I was thinking of upgrading the mid with the M6 and upgrading the x-over with the ES-200 but I'm not sure because of how bad the midbass is on what I'm using now. My highs are nice and loud but I have no midbass. So while thinking about this I've also considered scrapping CDT all together and going with a Dynaudio 242 GT set-up or even Morel HYbrid Ovations. While lookin at the prices of these I found the RE XXX and an incredible savings here: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=4928 So considering the price break I wanted to k…

Looking for some opinions as to how these are. How do they sound? How is the bass? It would either be these or the Morel Tempo 6s (both active). I like the XXXs because I've heard that the bass is good and I'm looking for a front stage with good bass as I won't have subs for a while. Thanks for any input

Just looking for opinions on these components. I have searched all over and can't really find any reviews. Just checking on here to see if anyone has heard a pair. I'm sure they have decent mid-bass just by looking by the design.

I fried the tinsels on my 2005 RE XXX 12D2. I don't know where to get a re-cone or what to do with it. I was going to get 2 BTL 15's and put them in a trunk on 5000W or whatever I could afford, I don't want to buy over 1 extra battery. Can you re-cone a 12 to an 18? Would an 18 on 1500-2000 W ported (through the seat) be plenty? It would save hella on everything, I bought it for $350 and used it for a year in a 1.7 cf3 box @ 37hz, it didn't drop but it had rich and neutral sound. I don't like the tinsels being exposed, they should have sewn them into the voice coil. Can they handle 2000W? 2500? 3000? My plan was to have atleast 3000W, and more cone area than 2 12's.

Hi there, im looking to get a new 12" sub sealed and focusing more towards SQ than SPL. Im pretty well decided on the Fi SSD 12" with the copper coil. It seems to fit the budget and sounds like it will do what i want it to. Im currently using the Mach 5 audio MAW-15 and want to change it up and regain a little trunk space. The amp im running is the Alpine MRP-M850 so it should be enough for the SSD. What would be the benefit of getting the Q over the SSD, they both look pretty similar except the Q would take more wattage which i dont have anyways. Thanks

Anyone know where I can purchase a re-coil kit for JL12W6 D2 dual 2 ohms voice coil? JL audio doesn't offer any re-coil kit. Also, is it ok if I use any other brands of recoil kit such as, Fi and any other brands that has the same coil resistance and size? Thanks
