Anybody have any experience with these? I thought about trying them about.

Ok so I checked my ohm load to see if it was really at 1 ohm. My DMM reads 3.1-3 ohms, so I pulled the subs out and tried from the connection. I got 1.5 on one side and 1.5 on the other, with out the jumper. They are 2ohm dvc. So why am I not getting them wired down to 1ohm when I put the jumper on from - to + as it should be? Some one plaese explain this to me. I mean I get that 1.5+1.5 = 3 but shouldn't I get .5+.5=1ohm? Then if it run it like if it was at a half ohm. It reads .8-1.0 ohms thats - jmped to - and + jumped to + Are the dual 4ohm subs? Even though the guy that sold them to me said dual 2? Oh and they BOTH do the same thing

i just got the SI D2s 15s (2 of them) and love it they are VERRY loud and VERRY Impressive. anyone that is thinking about getting some i will demo them for you. they will sell you on them when you hear them weather your a SQ guy or SPL they are a must have!!!! THANKS NICK!

So, what's the general opinion on the best sealed enclosure size for a 15" D2? Seems like a lot of people prefer 2.4cf? Also, is that before or after sub displacement, and what is the displacement of a 15" D2? Also, does polyfill do anything besides making the sub think the enclosure is larger? If that's all it does, why not just build the enclosure larger in the first place? Basically all this is the long way of asking, how big should my enclosure be??? Thanks~

I have Soundsplinter 15 in a 2.0 cu ft box. I would like to go to SI MAg 12. I would like to have output similar to a 15 so I want to go ported. How much SQ do u really lose. It goes in the trunk of Grand prix. I listen to some rap, but also some metal, reggae, and even techno. If u seal a Magnum do u hinder some of its marvelous attributes. I will be running Old School Orion( Pre DEI disaster) XTR Pro 1000

What sub gives you the best bang for your buck for daily driving.

okay so i have 1 set of components right now and it was reading 4ohms at the amp i got another set and was short of wires right now so i just jumped off the first 2 figuring i would just run 2ohms untill i get more wire in so thats 2 6.5s and 2tweets and now at the amp i am STILL reading 4ohms i poped doors back apart aech driver is reading 2ohms on driver side they are in series running to passive crossovers but when i check input side of the crossover it reads 4ohms no matter how many speakers i put to it i even tried running all 4 to 1 channel and i still get 4ohms could the crossover have a way to change the load like this?

the new SEs say SE near the surround where JL has their W7 logos on their sub and i dont like it. is there a way i can remove it with some kind of cleaner or something. want it to look perfect, so no painting or something cheesy like that thanks

Any thoughts on which one of these 15" subs would be helpful. RE Audio SE '08 series aluminum spoke basket design---OR---Oz Audio Matrix Elite series??? Both of these are the same price which makes it even more difficult to choose. Looking for SQ so it will be going into a sealed box. Both are 4 ohm dvc wired to a 2 ohm load as my amp is only 2 ohm stable (boston acoustics gt-28 1100x1 @ 2 ohms)

I'm guessing it is vehicle dependent, but when you all are trying to plan out your enclosures. How do you all map out your graph on winisd if you even look at that. Say I was trying to build a box for my xcon that is not here yet and I wanted to build a box that was great for metal, but I still wanted a bump in the low end. What would your graphs look like, sealed or ported?

hey everyone...so i just installed my new audiopipe ap15001d about a week ago and am loving it! this icon is a totally different beast now! for a single 12'' it makes things rattle like crazy! i have set the gain with a dmm for about 900 watts or so (my box is 2.5 cubes tuned to 32hz with 37.5 sq inches of port so i dont have it at the full 1000 because the box is the manufactures maximum size) but recently i have noticed some poping and cracking noises coming from the sub during certain songs. now it doesnt do it on every song and there are about 3-4 that are making it do this. Well my GF's mom is getting her tax check soon which measn im going to be planning their systems soon. Her moms system is pretty cut and dry. Either cheaper ocmponets up fron in pods and coax's in the rear or coax's all aroudn and an RL-I 8 or 10 for the sub. My GF's car, however, im not sure. i was going to give her my audiobahn 10's and put them in a wicked one...but i found a buyer. Soooo im thinking about getting her 2 RLi 8's or 10's and putting them in a wicked one. However she wants to keep her trunk space so my idea is this. Long story short i ended up wiring my Sundown 1000 watt amp positive positive(instead of negative) to my fi q postive negative wires. Sub only sounds good on lows(like 40 and below) anything else and it just sounds like garbage. My question is since this counts as user damage is it worth getting it repaired by the sundown and fi? or if you guys have any suggestions on anything.......because im guessing either of the 2 can be damaged. PS the thing that sucks the hardest about all this is i just purchased and installed my rainbow 265's and now that it was finally complete other than dynamat HALP

I got my MAW-10 today and noticed the box said impedance 2+2 ohm... I thought all Maw-10s are Dual 4?

Okay so i am getting a new system and i have few questions. 1. Why would i want 2 ohm subs over 1 ohm? 2. If i run 2 Subs to a mono amp what ohm do i want the subs to be? 3. Does everyone use both voice coils of subs? Whats the difference between using 1 and 2 coils. Thanks, Drake

This is something I am saving up for, so semi budget minded. I currently have 2 JL Audio 12w3v3 in a sealed box about 3.6 cub with 1500 rms MA Audio amp. I want to upgrade amp and subs. Subs will help decide what amp I get, I am trying to decide between a pair of Sundown SA-12 and SSA ICON 12. I have been looking and studing both for a while but cant decide since I have heard great about both, and looking for some advice to persuade me one way or another. This will be for a daily driver setup listening to rap/rock mostly. I prefer to stay with a sealed box but a new box will be made for the new subs. If it helps this is going in a 95 Mazda B3000 xcab.
