Subwoofers / Speakers

Can anyone recommend some 6.5" components for $200? I need to hurry up and order some before Christmas... The doors are not deadened but the MIGHT be some distant time down the road... I will also get an amp to properly power them... Also, would like to stay away from metal tweets... Will be getting subs in the future... EDIT: When did the shop start selling Diamond Audio? I thought there were no authorized internet dealers? Or did they just get their hands on some so they started selling them? I have been looking at the D661s component set by diamond...

So are there any more updates in regards to the D2? Pron, Price, etc....

so im going to buy 2 13" jlaudio w1v2-4 and i was wondering what would be a good amp or good amps for my sub, mid, and highs, and i was wondering what would be some good door speakers the faster i know is better so please give me some ideas

Hi, I am looking to get 2 new LSQ subs for my boat. I was planning on using the Fi Q 12's, since I have used them in my last boat and loved them, but since they are not available was wondering what you would recommend. I have read good things about the ssa icon, but was wondering how it would compare in terms of output and sound quality. I am using two individual .80 cubic foot boxes with some polyfill and already cut the holes for a 12. The amp I have wired in is a Cadence zrs 8000d which is able to put out 2000 watts rms at 1 ohm. Any advice would be appreciated.

What is the actual amount of clean power you can send to one of the lvl 2 subs? I know the website states 300 but it even says that number is an under rated suggestion. Also how much do these subs go for? Thanks for the help.

Ok so i got my tape measure went to the trunk and figured out my not quit max volume i could use for a box and came up wt 15.5cu^3 big ass trunk huh, and i was thinking about porting it to 46hz, but i would just stuff it for daily.. i was planning on 2 SX 15's....but ya neva know about subs these days.. i should put up hella numbers wt this setup :boink:

Well a friend of mine passed in a motorcycle accident the other day, and apparently he left me his truck. It's a 1998 Dodge Ram Extended Cab. I'm looking for a cheap subwoofer recommendation to put a pair of in the back. Don't have much money looking to spend around $100 or less per sub and get a pair. I listen to a lot of dubstep and rap so the lows matter. Let me know what anyone has for a recommendation. Don't worry about mounting depth. If the sub is the right price/performance, I'll just take the rears out. It doesn't make much difference to me.

I’m new to the forum so sorry if this is not the right place to ask. I have a 2013 Silverado crew cab and I know under the backseat is my only choice without doing a custom Center console my question is what subs will really hit or single sub my budget is 1,000$ for my whole system and I will be doing all my own installation and I have all my door speakers already so I need head unit sub or subs box and amp and wiring kit and I wasn’t going to do any sound proofing just yet I know I’m asking a lot but I just really wanna know can this truck really bang with the downfiring or upfiring setup and if so any help with the box would be great

what are good IB subs other than the orions??

I was just wondering how much different the 2004 models L7 to the newer ones. how much louder they are if they they sound better stuff like that.

I have 2 kmg-15D's. They are dual 4 ohm, 15" subs. I don't have any specs for these subs. If anyone has any T/S numbers for these subs, I would greatly appreciate the info!!! I need enclosure info for these speakers mainly. These subs were built somewhere between late 1998 and 2000. I need sealed and vented enclosure measurements for enclosure size, for sealed, and enclosure size, and port area/tuning for vented. Please!!! If anyone knows anything, let me know!! Well i bit the bullet and im buying used CD player. Eclipse 3400. while insalling my IS2080 i found my surounds on my RE mids where comming unglued and the coens where dry rotting. IE poor build quality though they sound great. one of the cones has actually begun to split with the extra power. So im going to have to get new mids, im planning on eventualyl going active so i'd like a good pair of 6.5's that have strong midbass, around 100w RMS or less, work well IB or sealed, and would integrate with me RE tweeters and overs for the time being.

looking for a pair of 10's or 12's.. with little cuft box requirements .very GOOD IN SPL and able to hit all notes have an eclipse hatch 1000rms or more need suggestions

What's Up Guys? I just recently bought a camaro and was wanting to develop a substage in it. I think I'm going to buy a subthump enclosure and was wondering what you guys thought I should do. They offer a deepwell enclosure whihc is what I was thnking of getting. I was wondering if 2 sealed RL-P 15's would be choked in 3.2 cubes or not? I have always used 12s and think 15s owuld be cool to use. The deep well box offers 3.2 cubes and then normal well enclosure offers 2.3 cubes. Deep Well Woofer Options-Single 12 or 15, and Dual 12 or 15 So Give me some ideas within these guidelines please. Thanks.

I am going to use SAZ-3000D, can an a DD9518 handle that. Also if I get an 8V head unit going to help me any?

So I plan on taking advantage of the SAZ-1500D sale this month and I am going to need to decide which sub(s) to purchase as well. I'm looking for a little guidance in this respect. I own a trunk car so I'd like to keep the size of the box down if at all possible - I'm thinking under 3 cubes. So that probably leaves me with either one 12" ported, or 2 12" sealed. I guess I could do 1 15" sealed too. I listen to mostly rap, so SQ is of little concern, but I don't want it to sound like complete crap either, at least to me. ( about 1/4 inch of spider and alot of glue) i tried to use a dremel tool but it made bad odors that i didnt think would be good to breath in. i also tried a metal brush in my drill "was going VERY slow" and a knife didnt work well either 2. what type of glue do you use when you recone and is it something i can pick up at any hardware store? 3. is this something not to har…

Hi guys, Im not quite sure if I put this in the correct section but Im sorry if its not right. Anyways I found I really good deal on a W7 on Craigslist close to my house. I was going to call the guy and make a time to check out the sub. Im pretty dumb when it comes to knowing what signs of abuse are for subs but I was wanting to know in general what are some things I WANT to see as well as some things I DONT want to see (as far as whether I should buy the sub). I mean I know that holes in the subs surround or any cracks are bad but as far as the mechanics of the sub what are some signs of abuse. Hope this makes sense.

i have an Orion H2 12 inch sub its rated at 2000 wrms my amp is rated 1200 wrms i've had it for quite a while now and im starting to get some mechanical noise, sorta sounds like its bottoming out, but i know thats not the case b/c it has like a 4 inch travel, and its def. not moving that far. i took it to the shop i bought i from and the guy promised that the sub was not blown, but said there might be something wrong with the leads. he said he wont send it in to Directed without the original reciept, which after like 7 months i of course dont have. its not that huge of a deal cause i think im gonna get a Fi BL pretty soon, but do you guys have any idea what could possibly…

Hey guys. I've been thinking about this for a long time and it's been bugging me. Anyway, I have a 12" Fi Q in a 2.5 Cuft ported box after displacement tuned 32hz getting a solid 1000 watts and, first I have to say it's an amazing sub, but I've been thinking about replacing it with a 15" IXL. What I'm looking for is to keep the excellent sound quality my Q has which I think the IXL would do very well, but also I want to have the ability of getting much louder than my Q if one day I decide to turn it up or demo or something. I had my new audio equipment installed today, and Ive got a few questions that Im hoping a few of you can answer for me, mostly about my amp Im running my 15" D2 off a Hifonics BX1500D wired at 1-Ohm, and the sub itself is in a 3.2ft^3 enclosure ported @ 32Hz. Im running 4-gauge interconnects from KnuKonceptz and using an Alpine CDA-9827 Head Unit (4-Volt subwoofer out).
