Old system: Some cheap Sony deck Infinity Kappa 5.25" components (2007) - KAPPA50.7CS Infinity Kappa 6x9" 3 way coax (2007) - KAPPA693.7I Infinity 10" sub - KAPPA PERFECT 10DVQ MTX Thunder564 - 4 channel MTX Thunder421D I will replace everything and all ready have: Alpine 9885 12" Fi BL - Dual2, Cooling, Flatwind, Daily Hifonics ZXi 6406 Hifonics BXi 1606D I was going to use the 4 chan. okay, i know a lot* of people are talking about Resonant Engineering nowadays and i could honestly say that i believe the praise that they get. however, i like being different and i always try to find that 'sleeper' brand. i wanted to know how these 2 subs compare. i'd like the most SPL possible without sacrificing much SQ. Hitting the lows hard is a must too. I plan on running 800watts one of these, ported. Anybody got experiences with both? Im kinna torn between these 2 subs and i need something to stand out from the other. any help is greatly appreciated. thankss

I blew one of my focal tweeters when my amp popped/blew and need to find a replacement. I really like the inverted dome TNB tweeter that came with my 165VR's much smoother and not harsh like all of Focal's other tweeters I am just replacing them I don't want component tweeters I don't want harsh tweets can't handle the piercing highs. What do I get to replace it/them. Going in an Escalade not stock location I believe they will have to be 45mm tweeters I really don't want to redrill. Not too expensive less than 100$ preferably 130$ max. Thanks for your help

Next I want to replace my current speakers, they aren't the best. I am trying to keep my budget around $600-700. I went to the local Car Phonics and they suggested this setup, and quoted me $692 (including install). I see a lot of people that's wanting to sell a pair of sundown x 10's. The thing is idk if I have enough mounting depth for them to fit in a wedge type enclosure for my truck. I know I have enough air space for them, but mounting depth is what kicking me in the a$$. How do you guys think they would work in a wedge style enclosure? I have been doing tons of searching here and on other forums as I try to figure out exactly what I want to go into my next build. My question here is on subs. I have it narrowed down to three choices(til someone decides to throw something else into the mix). Diamond Audio D6, Fi Q, and SSA ICON. I will be using 2 15" drivers in an ex cab ranger. Most likely sealed at about 5 cubes. They will be seeing 1800rms from a T1500-1BD. I like it loud and clear. Tight and accurate all the way down to 40hz and lower. Before i start, go ahead and go to youtube and search for HDC3, there are already some videos of them in action. I thought since nobody had any info on them that i would share what i have been told from the guy himself. If you thought the old HD3s were loud, ...haha get ready. There has been reviews about people doing direct swaps from HD3s to HDC3s and gaining, not loosing, gaining Dbs (not noticeable by ear, but by meter). So, what to expect out of these? The Fs rating on these subs are high, why? The Parameters for these subs were taken fresh. Have not been "broken in" yet. The suspension is still stiff as hell. i am in the market to buy a whole new setup for my car. i have no knowledge of any good component systems and i really need to be pointed in the right direction. my car takes 5x7's in the front and 6x9's in the back. in the rear i will be using 6x9's but in the front i want to run something other then a 5x7. maybe a mid driver. i want to stay with a component in the front but can u match components with mids? or r they the same. i have been looking at boston acoustic for the speakers and maybe a sundown 100.4 to power them. maybe an mtx amp. i am willing to spend around 800 for the entire setup. any suggestions on other manufacturers?

I've had several of these drivers in several sizes and haved loved them all (only cuz I got them cheap ), but I have an opportunity to snag 3 of the 12W6s for virtually no money. Does anyone here still consider these to be worth any value? I have no real use for them yet, so it would be nothing more than a quick turn-around investment. With all the new drivers out there though, I'm wondering if it's even worthwhile. The 3 I'm getting are of the first gen, but they are all unused and still boxed. Could 2 stock 15 Fi BLs handle a Sundown sax 3000?

any recomondations for a ccomponent(2way) set/ amp combo for around $400. I was thinking sax100.2 but dont know what to do for component set.

hi, i am helping a freind put together a low wattage system( under 1k) and he wants to use jl subs and is thinking of using to 2 13w3v3 off of a sae1000d ( my idea) and it is going in a 240sx and the box will be 2.25 f^3(per sub) tuned to 30hz. and i am wondering what are other people opinion on the 13w3v3 ( i already tried to have him get the w6 but he does not want to spend 300 per sub.) and he is going for LSQ

I am considering selling my Icon 15 and getting an audioque hdc3 15. Before I make a decision I would like to know if anyone knows the suggested airspace and tuning on the AQ's. My current box is 3.5 cu ft. tuned to 30 hz. Will that work for the aq also? Also I would like to hear some opinions on trading the subs out because I have gotten very curious about aq after I got m aq 1200.1 and saw the quality of their products. My main goal is to be loud daily.

Ok I've had my havocs for a week now, and now I'm just reviewing them. These monsters sounds so much better since last week, I mean they sounded awesome out the box, but now they are monsterous, and play God awefully loud and deep. These subs are amazing, and the funny thing is that I have it in a prefab box that had my Diamond audio d3's in and they sound so good and much better then the Diamond subs, I know they will sound much better in the proper enclosure. Thanks again Brian for the great customer service and great product.
