Quick question. I currently own a Kicker L7 and am looking to get a new system. I'm thinking of getting two 12' MTX 8500's with a 1,000 watt amp. I can get them for $110 each through MTX, which is why I'm really not looking at other brands though they may be a little better. I'm a metal head so I'll be putting them in a sealed enclosure. I'm told these will hit hard but will also stay clean which is what I'm going for. Does anyone own or have any experience with these subs? Am I crazy to not get them for the price? Would I be better off getting Kicker CVX's for $20 more? Any feedback would be great.

I'm currently saving up money for a system but I'm kinda having a hard time deciding on a subs. My options are 4 Mach 5 MJ18's or 4 Fi SSD15's. I want a loud daily driver and I would only do local comps, maybe. They would be put in their recommended ported box and they will be run off of a SAZ-3000d when it comes out. I know the SSD's are going to be more than double the cost of the mj18's but if they're worth it I would get them. What should I do?

  6. Sorry, but i dont know the terminology for it but it the big ol rubber ring, and it has very small scratches on it, and it is thinner in this one spot. It still has plenty of rubber, and there is no hole yet, but i am afraid it may rip when i play it loud. I dont know how it got like this, but it have happened when i moved. So should i replace now it or what until it completly rips to replace it, also which one would you recomend, and how would i install it. I have a Fi Q12, and a memphis 16-PRD 1000.1, all in a 2.25^3 cuft custom box ported to 32 hz.

  8. hey all, i just signed in w/ the forum. actually, what i wanna know is what size sub/s is best for my application. first of all, i plan on purchasing the Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS comps powered by the Zed Audio Gladius Burr Brown amp. has ne1 listened to these cause i agree the front stage is the most imporant. im building a SQ system for my 02 dodge ram single cab. so, air flow is a prob. my friend says that a 12 would be too big, but does it depend on the mounting depth + box size? I love subs like the crystal cmpx2 that they only make in a 12 and 15. even if say a 12 would fit; would it be too much? he also said 2 8's is best for sq but idk how. i realize sq is subjec…

Hey guys, I just registered on the forum, it looks cool. I frequent some other car audio forums and I heard this place was cool so I decided to check it out. Anyways, on to the question: I currently run a DD 9515 on an American Bass 3000 watt amp. I'm thinking of switching to a more SQ based system (the DD sounds great but they are not the best at hitting the lows below 40 hz or so). So, I'm looking into maybe 2 Fi Q 15"s, but I want the new system to at least be as loud as my DD while gaining a little in the SQ department. The Qs would be run off the same amp getting 1500 each, and I would get their upgrade for power handling (forget what it's called). So whats your opin…

  20. I was wondering if I can send my Adire Brahma MkIII to be fixed other than Adire themselves. I got it a while back from Low-Hz, and it got shipped blown (once I opened the smashed shipping box, I pushed in the cone and it was stiff and made scratching noises) I ended up with a Mag D2, but I still have the Brahma and I want it fixed. Thanks

Question is power I want to get a Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 and go Bi amp on the components Rear channels midbass Front channels tweeters.. Does ANYONE know if EACH (the tweeters will see 100 watts each as the woofers will see their own 100 watts) these components handle this wattage ? The set handles a wattage of 120 watts BUT that is together as a set and i have no idea if it handles the same wattage by itself ? I know I know you are all probably saying why don't i contact the dealer... Well this is the be…
