I decided to temporarily put in one of my SE12's in at 2ohms on my T3002 in mono mode. Giving it approx. 800 watts. The box is 2 cubes after all displacement. For the port I doulble up a pc of 3/4" MDF and glued a pc of 4" pvc pipe through 1 layer and router a 1/2" radius on the top layer to make a homemade aeroport. The length overall of this port is 13". I don't believe I am right in thinking the tuning is at 32. Can someone double check me on this. Also am thinking about shortening the lenght of the port to get about a 35 hz tuning. okay here is the deal I have the zcon 18" in a 7 cubic box tuned to 33hz and I am pushing this woofer with a SAZ3K. The gain is put to match the radio and I have it tuned accordingly. Every Time I turn my radio up to full tilt the MASSIVE BOOM COMES FROM THE BACK! I dont know what it is but it is pushing a ridiculous amount of AIR through out my car and is making all the cars within a 7 car radius very upset with me. But thats only where the problem starts. The OUTPUT on this woofer with 3k is just so PURE my ears almost cant handle it. but the problem doesnt even start there!!!! HERE IS THE PROBLEM! Well its official! I just bought 4 Eminence Alpha 12s and 8 Selenium Bullet tweeters. Will be reusing the 8 Alpha 6s I have also. Was going to do 8 6s, 8 8s, 4 12s, and 8 tweets, but its just too much money. Instead of all 100.2s, Ill be running a 100.4 on the 8 6s, a 100.4 bridged on the 4 12s, and a 100.2 on the 8 Bullets. Ok, I'm stumped. I have an Fi SSD 15" sub dual 2 ohm. and a sun down sae-1200d amp. The other day I was driving around beating, when all of the sudden my beats just stopped. After a few seconds the sub started beating again, then stopped again and hasn't come back on since. I got out to look everything over, all the fuses were good (including the one under my hood). The one thing I noticed was the amp was in protection mode. I turned my car off for a bit then turned it back on. I went back and looked at the amp, and the light was green for about 45 seconds, then switched to red ( Protection mode). ok this is where is gets weird. I unhooked everything and looked it over…

I want to upgrade to 1 18 that will be louder than my 2 15's Memphis PR. I was looking at BL, BTL, AQ3, Mach IXL, or maybe even DD but I dont know the prices on those

um so i got my system hooked up and i crank it up for a bit and this smell comes out of nowhere, i think its the stuff melting around the cone, either that or my Voice coil is layin on the beach. But it is still playin jsut fine.... any ideas??

Ah well, it happens. It feels louder to me, but then again, I'm about 3 feet away from the meter, and it only said 143db... Also the ports were aimed up instead of backwards, so that definetely has something to do with it. In any case, the subs are out of the car... I dunno if they'll be going back in anytime soon, but maybe. In the meantime, I'm enjoying having my handling back, the car is so much more tossable now Also installed a pair of MLI-65's in the rear deck of my friends 99 accord 4dr, running as subs. Will make a thread on that in the future. Quick summary: Good bass. Actually scratch that, make that pretty darn good bass. Untouchable for $20 a pop.

Hey guys, I have an '01 sonoma reg. cab. I'm looking for some opinions on what subs to run in it. I have roughly 1.67cf internal space to work with. I'm leaning toward a single 10 ported, but I'm open to suggestions. The sub(s) will be seeing around 1000-1200watts total. I'm more of a spl than sq guy so I'm thinking ported is the way to go. Also, I'm 6'-4" so leg room is nice to have. Anymore than one or two clicks and I'll be eating the dash. I've thought about a blow-thru, but I've had them before and really want to try and do this without cutting up my truck. Thanks in advance for your input. -Lee

soo... i have since sold my 18" XCON and saz1500 since my alternator could not keep up at all. i will be getting a 320HP from DC. and maybe upgrading to a 270XP if that doesnt do enough for me. so, here are my plans: keeping my headunit (Kenwood HD545U) going to be using 2 SAZ-2500D's for which ever substage i go with. i know i will need to get a ton of SDS (sound deadener showdown) not quite sure on my front stage yet. i would like to stay passive. i dont have much room for custom fabrication. but i would like to keep my Hertz hsk165 components. maybe somehow add an additional set? if i go this route, i will get a Sundown saz100.4 Where i need opinions is my substage!…

low-hz absolutely refuse to ship anything to me (i`m in Norway as in Europe), and www.innovativerides.com links me right back to SI`s website. are you keeping these subs strictly whit in US borders or something? some military secrets or something you put in them maybe? but seriously. i want 2 new BM`s but don't know how to get`em. any help is welcome here.. thanks steve

Hello Everyone, Just dropping in to tell you that we found a basket/frame that will work nicely for the Delta midrange drivers however we are still lacking a basket for the omegas. I'm not going to set any kind of release date considering how unpredictable this sort of thing has turned out to be. Once we have a production version of the prototype it should be approximately 1-1.5 months before production can start full swing if the lead times we have been dealing with are any indication. AQ recommends what seems to be a pretty high tuning of 38hz. does anybody with these subs tell me if they can still dig pretty deep notes (i listen mostly to rap, but i also watch DVD's in my car) thanks

I'm thinking about doing an IB set-up for space reasons. What can I expect sound-wise when compared to sealed and ported enclosures?

Hey all, I just put two DD 1508's ported in the back of my extended cab f150, and to be honest they sound like poo. They do get loud, but notes just run together, no definition. That being said I'm thinking about offloading them and trying two maw15's sealed. I'm curious if these are more of a SQ driver, for the price they are hard to say no to.

Just wondering if ne1 went Sunday,about 50 cars were on hand.It was hot as *ell,got to see some decent cars but wasn't too impressed,had I had my ported box for the Mag I would've definitely got metered.The loudest vehicles were a pick-up(JL stuff) & some rust bucket on wheels ,dont know what he was rocking.Nonetheless we had a good time,got some free t-shirts & other misc. stuff.

ill have about 100-130$ for deading front doors. ive got a dynamat extreme 36^2 foot (bulk) kit in the trunk. which is enough just barly enough for my arsensal. what would be a good product to cover front doors with my budget? i was thinking about getin another dynamat extreme bulk kit for doors.

I currently have an older 12 alpine type r 2nd gen. Does anybody think going to a soundqubed hds312 would be an upgrade as a daily driver sub or would it just be wasted money? There is also no mention of the hds312 box recommendation, and I am wondering if it would be ok in a 1.5 cube sealed OR 2 cube ported. I would be running it off of hifonics brz1200.1d at 2 ohms for 900 rms but highly doubt it since stock voltage isn't at 14.4v, so maybe closer to 700?
