Ok guys im thinking about getting back into the sound game but not sure whats good any more so im looking for 2 10" subs for a competition set up but that will sound great for daily beating?

you guys may disagree with the drivers i chose, but this is what im going with. im selling the boston pro60s, and my jbl 6x9s in the rear, so ill only be adding maybe 70 bux to switch out to this setup, which is now going to be active as well. Front Stage: 2x B&C 6PEV13's Rear Stage: 2x Selenium 6W4P's (OR 2x Selenium 8PW3-SLF's) not sure yet, if the 8s will fit, i might run those. if not, ill do the 6.5s amp for the front and rear Mids: RF Punch P550.2 (ch1 will be the front and rear Left mids, and channel 2 will be front and rear right mids) same with the tweets, except a RF Punch P200.2 amps are like 240 shipped on ebay new for both, not bad. i need tweets though.…

SQ is very amazing..... but i want LSQ ..... more db with same SQ i have ordered my new amp : a rockford fosgate T20001BD .... 2600wrms/ 1 ohm but now i must buy my subs... i want to use sealed enclosure and i haven't a big trunk... i can do a 3 cu ft sealed box... (or use my actual box 1.25cu each 12" after diplacement) so could you purpose me a couple of 12" that will be a good combo for LSQ with my new rf t20001bd ? i love to feel the bass kicking at this time i think for a couple of Q12 ... all your an…

I am getting either two 12" fi q's or two 12" fi bl's and i was wondering if the rockford fosgate t.1500 amp is enough to power them and if the bl's are a big difference over the q's and how loud they are. I care about sound quality but if the q's are a lot quiter i would rather just go louder and get the bl's

Hello fellas, I just picked up a pair of Claw Magnums from Hoss. I've wanted to try these for a long time, and finally came across a pair that I could afford. My only question now is, what size of box is recommended for a pair of these subs? Also, if somebody could point me in the direction of about how much port area is optimal, that would be great also. Hey SSA I have a Memphis Audio 4k that i would like to use in my next setup. I have a ford taurus and i have about 6 cubes to play with here. i am looking for some subwoofers that would get me a loud daily set up . Im just looking for some other options the one of the options i have is 2 10' solo x's at 4k rms. but i was looking for something besides 10's. any help is appreciated. thanks.

Im about to buy a pair of lanzar opti drive with the aluminium cone and silk dome tweeter, the power seems to be over rated 200rms/400watts but just want to know, have any one listened to it and can it beat focal polyglass v2?

I have a set of alpine type R compenent speakers and the mounting depth is 2 5/18 and my cars stock speaker location is 2 5/20. How would I be able fit them if possible. Would a kick pod work? I need help asap.

Well i bit the bullet and im buying used CD player. Eclipse 3400. while insalling my IS2080 i found my surounds on my RE mids where comming unglued and the coens where dry rotting. IE poor build quality though they sound great. one of the cones has actually begun to split with the extra power. So im going to have to get new mids, im planning on eventualyl going active so i'd like a good pair of 6.5's that have strong midbass, around 100w RMS or less, work well IB or sealed, and would integrate with me RE tweeters and overs for the time being.

i am planning on getting a 12" 2ohm dvc lethal injection and the buy is claiming that wired in paralell it will run at 1 ohm and be able to handle 1000watts rms. is this true?

I just saw the Scion XB commercial that shows what looks like lower end Lightning Audio subs attempting to "throw down." What's the deal with commercials and TV shows trying to demonstrate subs "tumping" ... and it's always less-than impressive? If they had a new or old Mag in place they'd have themselves a much better commercial IMO.

I've been trying to decide on subs for a while now, and ported seems to be the route I want to go. Currently I only have 1000rms to work with (hopefully more later), but overall with this much power, should I be concerned at all about xmax? Obviously I will have a SSF, and just not sure how crutial it is for a high xmax driver. OK, so im trying to put new 6.5's in my moms car for christmas. and her stock speakers (blown) had 2 sets of wires coming to them, they were 2 negative and 2 positive. to each speaker. and the speakers i bought have only 1 set.(1 positive and 1 negavitve). so how do i hook it up. just put both positive to the 1 on the spaker? or only use 1 set of wires?

Okay, well, I'm almost complete with the fiberglass enclosure for the MAG 15, but it's about 80% glass. I am having a little trouble with panel resonance. Now, this was just the first listening session and it was without any poly in the box. I'm wondering if polyfil will cure this or is there some other means I should look to? The actual interior has been sealed with rubberized undercoating, but it is not a very thick layer and hasn't seemed to do much other than completely seal it up just in case there were any small holes (which I know there's not because I'm just that good). Any help?

Here is a dumb question, I already have my subs firing towards the trunk lid in my car. My friend has 2 15' Memphis PR's in his S-10 firing down.... I was wondering if I had the room could I put my subs in my back seat firing towards the back glass or could I have them face the floorboard..... The trunk rattles wayyy to much and I was just curious. Wasn't sure if it would work or not. ~MadroX

I spent some time on the net looking a different box design programs ,as I'm getting to build my first box ,and now more confused than ever. esp. with WinISD which many seem to use. There always seems to be a box or component of the software I don't know how to complete and so never seem to realize any ultimate box design. I'm leaning to making a sealed box ultimately, but am somewhat interested in a slot ported box if I can get the dimensions right that will fit in one side of the trunk of my car "95 Impala SS" and a programme that will let me configure those measurements. I did find a website with some ported box options, but something just didn't strike a cord right…
