I dont want shit from anybody In output does an Icon match up to a BL when hooked up to a Saz-1000D I dont care about quality i jus want to know about volume. Ive never heard an Icon so i dont know how it would stack up.

I need to decide on the speakers that will handle the top end of the audio spectrum. Here is what I have; my 18" Q with the BP option on a sundown 1500, the L8's from HAT will handle the mid, I have an older 4 chan v12 alpine, that should work, and if not... which will relaly piss me off... I'll need to get another 4chan, or 2, 2chan amps. I think the alpine gets about 45-65 per chan if I remember correctly, but I also seam to remember the rating was a good deal under actual benched amounts from when other people tested them. I'm using a stealth enclosure that holds a single 10". Mounting depth is 8" and has .75 cu.ft air space and is sealed.I listen to all sorts of music,rock,rap,r&b,metal,etc. I have looked at the following subs...Alpine Type-R 1042D(sounded good),IDQ v.3 (haven't heard) and Re Audio SE-10 (haven't heard).That 's mostly where the problem lies,I don't have any dealers locally that I can actually listen to these subs. I already have a MB Quart Discus 500.1( 250W x 1 @ 4ohms, 500W x 1 @ 2 ohms) that I picked up a few weeks ago for cheap.Would like to keep it under 150.00. Thanks

I did a quick search and it seems like an XCON in a sealed box is acceptable but curious to hear some additional opinions and or suggestions for a new setup in my New Jeep. I have had my 12" XCON powered by a Rockford T1500 running at 4ohms in a large ported box (forget dimensions) and it's been great for years. I'm looking to put a new system in my Jeep Grand Cherokee but I don't want the huge box in the back exposed. So I'm leaning towards a sealed setup. I could switch it up all together but I'd prefer to use the gear I already have. Opinons? Box design suggestions? Anyone else have a Jeep GC?

First time going active and need some help with aiming tweeters. My vehicle is a JDM '12 Subaru Forester XS. H/U is Alpine CDA-9887. I've got SSA Evil tweeters in my A-pillars (in swiveling metal pods) and SSA Evil 6.5 mids in the front and rear doors. They're all being ran off a SSA IC150.4. Tweeters are on CH 1/2 and mids (x4) are on CH 3/4. Where should the tweeters be pointed/aimed? I've read several articles but they all say something different (point at the driver, point at opposite headrests, aim between seats up at the headliner, etc). Is it just trial and error? ok so i got my sub running and i love it but there is many settings on the orion 1200d amp what do i set my crossovers at? my box is sealed at 2.65

So I am looking for a sub that could fit my needs. I need something around a 6" mounting depth as that would give me just over 1.5" of backspacing. I was planning for 4 sa 10's but my box wouldn't allow for it. My max dimensions for the box are 27-H x58-W x9.5-D1 x6.12.5-D2. Any help would be great.

Currently own 1 Fi BL 15 and I have been looking into competing. I have been doing some reading and a common limitation for the lowest power class in USACI, (1-600watts at 4 ohms? best I could find: stock 1, street beat 1, etc.) is one 12", two 10" or 3 8". Feel free to correct me and my stupidity any time! If I was looking to compete in said class(es), one 12 seems to be the cheapest route, so here are the options I have found for my budget, (whatever I can get for my BL + less than $100) 1: Used DC level 4 XL, (dual one) for ~ $290 (should I turn into dual 2? is that possible?) 2: Just the motor of the level 4 XL (send it into PSI or something and get it rebuilt?) …

I've been looking at your ""SQL"" subs and noticed that there's not reccomended enclosure specs. Can you post up what you think is best for each size in sealed and ported? And whether ported or sealed is optimal? Also When are the DVC subs going to be out?

Yeah i broke two of them from hitting the bottom of my seat. i had so other 8s in the same box and had no problem but the sa-8s had more excursion than i expected. my fault!. do you think i would have the same issue with the sa10?? i know they move a good bit.. just trying to figure out an option thats gonna work for these...

All this hustling & bustling with enclosures,has ne1 tried a free-air install with the Mags?At one time I tried it with a eD12O,it sounded OK but it didnt have enuff output for my taste.Maybe 2-12's would've done it, anyhow I think I read that some of u are going free-air,I would definitely like to hear ur input.NO Nick,I'm not plugging my Mag into a wall socket nor am I doing any free-air test tones(LOL),just wanna know how they would do in this type of setup.So with that said lets get out the MDF and start cutting out those baffles! :boink:

Ive got two 18" death rows in my truck atm. Lately its been annoying not having a window to look behind when i back up and changing lanes can get scary since i cant really see anything to the right of my except by looking at my right side mirror. Recenly i have been offered a 275 cash plus an 18" death penalty for my 18s. Ive been considering it since it would be nice to have a back window again. My question comes down to would this be a pretty good trade?
